  • Purpose: This ethnography was performed to explore patterns and meanings of healthy life among aged women using senior centers. Methods: The informants were 21 individuals aged 65 years and older at 2 community-based senior centers. Data were collected from iterative fieldwork through in-depth interviews and participant observations and analyzed using text analysis and taxonomic methods developed by Spradley. Field notes were used with follow-up interviews and dialogue between authors to enhance interpretation. Results: Patterns of healthy life among aged women using senior centers were categorized by age groups within the context of the four cultural elements of taking care of the body, relationality, temporality, and spatiality: active and passive control, maintenance of interdependence and individuality, expansion and maintenance of the daily routine, unity of peer relations and sustenance of family relations, spending time productively and tediously, and complementary and alternative space of the family relations. Conclusion: The informants in this study demonstrated healthy life by maintaining and strengthening continuous relationships developed in the senior centers without being isolated from the family and society. Patterns of their healthy life differed across age groups within the socio-cultural context. Therefore, interventions should be tailored to address age groups and community needs.

  • The earliest of the Cultural forms have utilized different methods of artistic expression and aesthetic senses such as the Tattoo that symbolized the adornment of the human body. when viewing from the perspective of postmodern art and design, these cultural forms were redefined as a regression and intertextuality, a modern interpretation of Henna that had a subversive significance. Specifically, Henna design quickly emerged as a new style in fashion art which represented a postmodern phenomenon. It was introduced as a fashion style in korea about 10years ago. since then, the henna fashion trends is growing rapidly in the domestic market. However, It is growing without our unique identity due to indiscriminate and excessive industrialization. This study of Henna design, (similar to the art of Tattooing) sees from a cultural and regional perspective of orgin. This study interprets henna as a fashion style and analyzes symbolic meaning and aesthetic senses today with a clear definition of henna Design. from now on It's purpose is to establish the Korean Henna culture and the possibility of it being the fashion style that contains a unique atmosphere.

  • Due to the explosive growth of multimedia speech data, how to protect the privacy of speech data and how to efficiently retrieve speech data have become a hot spot for researchers in recent years. In this paper, we proposed an encrypted speech retrieval scheme based on long short-term memory (LSTM) neural network and deep hashing. This scheme not only achieves efficient retrieval of massive speech in cloud environment, but also effectively avoids the risk of sensitive information leakage. Firstly, a novel speech encryption algorithm based on 4D quadratic autonomous hyperchaotic system is proposed to realize the privacy and security of speech data in the cloud. Secondly, the integrated LSTM network model and deep hashing algorithm are used to extract high-level features of speech data. It is used to solve the high dimensional and temporality problems of speech data, and increase the retrieval efficiency and retrieval accuracy of the proposed scheme. Finally, the normalized Hamming distance algorithm is used to achieve matching. Compared with the existing algorithms, the proposed scheme has good discrimination and robustness and it has high recall, precision and retrieval efficiency under various content preserving operations. Meanwhile, the proposed speech encryption algorithm has high key space and can effectively resist exhaustive attacks.

  • Purpose: To understand the meaning of the lived experience with Person under train (PUT) for train or subway operators. Methods: The study was built on hermeneutic phenomenological themes from individual interviews of present-day train or subway operators in South Korea. Eight participants were selected to participate in the study. All qualitative data were analyzed using the heuristic guides of Van Manen. Results: Four fundamental lifeworld themes and eight sub themes emerged in the findings. The first theme of spatiality had'the place pressed by the darkness' and 'the train drags me there'. The second theme, corporeality had 'a foreboding fear', and 'debris of death that gets stuck in the whole body'. The temporality theme had'distorted time in chaos', and 'memory trapped in time'. Finally the last existential theme of relationality had 'intrapersonal encounter' and 'resentment and guilt'. Conclusion: The four existential lifeworld themes provided a framework for in-depth investigation of the operator's "lived experience." This leads to clear understanding of effects of PUT experience on related individuals. The findings imply that specific active nursing intervention strategies are necessary in order to treat affected train operators, and to prevent further issues in their work and private life.

