  • Suspension noise from under a passenger car is one of the important factors that impact the perceptual quality for drivers. However, it is difficult to validate this by component level testing in the early stage of development, because suspension noise caused by interaction of the related parts has been found at saleable vehicles late during development or at the manufacturing stage, when many customers have already filed for claims. This study proposed a validation testing under research by the DFSS process that enables reproduction of vehicle level noise by component level testing using a shock absorber with the related parts, such as urethane bumper and top mount. This study also developed a compromised test matrix while analyzing the noise factors through experimental design and analysis of variance to determine what factors can affect noise. Based on this study, we expect that the vehicle level and customer claim can be validated during initial development timing by a more reliable component noise validation test.

  • 본 연구는 복잡하고 다양한 컨설팅 프로젝트에 참여하는 구성원들의 서로 다른 인식체계와 서로 다른 지식체계에 대한 프로젝트의 팀성과에 영향을 미치는 팀협업의 연구다. 본 연구의 목적은 컨설팅 프로젝트의 인지적 상호작용 과정에서 팀공유인지, 팀정보교류, 팀지식통합, 팀효능감의 매개효과를 분석하는 것이다. 본 연구는 선행 연구를 바탕으로 연구모형과 연구가설을 수립하였다. 컨설팅 프로젝트에 참여한 컨설턴트를 대상으로 자료를 수집하였다. 연구가설에 대한 실증적 분석을 위해 인구통계학적 분석, 타당도 및 신뢰성 분석, 가설검정을 위한 구조모형 분석, 팬텀 변수를 이용한 매개효과 분석을 수행하였다. 연구 결과, 팀성과를 높이기 위해서는 인식체계인 팀공유인지 및 팀정보교류의 개선이 필요하며, 지식체계인 팀지식 통합이 함께 향상되어야 한다. 따라서 서로 다른 인지 및 지식체계를 통합하고, 서로의 전문성을 신뢰하며, 성공적으로 팀 작업을 수행할 수 있는 팀효능감이 필요하다. 그리고 향후 인지 과정의 하위요인에 관한 연구가 필요하다고 본다.

  • Control of tool-environment interaction force to comply the robot system to an environment is of vital in many automated process. This paper presents the implementation of an adaptive force control with commercial robot system in two dimensional contour following task. A model reference adaptive control system, combined with the linear compensators, is implemented. That is, a use of adaptive control is to provide an auxiliary control system so that the contour following performance can be improved from that of using linear control system only. Hyperstability is used to derive the adaptive control law. Experimental verification of the proposed control system is obtained using PUMA 560 robot system. Data obtained experimentally shows that the use of additional adaptive control system improves the contour following performance about 30% in RMS contact force errors upon that of the system controlled by the linear compensators only.

  • This paper discussed the application process of the Dot Idea program. The Dot Idea program is an incubation and open innovation program co-created by Unitec, an incubator at Tecnosinos Tech Park, and an SAP innovation team. The main objective of this study was to cover an existing gap in the literature regarding the practical application of an open innovation methodology. Many companies seek interaction with external parties to enable advancement toward identified innovation opportunities. Technology clusters, parks, and incubators have played an important role in promoting connections and interaction. Consequently, the Dot Idea program emerged as a result of a joint effort to create a program using a design science research methodology aiming to foster new businesses and strengthen Brazil and Latin America as a hub to develop new solutions for traditional organizations. In regards to lessons learned, the Dot.health trial had some success but also experienced difficulties; these related to the relationships between startups and a hospital's internal teams, and startups' needs to be funded from the beginning in order to be fully dedicated to a project.

과학 다큐멘터리 만들기: EBS의 <빛>의 제작과정과 자문위원의 역할을중심으로 (Making Science Documentary: On the role of experts in the production of "Light" by EBS)

