This study tried to find the effect to cognitive structure upon the momentum effect. The previous studies showed that the momentum effect is influenced by students' cognitive levels and the abstractness of test items. The cognitive structure is examined by cognitive level and cognitive style. Cognitive levels and cognitive styles are determined by GALT and GEFT respectively. The research method used in this study is time series design. The period is 50 days. The period is divided into "pre-test", "intervention-test", "post-test". Pre-test period is 5 days and in this period class instruction does not exist Intervention-test period is 30 days and in this period class instruction exist Post-test period is 15 days and in this period class instruction does not exist. Field independent students showed longer momentum effect than field dependent students. Formal level students showed less ratio of decrease on post-test than nonformal level students. Momentum effects is not artifact but the essential characteristics of science study.

This study tried to find the effect to the representation patterns of science concepts upon the momentum effect. The previous studies showed that the momentum effect is influenced by students' cognitive levels and the abstractness of test items. The representation patterns of science concepts are divided into 4 different types: quantitative and qualitative, verbal and image. The research method used in this study is time series design. The period is 50 days. The period is divided into "pre-lest", "intervention-test", "post-test". Pre-test period is 5 days and in this period class instruction does not exist. Intervention-lest period is 30 days and in this period class instruction exist. Post-test period is 15 days and in this period class instruction does not exist. The results showed longer momentum effect on the image-qualitative representation pattern than the other representation patterns. Qualitative concepts is formed better than quantitative. Momentum effects is not artifact but the essential characteristics of science study.

This study is the analysis of the concepts and the characteristics of the mathematics section of the College Scholastic Ability Test. The study starts with division of the history of the College Scholastic Ability Test into four periods. These are Introduction Period(school year 1994-1996), Adjustment Period(school year 1997-2004), Development Period(school year 2005-2011) and Conversion Period(up to present since school year 2012). The periodical division of the Mathematics section is considered as identical with that of the College Scholastic Ability Test. So we investigate the characteristics of the Mathematics section through the periodical classification. This study also proposes some tasks for the future Mathematics section of the College Scholastic Ability Test.

The ethanolic extract of Leucas aspera root was studied for its effect on the central nervous system (CNS) using pentobarbitone induced sleeping time test, the open field test and the hole cross test in Swiss albino mice. The present investigation revealed that the extract at the doses of 250 and 500 mg/kg, significantly prolonged the pentobarbitone induced sleeping time in mice though the onset of sleep was delayed as compared to control. In open field test the depressing effect was prominent from the second observation period (30 min) and persisted throughout the entire experimental period (240 min). In the hole cross test, the depressing effect was observed significant from the third observation period (60 min) and persisted up to the seventh observation period (240 min) except at fourth observation (90 min) for 250 mg dose group and depressing effect was significant from second observation (30 min) up to seventh observation period (240 min) for 500 mg dose group. These results support the finding that Leucas aspera root may contain biologically active constituent(s) having CNS activity.

The methanol extract of Diospyros peregrina bark was studied for its effect on the central nervous system (CNS) using the pentobarbitone induced sleeping time test, the open field test and the hole cross test in Swiss albino mice. These results support the finding that D. peregrina bark extract at the above doses has CNS depressing effects and indicate that D. peregrina bark may contain biologically active constituent(s) having CNS depressant activity.

Recently mechanical watt-hour meters are being replaced by electronic watt-hour meters. The replacement period of mechanical watt-hour meters is 7 years. This period is based on long term historical data. The replacement period of electronic watt-meters is also 7 years. This period is determined using the replacement period of mechanical watt-hour meters. However lifetime of mechanical watt-hour meters is different from the lifetime of electronic meters. In order to determine desirable replacement period of electronic watt-hour meters, accelerated life tests of major components in electronic watt-hour meters were performed. The test results showed that LCD was the component which had the shortest lifetime. In this paper, lifetime of electronic watt-hour meters manufactured by 3 company was estimated and life test standard for LCD was developed.

