  • In this paper, it conducted the following works to develop the selective test for the gifted of information science in elementary schools. First, it presented the discrete mathematical thinking as an essential competence of elementary information science gifted, through theoretical research with many expert's studies, in order to investigate the definition and characteristics of information science gifted. Second, it developed a test to measure the discrete mathematical thinking, according to the results of analysis of discrete mathematical elements, appeared in the 7th national mathematics curriculum, in order to extract the characteristics of selective test for elementary information science gifted. Third, regarding the verification of items in a newly developed test, it adjusted the difficulty and discrimination by conducting 2 sessions of preliminary test, and then finally confirmed that the standards of items in the test, by testifying sufficient level of validity after the application to a main experiment.

  • To declare conformance of multi-protocol Implementation Under Test(IUT), every layer of the multi-protocol IUT should be tested. According to ISO9646, single-layer test method is applied to testing the highest layer of multi-protocol IUT and single-layer embedded test method is used for the layers by layer all the protocols in a multi-protocol IUT. This paper proposes a new method for testing a multi-protocol IUT. The proposed test method assumes that a multi-protocol IUT is under test and that the interfaces between the layers cannot be controlled or observed by the tester. We apply the proposed test method to TCP/IP and compare the application results with those of the existing test turns out that the proposed test method significantly reduces the number of test cases as well as the number of test events while providing the same test coverage. In addition, the proposed test method shows the capability to locate the layer that is source of failure in testing multi-protocol IUTs.

  • The verification for the design limit margin of the power device for the information communication and surveillance systems using HALT(Highly Accelerated Life Test) reliability test is described. The HALT reliability test performs with a step stress method which change condition until the marginal step in a design and development phase. The HALT test methods are the low temperature(cold) step stress test, the high temperature(hot) step stress test, the thermal shock cyclic stess test, and the high temperature destruct limit(hot DL) step stress test. The power device is checked the operating performance during the test. In this paper, the HALT was performed to find out the design limit margin of the power device.

  • We compare many normality tests consisting of different sources of information extracted from the given data: Anderson-Darling test, Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, Cramervon Mises test, Shapiro-Wilk test, Shaprio-Francia test, Lilliefors, Jarque-Bera test, D'Agostino' D, Doornik-Hansen test, Energy test and Martinzez-Iglewicz test. For the purpose of comparison, those tests are applied to the various types of data generated from skewed distribution, unsymmetric distribution, and distribution with different length of support. We then summarize comparison results in terms of two things: type I error control and power. The selection of the best test depends on the shape of the distribution of the data, implying that there is no test which is the most powerful for all distributions.

  • It has been known that test collections play an important role for researches in information retrieval. A variety of test collections have been created in foreign countries, and have been heavily used by researchers. Although research interests in Hangul information retrieval have been rapidly grown up in Korea these days, lack of Hangul test collec tions makes it difficult to develop retrieval techniques for Hangul texts. This study describes the development of the KRIST test collection. The KRIST test collection consists of 13.515 bibliographic records. 30 queries and a list of relevant documents to the queries.

  • With increasing interests in renewables, more consumers are installing an energy storage system (ESS) in their backyards, and thus, the ESS will play a critical role in the emerging smart grid. Due to mechanical properties, however its operational dynamics must be well understood before connecting the ESS to the smart grid (and eventually to an IT system). To this end, we investigate charging and discharging processes in detail. This paper, then, proposes methods for four type tests (state of charge test, conversion efficiency test, response time test, and ramp rate test) that can assess the dynamics of the ESS. The proposed methods can capture accurate delay values of mechanical processes in the ESS, and it is expected for those values to help design real-time communication systems in the smart grid involving the ESS.

  • This paper developed the software testing factory-cloud testing platform (STF-CTP) to address the software compatible issues in various smart devices. Software developers who only require uploading the application under test (AUT) and test script can test plenty of smart devices in STF-CTP. The challenge for the cloud test platform is how to optimize the resource and increase the performance in the limited resource. This paper proposed a new scheduling mechanism and a new process of the system operation which is based on the OpenStack platform. We decrease about 40% memory usage of OpenStack server, increase 3% to 10% Android device usage of STF-CTP, enhance about 80% test job throughput and reduces about 40% test job average waiting time.

  • The purpose of this paper is to design Conformance Test Suite for BSP(Biometric Service Provider) based on BioAPI(Biometric Application Programming Interface) v2.0. The proposed BioAPI Conformance Test Suite enables users to test BSP with framework independently. A test scheduling tool has been embodied to use Test Assertion in the form of XML. In order to demonstrate the performance of the Conformance Test Suite, the experiment was performed by using both verification and identification BSPs. As the results of this experiment, we were able to determinate whether BSPs based on BioAPI v2.0 satisfied standard requirements or not.

  • The testing time and cost of developed software can be reduced by automation of the whole or part of testing process. Since the testing automation tools to be used currently have been developed without their interoperability, test case information such as test procedures, test data, and expectation of test results generated at the stage of test execution cannot be shared and reused in other testing automation tools, In order to reduce testing time and cost, in this thesis, we have proposed a software testing automation framework which makes it possible to share and reuse the test case information generated in testing process. To prove the availability and effectiveness of proposed testing automation framework, three testing automation tools that are available in current market were experimented by the test scenario. As a result of experiment, the testing time and cost could be reduced by sharing and reusing the test case information in software testing automation framework.

  • This study was conducted to investigate whether a computer information offered in advance of the test would decrease anxiety degree in coronary angiogram subjects. The study design was a nonequivalent control group, none-synchronized design. The subjects of study were 53 patients who were admitted at C hospital in K city for coronary angiogram. The 53 subjects were assigned to experimental(25) and control(28) groups. The computer information set up by researcher was used as the experimental treatment and 10 minutes long. Spielberger's state anxiety scale translated by Kim and Shin(1978) and sphygmomanometer were used for data collection. The data were collected from July 1, 2000 to March 31, 2001, and analyzed by chi-square, paried t-test, t-test, ANCOVA, and Pearson's Correlation Coefficients using SPSS/PC+. The results of this study were summarized as follows : 1. The first hypothesis that 'post-test state anxiety score will be lower than pre-test state anxiety score in experimental group' was supported(t=2.40, p=.020). 2. The second hypothesis that 'post-test systole will be lower than pre-test systole in experimental group' was not supported(t=-.30, p=.765). 3. The third hypothesis that 'post-test Diastole will be lower than pre-test diastole in experimental group' was not supported'(t=-1.42, p=.161). 4. The fifth hypothesis that 'the experimental group who is given the computer information will be lower in state anxiety score than the control group who is not given the computer information' was supported(F=9.17, p=.004). 5. The sixth hypothesis that 'the experimental group who is given the computer information will be lower in systole than the control group who is not given the computer information' was supported (F=7.16, p=.010). 6. The seventh hypothesis that 'the experimental group who is given the computer information will be lower in diastole than the control group who is not given the computer information' was not supported'(F=.55, p=.462). 7. The eleventh hypothesis that 'the lower the post-test state anxiety, the lower the uneasiness score during the test' was not supported(r=-.013, p=.926). 8. The eighth hypothesis that 'the lower the post-test state anxiety, the lower the nervousness score during the test' was supported(r=.326, p=.017).