  • 과학 다큐멘터리는 대중에게 직접적으로 전달되는 과학의 한 가지 모습이다. STS는 과학을 더 깊게 이해하기 위해서는 '만들어지는 과학'을 분석해야 한다고 요청한다. 마찬가지로 과학 다큐멘터리도 그것이 만들어지는 과정을 살펴볼 때 보다 깊이 이해할 수 있다는 것이 본 연구자들의 출발점이다. 본 연구자들은 과학 다큐멘터리라는 '블랙박스'를 열어보려는 시도로서 참여관찰의 방법을 사용하여 EBS의 과학 다큐멘터리 팀이 2012년부터 새롭게 제작을 시작한 <빛>의 제작과정을 분석했다. 본 논문은 다음 두 가지 논점을 다룰 것이다. 첫 번째는, 다큐멘터리 제작팀이 과학을 이해하고 이를 구성안에 풀어냄에 있어 시각화, 삶 속에서의 과학, 스토리와 인물을 각각 중요한 기준으로 상정하고 있다는 것이다. 두 번째로는 다큐멘터리 구성안이 완성되는 과정 속에서 제작팀과 자문위원 간의 흥미로운 상호작용이 나타난다는 것이다. 특히 자문위원의 의견이 모든 부분에서 일방적으로 받아들여지는 것이 아니라 자문위원과 제작팀 사이에 여러 가지 충돌과 타협이 있었다. 이러한 특성들은 과학 다큐멘터리가 과학 내용에 대한 정확성이나 과학에 대한 구성주의적인 이해의 기준으로만 평가될 수 없는 독자적인 가치 체계를 가진 영역임을 시사한다.

네트워크 구조와 조직학습문화, 지식경영참여가 개인창의성 및 성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 실증분석: SI제안팀과 R&D팀의 비교연구 (Exploring Influence of Network Structure, Organizational Learning Culture, and Knowledge Management Participation on Individual Creativity and Performance: Comparison of SI Proposal Team and R&D Team)

  • Recently, firms are operating a number of teams to accomplish organizational performance. Especially, ad hoc teams like proposal preparation team are quite different from permanent teams like R&D team in the sense of how the team forms network structure and deals with organizational learning culture and knowledge management participation efforts. Moreover, depending on the team characteristics, individual creativity will differ from each other, which will lead to organizational performance eventually. Previous studies in the field of creativity are lacking in this issue. So main objectives of this study are organized as follows. First, the issue of how to improve individual creativity and organizational performance will be analyzed empirically. This issue will be performed depending on team characteristics such as ad hoc team and permanent team. Antecedents adopted for this research objective are cultural and knowledge factors such as organizational learning culture, and knowledge management participation. Second, the network structure such as degree centrality, and structural hole is used to analyze its influence on individual creativity and organizational performance. SI (System Integration) companies are facing severely tough requirements from clients to submit very creative proposals. Also, R&D teams are widely accepted as relatively creative teams because their responsibilities are focused on suggesting innovative techniques to make their companies remain competitive in the market. SI teams are usually ad hoc, while R&D teams are permanent on an average. By taking advantage of these characteristics of the two kinds of teams, we will prove the validity of the proposed research questions. To obtain the survey data, we accessed 7 SI teams (74 members), and 6 R&D teams (63 members), collecting 137 valid questionnaires. PLS technique was applied to analyze the survey data. Results are as follows. First, in case of SI teams, organizational learning culture affects individual creativity significantly. Meanwhile, knowledge management participation has a significant influence on Individual creativity for the permanent teams. Second, degree centrality Influences individual creativity significantly in case of SI teams. This is comparable with the fact that structural hole has a significant impact on individual creativity for the R&D teams. Practical implications can be summarized as follows: First, network structure of ad hoc team should be designed differently from one of permanent team. Ad hoc team is supposed to show a high creativity in a rather short period, implying that network density among team members should be improved, and those members with high degree centrality should be encouraged to show their Individual creativity and take a leading role by allowing them to get heavily engaged in knowledge sharing and diffusion. In contrast, permanent team should be designed to take advantage of structural hole instead of focusing on network density. Since structural hole can be utilized very effectively in the permanent team, strong arbitrators' merits in the permanent team will increase and therefore helps increase both network efficiency and effectiveness too. In this way, individual creativity in the permanent team is likely to lead to organizational creativity in a seamless way. Second, way of Increasing individual creativity should be sought from the perspective of organizational culture and knowledge management. Organization is supposed to provide a cultural atmosphere in which Innovative idea suggestions and active discussion among team members are encouraged. In this way, trust builds up among team members, facilitating the formation of organizational learning culture. Third, in the ad hoc team, organizational looming culture should be built such a way that individual creativity can grow up fast in a rather short period. Since time is tight, reasonable compensation policy, leader's Initiatives, and learning culture formation should be done In a short period so that mutual trust is built among members quickly, and necessary knowledge and information can be learnt rapidly. Fourth, in the permanent team, it should be kept in mind that the degree of participation in knowledge management determines level of Individual creativity. Therefore, the team ought to facilitate knowledge circulation process such as knowledge creation, storage, sharing, utilization, and learning among team members, which will lead to team performance. In this way, firms must control knowledge networks in permanent team and ad hoc team in a way mentioned above so that individual creativity as well as team performance can be maximized.