  • This study is to contemplate an ultimate goal and new methodology the architecture and space design community should pursue forward by analyzing concepts in Kengo Kuma's idea of "Anti-object" and examining his design methods and characteristics. To this end, I reviewed space design methods and features in his book of "Anti-Object" and his architectures built around in 2000. The result is as in the followings. (1) Contact is an essential concept of "Anti-object" to connect and integrate divided materials and consciousness with time and space. (2) Elimination is a meaningful way to reverse "cohesiveness" of agglomerated cluster which is a form of object and reconstruct it into the form of passive and acceptive "Anti-object". This idea is realized through overlap of material property and removal of massing. (3) Minimization is a concept of "Anti-object" to set the temporality free from constraints of materials. Three-dimensional transparent faces and lines or patterns of porous materials can be used to remove static and coercive volume. (4) A particle is a "reflector of its environment." It rebuilds one-way or disconnected communication between human and architecture into an interactive one. Kengo Kuma materializes this "particle" by exploring positional relation with physical paths, precise details and measurements.

  • Acceleration of the fashion cycle has caused problems of environmental pollution because consumers made a lot of waste of clothes. To solve them, upcycle design has been uprised. This study researched the present condition through recent cases of upcycle design. The standard of collected cases is focused on used products which was already run out once and then has been recreated by being recreated with new design. Through this study, there is a purpose to provide solution of environmental pollutions and a right direction of upcycle fashion design. Collected cases are classified into five production methods. First method is Melting and Compressing, which it melts or compresses materials. Second method is Gathering and Combining, which it gathers or combines each different materials. Third method is Cutting and Dividing, which it cuts or divides products materials. Fourth method is Mixing and Changing, which it mixes materials, adds design elements, and changes of purpose. Final things are classified with multiplicatively used factors which are already divided.

  • In the era of new media, images hold an important position as episteme to express and convey ideas. Fashion films provide dynamic and unique fashion images, differentiated from prior fashion media as a representational tool for showing a realistic fashion image only; consequently, their production and spread are increasing rapidly as a new fashion media. This study identifies the meaning and type of fashion images in fashion films based on the concept of Deleuze's image that help discover distinctive characteristics of fashion films as a new fashion media of an expressive tool. Literature research was conducted on new media, concepts and types of images by Deleuze to analyze types of new media images. According to research, fashion image in fashion film is defined as a fashion event; consequently, three types of new media images are derived. As the result of the empirical study, fashion images in fashion films are classified by images of realistic movement, variable time, and virtual experience. The results of the consideration show that fashion films expressed fashion through temporality and narrative, senses, and diegesis. Fashion images of new media in fashion films portray fashion as a process that transcends reality and imagination.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the possibilities of architectural planning and expression of the relationship between structure and skin in contemporary architecture. For this purpose, we show interior space images -integration of structure and skin architecture- to students and experts of the related majors, and let them mark their feeling on the questionnaire composed spatial expression vocabulary extracted through the literature study on spatial sensibility, and analysis data. As a result, in contemporary architecture where the structure and the skin are integrated, form elements have a stronger influence on formation of space sense than elements of light and size, and aesthetics, characteristic, and temporality are common in the inner space, Three types of four types showed unique characteristics, and it was confirmed that there is a causal relationship between the spatial feeling factor and the spatial feeling. This means that the relationship between the structure and the skin can be considered as a planning factor, and this study is expected to be used as such basic data.

  • Purpose: This study was done to explore the lived experiences in older Korean women with early stage of Parkinson's disease. The research question was "What is the meaning and nature of the older women's experiences who were diagnosed with Parkinson's disease?" Methods: In this study, we adopted van Manen's hermeneutic phenomenological approach to find the lived experiences of older women diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. Six older women diagnosed with Parkinson's disease within five years participated, and data were collected through in-depth interviews. Results: Five fundamental lifeworld themes and seven subthemes emerged from the data. The first theme of corporeality had three subthemes: 'being shocked by an unexpected diagnosis', 'fewer things can be done due to the illness' and 'lost my prettiness'. The second theme representing relationality was 'hiding the illness because of others' whispering'. The temporality theme was 'fear of symptom aggravation'. The spatiality theme was 'being placed in a blind spot of information'. The last existential theme of material had 'obsession with drugs'. Conclusion: The results of this study provide an in-depth understanding of older womens experiences of living with Parkinson's disease. The findings can help develop interventions specific to these group of women to provide sufficient emotional support and accurate information.