This study is aimed to investigate the effects of foreign exchange rates on stock market returns. For the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan and Korea, the cross-correlation precedence of foreign exchange rate on stock market is found in the case of Germany and Korea. But that of stock market is not observed in any case. We performed three kinds of causality and exogeneity test of Granger test, Sims test and Geweke-Meese-Dent test. The analyses on the full period show the time-lag causal, exogeneous relation of foreign exchange rates with Granger, Sims and GMD test for Korea. The United Kingdom presents the significance with Granger and Sims test while Germany reveals the time-lag relation with Granger and GMD test. When we divide the period into two parts with the Louvre Accord, the first part give the less degree of time-lag relation. But in the second period the three kinds of causality and exogeneity test propose consistent time-lag relation with foreign exchange rates on stock markets for the United Kingdom and Korea with the three test methods. And Granger's test prove German foreign exchange market have a time-lag relation on stock market.

PURPOSES : The objective of this study is to ascertain the curing period of cementless cold central plant recycled asphalt base-layer, using mechanical analyses and specimen quality tests on the field. METHODS : Cold central plant recycled asphalt base-layer mixture was produced in the plant from reclaimed asphalt, natural aggregate, filler for the cold mix, and the modified emulsion AP using asphalt mix design and plant mix design. In order to examine the applicability of the curing period during the field test, the international standards for the possibility of core extraction and the degree of compaction and LFWD deflection were analyzed. Moreover, Marshall stability test, porosity test, and indirect tensile strength test were performed on the specimens of asphalt mix and plant mix design. RESULTS : The plant production process and compaction method of cementless cold central plant recycled asphalt base-layer were established, and the applicability of the optical moisture content for producing the mixture was verified through the field test. In addition, it was determined that the core extraction method of the conventional international curing standard was insufficient to ensure performance, and the LFWD test demonstrated that the deflection converges after a two-day curing. However, the back-calculation analysis reveals that a three-day curing is satisfactory, resulting in a general level of performance of dense asphalt base-layer. Moreover, from the result of the specimen quality test of the asphalt mix design and plant mix design according to the curing period, it was determined that the qualities satisfied both domestic and international standards, after a two-day curing. However, it was determined that the strength and stiffness after three-day curing are higher than those after a two-day curing by approximately 3.5 % and 20 %, respectively. CONCLUSIONS:A three-day curing period is proposed for the cementless cold central plant recycled asphalt base-layer; this curing period can be demonstrated to retain the modulus of asphalt-base layer in the field and ensure stable quality characteristics.

This papers studies the causalities and effects on the relationship between international trade and economic growth in China for the period of 1950-2007, using the unit root test, the Granger causality test, the cointegration test, VAR model, and VECM. The results of this study are as follows: Firstly, in the unit root test, I found that each time series was unstable one that has unit root. Secondly, in the Granger Causality test, this papers shows that variable dlexp and dlinp influence on dlgdp and dlgdd, while bilateral causality relation between dlexp and dlgdp, dlexp and dlgdd for the whole period, for the whole period, pre-reform period and post-reform period. Thirdly, there is no cointegraion relation between lgdp(or dlgdp, lgdd, dlgdd) and lexp, linp for lgdd-limp in the whole period, and pre-reform period, while no cointegration relation for the post-reform period. Finally, in the impulse-response test, it was proved that lgdp represents (-) correlation with lexp for the whole period. Thorough the variance decomposition test, it was proved that linp(or dlinp) is the most affected variable of the each data and relation between linp(or dlinp) and lexp(or dlexp) has become bigger recently.

It was attempted in the present study to determind the effect of Korean ginseng on acute viral(B type) hepatitis by double blind test clinically and the results were as follows. 1. The double blind test of 4 week period showed no statistical significance of the effect of ginseng on the disease. 2. The double blind test of 2 week period, however, showed a significant effect in such clinical symptoms as appetite, stomach ache, headache, chillness dizziness, nausea and vomitting, stool habit change and jaundice. Improvement of the blood serum level of transaminases, bilirubin. alkaline phosphatase and cholesterol Chillness feeding period was observed.
