The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of socioeconomic status and the children's sex on mothers'teaching strategies and their children's responses during a cooperative problem-solving task. The subjects were 15 higher SES mothers and their 5-years-old children dyads. The mothers' teaching strategies and their children's responses were videotaped during a cooperative problem solving task and analyze using a scheme developed by Kermani and Brenner. The results of this study were as follows. First, the mothers with higher SES were more likely to promote 'independence' and less likely to 'verbal prompt'direct performance' than the mothers with lower SES. Second, the children from higher SES families were more likely to refuse their mothers' assistance. Third, the mothers of boys were more likely to use the 'direct teaching'and 'modify'strategies and less likely to use 'independence promoting'strategy than the mothers of girls. Finally, girls were more likely than boys to ask questions for assistance or assurance.

The study investigated digital literacy skills and utilization of online platforms for teaching by LIS educators in universities in Rivers State, Nigeria. The study was undertaken as a descriptive survey design. Three research questions and three hypotheses guided this study. The population of the study was twenty-six Lecturers from the three universities in Rivers State where library and information science are offered. The twenty-six constitute the sample size. Census sampling technique was adopted for the study. The instrument titled Digital Literacy Skills and Utilization of Online Platform for Teaching Questionnaire (DLSOPUQ) was used to elicit information from the respondents. Twenty-six copies of the questionnaire were administered and retrieved. Mean (${\bar{x}}$) was used to analyze the research questions and the null hypotheses was tested with t-test at 0.05 level of significance. The study revealed that there is no significant difference between digital literacy and utilization of online platforms for teaching by LIS educators in universities in Rivers State. Further findings revealed that LIS educators do not have the necessary skills to navigate the online environment for teaching without assistance. In conclusion LIS educators should be innovative and update their skills to meet up with global practice. It was recommended among others that LIS educators should be trained and retrained by the university management to cope with online teaching and provision of the right infrastructure by governments for effectives teaching and learning process.

To investigate how the online searching was taught in the departments of Library and Information Science, a survey was done to the professors teaching information retrieval course. Questionnaires were mailed to 32 professors and 26 returned. Information retrieval course, one of the central course attended by almost all of the students, covers online searching in depth. Lecture, hard-on practice, and homework were three favored methods of teaching. Among the 22 topics to be covered in online teaching, respondents showed substantially higher consensus except for sections of information technology and service management. However, respondents showed big differences in hours of hand-on practice and the systems used. Free databases through Internet used dominantly. The chronic problem of terminal and communication is solved by using campus-wide facilities. But the problem of teaching assistance is serious. Based on the results, recommendations to improve online searching education are provided.

웹의 장점을 활용하기 위한 수학교과 교수-학습 자료들은 이미 많이 개발되어 있으나 수학교과 자료에서 사용하는 수식이 대부분 수식 자체가 아닌 그림 형태로 표현되어 있어 수식의 계산이나 검색, 재사용 등 다양한 활용이 불가능하였다. 이를 극복하기 위하여 수식 표현을 위한 마크업 언어인 MathML이 개발되었다. 본 논문에서는 수학교과 ICT 활용 교육에서의 교재 개발, 교수-학습 도구 개발, 그리고 정보교환을 위해 MathML을 활용할 수 있는 방안을 제시한다. 교재 개발에 있어서 MathML을 이용하는 것은 수식의 수정을 편리하게 하고 재사용을 가능하게 한다. 그리고 MathML을 표준으로 사용하는 교수-학습 도구들은 수식과 수학적 개념간의 연결을 강하게 해 주고, 교사들이 이와 같은 도구들을 보다 쉽게 재구성하여 수업에 활용할 수 있도록 해 준다. MathML을 이용한 수식을 사용할 수 있는 게시판은 교사와 학생간의 정보 교환을 활발하게 하고, 이를 이용한 $\ulcorner$웹토론하기$\lrcorner$와 같은 다양한 형태의 ICT활용 수업을 가능하게 한다.

To instruct in accordance with learner's trait & preceding knowledge, letting the learner control the learning activities is the important task of educator & major goal of the Education Department this year. This article intends to provide useful Instructional Model for the teachers in fisheries marine high school, when they design the individualized teaching model using motivation. One of the major reason for the fisheries marine high school students' low learning achievement is due to the neglecting motivation elements in teaching - learning processes. Recently, with assistance of the information communication technology development, various teaching methods such as Individualized Multimedia Mediated Instruction, Internet Instruction, have come to the major method in activating motivation and computer-mediated instruction considering the learner's individual difference is the useful tools for the instructional efficiency. Because current navigation text book of fisheries marine high school have special characteristic considering the spacial context & time series from departing port to entering port, Teachers can maximize learner's learning accomplishment by using individualized multimedia & providing similar situation like a real navigation(simulating), representing this text characteristics. Thus this paper searches for the specifications of Keller's Motivation Model & Sweeter's Tutorial Model to solve instructional efficiency problems in fisheries marine high school & developed an efficient instructional design by integrating two models.

