  • This study is to examine the validity of assessing basic-level proficiency in physics among incoming engineering freshmen through item analysis and standard setting. For empirical analysis, we examined the physics subject taken by the freshman class of 2021 at K University, considering its significance for engineering students. In this study, we initially performed item analysis utilizing both classical test theory and item response theory. Subsequently, leveraging the item and test information, we employed a modified Angoff method and the Bookmark method for standard setting. Consequently, the difficulty level initially set during item development was found to be higher than the actual performance level exhibited by the students. This study highlights a discernible disparity between the expected university standard and the real proficiency level of incoming freshmen in terms of basic academic ability in physics. Based on these research findings, a comprehensive discussion on the fundamental academic competence of engineering students was conducted, underscoring the necessity for formulating a tailored learning approach leveraging the outcomes from the basic ability test.

  • The gap between universities, scientific centers and industrial-production units is one of higher education concerns. In academic entrepreneurship, the university work simultaneously in education, research and entrepreneurship. The universities play a key and important role in providing educational opportunities in economic development. This research aims to develop and expand science as well as help managers to explain the process of technology transfer in entrepreneurial university. This research is applied-developmental type and on the other hand, data driven theories have been used in this study. Current model is generally tried to meanwhile compensate previous shortcomings, include some strengths such as considering domestic factors of Iran as well as update effective factors on the process of technology transfer. Finally the suggested model has been compared with existing well-known models that each one of those models have some drawbacks which have been tried to be minimized in suggested model as much as possible.

  • As the number of IOT devices is growing rapidly, various 'see-thru connection' techniques have been reported for efficient communication with them. In this paper, we propose a deep learning based IOT device recognition system for interaction with these devices. The overall system consists of a TensorFlow based deep learning server and two Android apps for data collection and recognition purposes. As the basic neural network model, we adopted Google's inception-v3, and modified the output stage to classify 20 types of IOT devices. After creating a data set consisting of 1000 images of 20 categories, we trained our deep learning network using a transfer learning technology. As a result of the experiment, we achieve 94.5% top-1 accuracy and 98.1% top-2 accuracy.

  • By utilizing the TPCK model, this research analyzed the present state of pre-service elementary teachers' competencies related to the use of technology. It also conducted the Importance-Performance Analysis to prioritize remedial issues to improve curriculum related to the use of technology. A survey was conducted to 165 pre-service teachers who are senior students at a University. A questionnaire was used to investigate pre-service teachers' perception on the importance and performance related to Technology Knowledge, Technological Pedagogical Knowledge, Technological Content Knowledge and Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge. As the result of the t-test, significant differences between importance scores and performance scores were found in all the competencies and 17 sub-competencies. In addition, as the results of the importance-performance analysis, 5 sub-competencies were found to be concentrated for the improvement, and 4 sub-competencies were found to be kept up because of their good work. Also 5 sub-competencies were turned out to have low priority, and 3 sub-competencies were turned out to be possible overkill.

  • Korean entrepreneurship education is strongly driven by government policies. Government ask to university to enhance entrepreneurship training in university. Our study focus on the effects of entrepreneurship training such as entrepreneurship education and students' business incubation club activity. What is important for the entrepreneurship education and club, this paper suggests an comparative importance of entrepreneurship education to incubation club activity. As the result, Entrepreneurship education raises intentions to be entrepreneur generally. Incubation club activity has similar effects too but it is not clear based on regression results. Between training(education and club) experience and non-experience group, there are different to plan entrepreneurial intention and to receive entrepreneurial circumstances.

  • The objective of this paper is to verify the usefulness and validity of ICT-based elementary education for musical composition using multimedia technology. Cearing with the characteristic of musical education, multimedia technology, which has made dazzling progress thanks to the rapid development of computer for the last several year, is expected to be a new alternative to overcome various problems of musical education and enhance students` musical function and knowledge. In particular, if ICT-based musical education is introduced in teaching musical composition, in which many elementary school techers feel difficulties, significant education effects will be produced. ICT-based musical education method in the paper identified imitation and problems in traditional theory-based learning and musical composition class using musical instruments and, as a part of resolving the limitations and problems, instructed elementary students in how to use a computer program and applied the program to musical composition class. As a result, the method maximized learning effect and improved stusents` ability to create melodies in a short term compared to traditional teaching methods.

  • Generally it is not easy task whether the stable systems governed by nonlinear ordinary differential equations are asymptotically stable or not. This problem often appears in studying a collision and avoidance control problem based on the stability theory. In this paper we devoted to finding conditions that the stable system obtained from the collision and avoidance control problem is asymptotically stable.

  • In this paper we propose a new turbo coded T-DMB system that replaces the existing RS code, convolutional interleaver and RCPC code by a turbo code without altering the puncturing procedure and puncturing vectors defined in the standard T-DMB system for compatibility. Simulation results show that the new turbo coded system yields considerable performance gain after just 2 iterations.
