The value that students consider important in math learning may vary depending on the student's socio-cultural background and personal experience. Although socio-cultural backgrounds are very diverse, I considered overseas vs domestic Koreans, and secondary school levels as variables in terms of students' educational experiences. Overseas students had a lower perception of the value in mathematics than domestic students, especially about understanding mathematics knowledge and the value of the latest teaching and learning methods. Middle school students perceived the value of mathematics as an activity higher than that of high school students, and high school students perceived student agency as a higher value than middle school students. In addition, I considered meta-affect as one of the individual students' experiences, finally meta-affect was a variable that could explain value perception in math learning, and in particular, affective awareness of achievement, affective evaluation of value, and affective using were significant. From the results, I suggested that research on ways to improve the value and the meta-affect in math learning, test to measure the value of students in math learning, the expansion of research subjects to investigate the value in math learning, and a teacher who teaches overseas Koreans are needed.
Background: This study involved a geriatric oral care expert who developed the competencies of students in the Department of Dental Hygiene and conducted preliminary research to develop an effective curriculum. Methods: A questionnaire was conducted in the last week of class targeting students who took courses in geriatric dentistry, geriatric dental hygiene, and practice. In order to confirm the educational effect according to the differences in the geriatric dental hygiene curriculum, the differences in students' achievement of major competencies, awareness of the geriatric dental hygiene process, class satisfaction, and ageism were analyzed. Results: Regarding major competency attainment, 'communication competency' was significantly higher in PBL education that combined theory and practice than that theory-oriented PBL education (p=0.038). For ageism, the tendency to avoid older adults was low in PBL education, which combined theory and practice, and was statistically significant (p=0.040). For class satisfaction, the rate of responding 'very high' for the 'class atmosphere' was significantly high (p=0.025) for PBL education that combined theory and practice. Conclusion: The PBL teaching method can be useful as a geriatric dental hygiene curriculum. However, it would be more effective to create a curriculum so that education in geriatric dental hygiene care practice can be combined with theory rather than a theoretical education alone.

This study conducted bibliometric analysis on studies of Korean intangible cultural heritage dance in the Seoul area and it aimed to figure out the tendencies of that research. For this, a list of Korean intangible cultural heritage dance studies of 24 events was collected and analysis was conducted through the big data analysis solution of TEXTOM. Text mining was used as the method for analysis. Research results showed that first, most of the studies were conducted on the Bongsan Talchum and studies on teaching and learning methods were especially actively conducted. On the other hand, there were not many studies on Gut and the need for research vitalization in that area was confirmed. Second, in studies on Cheoyongmu events, the term'contemporary Cheoyongmu' was used frequently. This can be considered the use of meaningful terms with regard to intangible cultural heritage dance that has changed throughout history. At this, the vitalization of research that can reveal the typicality of dance is demanded from research of other events as well. Third, there was a notable amount of research that compared and analyzed dance styles with regard to the Munmyoilmu. This was seen as the result of discussions in the Korean dancing world regarding archetypal dance styles expanding into academic discussions. Therefore, it was revealed that academic discussions can connect to academic outcomes apart from whether the matter is right or wrong.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the level of professor trust, achievement motivation, and self-efficacy of health college students in G university, and to analyze the relationship between these variables and its influential factors to provide basic data on improvement of teaching methods and academic achievement. The study period was March 1 through 30, 2018. Study subjects were 276 health college students in G university located in G. City. The survey was conducted by the researcher, described the purpose of the study and distributed and collected the questionnaires. The questionnaire consisted of professor trust 27 items, achievement motivation 28 items and self-efficacy 24 items. As a result, professor trust was higher when the grade was lower and the degree of major satisfaction was better, and in order of the division of the health administration, the department of speech-language therapy, and the department of nursing. Achievement motivation was higher in the first grade than in 4th grade and when the degree of major satisfaction was better. Self-efficacy was higher in order of higher grades. Professor trust, achievement motivation, and self-efficacy were correlated with each other, and achievement motivation and self-efficacy influenced the professor trust. The result of this study suggests that the achievement motivation and self-efficacy of college students will be improved based on the mutual trust among the members of the university.
The aim of this study was to investigate differences in the achievement standards from the 2015 to the 2022 revised national science curriculum and to present the implications for science teaching under the revised curriculum. Achievement standards relevant to primary science education were therefore extracted from the national curriculum documents; conceptual domains in the two curricula were analyzed for differences; various kinds of centrality were computed; and the Louvain algorithm was used to identify clusters. These methods revealed that, in the revised compared with the preceding curriculum, the total number of nodes and links had increased, while the number of achievement standards had decreased by 10 percent. In the revised curriculum, keywords relevant to procedural skills and behavior received more emphasis and were connected to collaborative learning and digital literacy. Observation, survey, and explanation remained important, but varied in application across the fields of science. Clustering revealed that the number of categories in each field of science remained mostly unchanged in the revised compared with the previous curriculum, but that each category highlighted different skills or behaviors. Based on those findings, some implications for science instruction in the classroom are discussed.