One of the latest teaching strategies is smart classroom teaching. Teaching is carried out with the assistance of smart teaching technologies to improve teacher-student contact, increase students' learning autonomy, and give fresh ideas for the fulfillment of students' deep learning. Computer-based technology has improved students' language learning and significantly motivating them to continue learning while also stimulating their creativity and enthusiasm. However, the difficulties and barriers that many EFL instructors are faced on seeking to integrate information and communication technology (ICT) into their instruction have raised discussions and concerns regarding ICT's real worth in the language classroom. This is a case study that includes observations in the classroom, field notes, interviews, and written materials. In EFL classrooms, both computer-based and non-computer-based activities were recorded and analyzed. The main instrument in this study was a survey questionnaire comprising 43 items, which was used to examine the efficiency of ICT integration in teaching and learning in public schools in Kuala Lumpur. A total of 101 questionnaires were delivered, while each responder being requested to read the statements provided. The total number of respondents for this study was 101 teachers from Kuala Lumpur's public secondary schools. The questionnaire was randomly distributed to respondents with a teaching background. This study indicated the accuracy of utilizing Teaching-Learning-Based Optimization (TLBO) in analyzing the survey results and potential for students to learn English as a foreign language using computers. Also, the usage of foreign language may be improved if real computer-based activities are introduced into the lesson.

Koreans who put a high value on confucian ethics traditionally have considered sex problems as taboo. Being faced with western liberal and hedonic culture that comes with waves of industrialization our younger generation who has grown in cultural backgrounds of confucianism has had mental confusion. Due to higher standards of living physical growth has quickened but mental growth has not reached there instead. Because of lureand trouble which come from this problem related with sex this is considered as a social problem. In this research through judgement which the most effective way that can solve adolescence sex problems is systematic sex education teaching method for desirable sex education is presented asfollowing First some supplement and desirable direction of sex education were proposed through the analysis of eight currently using home economics texbooks. A lesson plan was proposed using CAI program which was developed by authors with assistance of professional computer programmers. The CAI program includes following curriculum contents: 1concepts of sex This study ultimately aimed to let students develop desirable attitude and perspective on value regarding adolescence and sex, For this goal of research another lesson plan was proposed fostering classroom group discussion.

This study explores perspectives on responding to EFL students' compositions at the semantic level. In the last three decades, there has been a shift from product-oriented approach to process-oriented one to teaching writing. The shift has led to the criticism of the traditional view on teacher response. The traditional view has been under attack for its overemphasis upon form and ineffectiveness on improving student writing skill. It is also noted that research into students' reactions to the traditional teacher response has been inconclusive. The process-oriented approach, on the other hand, draws its attention to meaning and the logical development of thought as well as linguistic matters. In this context, the present study discusses what EFL teachers need to take into account in providing the semantic-level feedback on students' compositions. Firstly, teacher response to student writing is on-going; teacher feedback involves teacher intervention in the drafting process, the revision process, and the presentation of product. Secondly, in the writing conferences, the teacher provides students an opportunity to talk about writing, assistance and advice on the content/meaning of the written text, helping them expand and clarify thinking about audience(reader) and purpose.

In university of Korea, the computerization of facility management is lower level than other management areas such as educational matters, administration, library, computing center, teaching assistance, and teaching methodology. So we need urgently the blueprint for an information-oriented and integrated facility management system. In this research, It is presented and implemented an FMS(Facility Management System) for efficient management of the ground and underground facilities on a campus. This studies is computerized the drawings, protocols, and ledgers. It is used a GIS(Geographic Information System) to get the geographical information of facilities. The data more efficiently could be search and update on this system. The decision making process understanding the present facility condition, and analyzing the condition of location could be performed easily by the GUI(Graphic User Interface) of the system.

Upon request from the Tokushima Prefectural Senior High School of Science and Technology, two faculty staff members and eight students of The University of Tokushima visited the high school and set up a chemistry laboratory class for 59 students. Since the participating senior high school students were freshmen, four simple, safe and visual experiments were selected: 1) Water purification, 2) Surface modification, 3) Briggs-Rauscher reaction, and 4) Polymer synthesis and characterization. All experiments received a favorable reception as a follow-up questionnaire verified. Since the high school students enjoyed the experiments it is hoped that the results will strengthen the students' interest in chemistry. It was good opportunity for the observers; they recognized the difficulty of teaching students.