공업계 고등학교 수업에서 팀 기반 학습모형 적용에 관한 형성적 연구 (Formative Research on Team-Based Learning Model in a Technical High School Class)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 팀 기반 학습모형을 활용한 수업에 참여한 공업계 고등학교 학습자와 교사를 대상으로, 형성적 연구방법론을 활용하여 모형의 강점, 약점, 개선점을 도출하고 이를 통해 모형의 타당성과 통용 가능성을 제고하는 것이다. 팀 기반학습모형은 문제 상황 속에서 학습자 개인의 선행학습과 팀 구성원 간 상호작용을 통해 개인과 팀의 성과를 극대화하기 위한 구조화된 교육방법이다. 이 모형의 개선과 보완을 위해 형성적 연구방법론을 적용하였고, 분석결과, 모형의 강점으로 학습자의 동기와 흥미 유발, 학습자 특성을 반영한 교육 가능, 선행학습을 통한 자신감향상, 반복학습을 통한 개념 이해 등을 파악하였다. 한편 모형의 약점을 보완하기 위한 방안으로 현실적인 교과내용과 방법 편성에 있어서의 한계 극복, 현장감을 높이는 문제은행 확보 필요, 실습 기자재 확충 필요, 학습자의 사전지식과 경험을 고려한 토론 주제 발굴, 구체적인 팀별 활동과 역할 부여 필요 등을 제시하였으며, 개선점으로는 합리적인 팀 구성, 발표 기회의 공정성, 적극적인 참여 독려, 학습자의 선수지식과 태도를 고려한 수준별 학습 계획, 주요한 개념 사전 안내 및 토론 주제선별 등을 제시하였다. 최종적으로 이러한 결과들을 바탕으로 향후 공업계 고등학교에서 적용 가능한 팀 기반 학습모형과 운영방안에 대해 제안하였다.

  • In this part, thermal finite element analysis(FEA) is conducted for the experiments in part 1. The molten area of base metals are analyzed by FEA results and compared with experimental ones. Temperature data from FEA results are used to calculate the IMC layer thickness analytically at the interface. IMC layer is established as a function of time and temperature when there is an interaction between solid steel and molten aluminum. The IMC layer thickness is obtained by cumulative computations using the time-temperature data from FEA results.

  • 본 고에서는 최근 이용자 중심의 정보커뮤니케이션 동향에 대해서 고찰하였다. 특히, 인터넷 기반에서 컴퓨터를 매개로 하는 커뮤니케이션( CMC)과 인간공학(HFE), 그리고 최근 관심이 모아지고 있는 인간과 컴퓨터 상호작용(HCI)을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 이러한 인간중심의 정보 커뮤니케이션 과정은 이용자 입장에서의 인터페이스 설계에 큰 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

Binding of Lichen Phenolics to Purified Secreted Arginase from the Lichen Evernia prunastri

  • Secreted arginase from Evernia prunastri thallus has been purified 616-fold from the incubation medium. Purified arginase was resolved as only one peak in a capillary electrophoresis with a pI value of 5.35. The protein contained high amounts of acidic amino acids, such as Asx and Glx, and a relatively high quantity of Ser and Gly. The molecular mass of native, purified arginase was estimated as about 26 kDa by SE-HPLC. Substrate saturated kinetic showed a typical Michaelis-Menten relationship with a K_m value of 3.3 mM L-arginine. Atranorin behaved as a mixed activator of the enzyme (apparent $K_m$ = 0.96 mM); whereas evernic and usnic acid were revealed as non competitive inhibitors (apparent $K_m$ values were 3.16 mM and 3.05 mM, respectively). Kinetics of atranorin binding indicated that saturation was reached from 0.18 ${\mu}mol$ of the total atranorin and the occurrence of multiple sites for the ligand. This agrees with a possible aggregation of several enzyme subunits during the interaction process. A value of binding sites of about 12 was obtained. The binding of evernic acid was saturated from 23 nmol of total phenol. The number of binding sites was about 5. The loss of the binding ability of evernic acid could be interpreted as a single negative cooperatively. Usnic acid behaves in a similar way to evernic acid, although the binding saturation occurs at $0.14\;{\mu}moles$ of the ligand. This binding appears to be unspecific, and has 28 usnic acid binding sites to the protein.