This study analyzes the results of a survey based on classes conducted in the field to understand the educational needs of learners, and reflects the elements necessary for SW education. In this study, various experimental elements according to learning motivation and learning achievement were constructed and designed through previous studies. As a survey applied to this study, experimental elements in three categories: Faculty Competences(FC), Learner Competences(LC), and Educational Conditions(EC) were analyzed by primary area and secondary major, respectively. As a result of analyzing CT-based SW education by area, the development of educational materials, understanding of lectures, and teaching methods showed high satisfaction, while communication with students, difficulty of lectures, and the number of students were relatively low. The results of the analysis by major were found to be more difficult and less interesting in the humanities than in the engineering field. In this study, Based on these statistical results proposes the need for non-major SW education to improve into an interesting curriculum for effective liberal arts education in the future in terms of enhancing learners' problem-solving skills.
My paper aims to discuss the possibility of training Korean Studies professionals in Eastern Europe. This paper has two aspects. One was discussed in three aspects about the role of Korean Studies experts in the local area. In addition, discussions were held in various aspects, focusing on the possibility of fostering Korean Studies scholars in Eastern Europe, with a focus on the Babes-Bolyai University in Romania, Eőtvős Lorand University in Romania, and Sofia St. Kliment Ohridski University in Bulgaria. For this study, concretely compared situation of lectures, students, professors in Korean Studies managed by these Universities. After addressing them in depth, suggested realistic improvements of problems which these Universities have in common. Especially in order to complement insufficient lectures of Korean Studies in these Universities, using the CEEPUS(Central European Exchange Programme for University Studies) actively which is operated by some of Universities in Eastern Europe is one of good methods and more need to expand the CEEPUS for developing Korean Studies in this area. And for developing teaching materials of Korean Studies suitable for local situation, local experts in Korean Studies and experts related fields in Korea need to highly cooperate with each other. As a final suggestion, for maintaining and developing the major of Korean Studies in Universities of Eastern Europe is very important in order to cultivate Korean Studies professionals in Eastern Europe.
The purpose of this study is to research the actual condition of on-line and off-line computer education in order to create more opportunities for the possibility of effective learning and u-Learning - based IT vocational education development of persons with hearing impairments. To carry out this study, we had a preliminary education of this study for a sign language interpreters who had working in a association of the deaf in Daegu, and had conducted a survey study participating for 100 persons with hearing impairments living in Daegu-Kyungbook Region. The results of this study were as follows: First, during on-line and offline education environment for persons with hearing impairments, factors such as teaching methods and contents, screen organization, learning effects, offering lecture material and subtitle, subtitle and sign language video of position and size, offering computer instructor who have a sign language interpreter with IT mentoring, on-line educational user environment setting must be considered factors for u-Learning - based IT vocational education development. Second, 74% of the subjects showed their interest in taking a course, after u-Learning contents are developed for persons with hearing impairments. Third, the subjects preferred IT device was a tablet PCs and IT certification related courses as their IT vocational education curriculum. Also, to link between professional training and job opportunity, subjects will need a IT vocational education courses such as computer intermediate and advanced levels.

The purpose of this study was to present a method of literacy education that would generate interest and enhance the effectiveness of literacy education from elderly literacy learners. For that end, the researcher interviewed and did participation observation with a total of 11 middle and old aged literacy teachers, operators, lifelong education teachers, and literacy students in North Chungcheong Province. According to the research, elderly literacy learners have a tendency to forget easily what they have learned and to learn properly through dictation, and have high level of competitive spirit, to make studying the top priority in their daily lives. Many playful activities for knowing meaning of writing, learning connected to real life, and dictating are effective in improving their memory and cognition. In addition, using familiar materials in everyday life, conducting role plays with comedies and poems in textbooks, utilizing large-picture fairytales, team-based games and activities, learning songs and instruments to play easily, performances and presentations on the stage, and field experiences in educational and cultural facilities can increase their interest and effectiveness in literacy. Several programmes such as presentations and joint events for sharing results, materials and materials costs, education and sharing of literacy skills for teachers at the school, annual operation of literacy education need to be supported to succeed literacy education in elderly learners. In conclusion, the research shows the need to increase literacy teachers' education, to use assistant teachers, to activate accreditation of literacy curriculum.
The purpose of this case study is to compare and analyze the covariational reasoning levels of two middle school students revealed in the process of solving and generalizing algebra word problems. A class was conducted with two middle school students who had not learned quadratic equations in school mathematics. During the retrospective analysis after the class was over, a noticeable difference between the two students was revealed in solving algebra word problems, including situations where speed changes. Accordingly, this study compared and analyzed the level of covariational reasoning revealed in the process of solving or generalizing algebra word problems including situations where speed is constant or changing, based on the theoretical framework proposed by Thompson & Carlson(2017). As a result, this study confirmed that students' covariational reasoning levels may be different even if the problem-solving methods and results of algebra word problems are similar, and the similarity of problem-solving revealed in the process of solving and generalizing algebra word problems was analyzed from a covariation perspective. This study suggests that in the teaching and learning algebra word problems, rather than focusing on finding solutions by quickly converting problem situations into equations, activities of finding changing quantities and representing the relationships between them in various ways.
