The present study examined the relationships between work related flow (i.e., absorption, work enjoyment, and intrinsic work motivation) and role conflict causes (i.e., teacher's belief, teaching and interaction with young children, comradeship, relationships with parents, workload, supervision, and social awareness of the job). A canonical correlation analysis was performed on the data from a sample of 154 childcare teachers. The results are as follows (1) there was a reciprocal-causal relationship between teachers' role conflict causes and their work-related flow; (2) canonical function 1 showed that absorption and work enjoyment are strongly associated to a teacher's belief and supervision of conflict causes; and (3) canonical function 2 showed that intrinsic motivation has a relatively strong relationship with workload and supervision of conflict causes. It can be concluded that it is important for childcare teachers to have sufficient job resources to promote their flow at work. Further research is needed for investigation of teacher's flow at various conditions of work.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of communication and cooperation between teachers and parents on infant care. Specifically, this study explored the direct effect of teacher-parent partnership on teacher-infant interactions and the indirect effect through teacher sensitivity. Methods: The participants of this study were 216 teachers in charge of infant classes at child care centers located in Gyeonggi-do. They responded to questionnaires on teacher-parent partnership, their sensitivity, and teacher-infant interactions. Data were analyzed using structural equation modeling. Results: First, teacher-parent partnership did not have a direct impact on teacher-infant interactions. Second, teacher-parent partnership indirectly influenced teacher-infant interactions through teacher sensitivity. In other words, a high level of teacher-parent partnership was associated with a high level of sensitivity, subsequently resulting in the provision of high-quality interactions for infants. Conclusion/Implications: This study confirmed the role of teacher sensitivity as a mechanism to explain how teacher-parent partnership is linked to teacher-child interactions. The results emphasize the importance of communication and cooperation between teachers and parents in enhancing teachers' sensitivity and, ultimately, providing high-quality child care to infants.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effect of teacher emotional intelligence in the relationship between job environments and teacher efficacy. Methods: Participants of this study were 205 child care teachers from U-city. Correlation analysis between variables was conducted with the collected data, and regression analysis was conducted to verify the mediating effect of emotional intelligence in the relationship between the job environment of daycare centers and teacher efficacy. Results: First, there was a positive correlation between job environments, teacher efficacy, and teacher emotional intelligence. Second, job environments and teacher emotional intelligence had a significant direct effect on teacher efficacy and teacher emotional intelligence also had a significant indirect effect between job environments and teacher efficacy. Conclusion/Implications: The way to improve the quality of child care is to improve the quality of teachers. Among the teacher's competencies, it is very important to increase teacher efficacy. Teacher efficacy plays a very important role in the quality of childcare and the healthy development of toddlers and children. In order to increase teacher efficacy, policy support for the job environment and training support to increase teacher efficacy are considered necessary.
In this paper, we studied into a qualitative research to see mathematical understanding of preschool and kindergarten's teachers such as feeling attitude, parents' concern, difficulty of math teaching in kindergarten field, teacher's role, type of feed back, beauty of math, relationship of real life, and self philosophy of math education. We selected 10 teachers whose career was 7~10 years. Because this research way is qualitative, we can new aspect that teacher want to break their ignorance for math. Moreover, they would like to learn about math practicality, application, and beauty from art in professional training. Therefore we assert that fusion math lecture would support in the professional training for teacher, preschool or kindergarten's president training, and remuneration training.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between ego-resilience, job stress, and turnover intention of child care teachers. Methods: The collected data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation, and structural equation models using SPSS 23 and AMOS 22. The effects of a child care teacher's resilience on turnover intention as a result of job stress was indirectly evaluated by bootstrapping. Results: First, all sub-factors of a child care teacher's resilience were negatively correlated with job stress and turnover intention. Job stress was positively correlated with turnover intention. Second, job stress levels of child care teachers showed a full mediating role in the relationship between resilience and turnover intention. Conclusion/Implications: High job stress levels of child care teachers had a negative effect on the daycare field, with significant effects of job stress on resilience and turnover intention.
A teacher's talk does not make a simple delivery of information. It reflects the role of the teacher, since the language used by a teacher intervenes in a crucial way in the complex mechanisms that underlie teaching and learning of foreign languages. In this sense, the ways in which teachers give feedback have an impact on the process, not only of learning, but also of teaching. The important role of emotional factors in learning has resonated strongly in the intuition of many second and foreign language teachers. As a result, over the past three decades, research on foreign language acquisition has confirmed the hypothesis that language learning is enhanced by rapport between teacher and student. This study analyses the positive feedback given by native Spanish teachers in the context of university classes in Korea. The positive words from a language teacher are related to forming emotional factors such as motivation, attitude, interest, self-confidence, self-esteem, anxiety, and empathy, which directly influence in the acquisition of Spanish. 35 hours of oral practical classes taught by three native teachers of Colombian, Spanish and Mexican nationality were examined. According to the result, almost all the correct answers from students were corresponded with some type of positive feedback. The most frequent strategies are making a compliment, an approval, a repetition, and laughter or non-verbal cues. It is interesting to observe that teachers don't use only a single strategy to provide positive feedback, but instead combine multiple ways to enrich the positiveness of the feedback.
This study aimed to investigate how teacher's attitude toward violence affect students who experienced bullying victim in their role in making peer-to-peer violence deepen, and how students who experienced the bullying victim react to show aggression, and the aggression is blocked by teacher's attitude toward violence, resulting in decrease of doing the bystander's negative behavior. By conducing this study, this study ultimately aimed to ensure that the teacher's attitude toward violence is very important in preventing peer bullying in the classroom. To achieve this aims, this study conducted a survey of 820 fourth, fifth and sixth graders in 40 classes at 10 elementary schools and limited only 365 of the respondents who reported experiencing peer bullying victim. This study utilized the structural equation modeling method to analyze the data. The results were as follows. First, it showed that the lower the bystander's negative behavior in victims who experienced peer bullying, and the lower the responsive aggression reacted from the peer bullying, when the teacher shows an unacceptable attitude toward violence. Teacher's attitude toward violence also appears to affect peer bystander's negative behavior by mediating peer bullying victim's reactive aggression, indicating that the teacher's attitude toward classroom violence may reduce the aggression of students from the experience of victimization, and consequently prevent the classroom from becoming more leprosy by reducing peer bullying.
Computer with various powerful functions has profound potential for mathematics instruction and learning. As computer technology progress, its applicability to mathematics education become more comprehensive. Not only its functional development but various psychological positions also changed the way computer technology utilized in mathematics education. In behaviorist's perspective, computer viewed as a teaching machine and constructivist viewed computer as microworld where students could explore various mathematical contents. Both theoretical positions emphasized individual aspect of learning because behaviorist tried to individualize learning using computer and constructivist focused on the process of individual construction. But learning is not only a individual event but also a social event. Therefore we must take social aspect into account. This is especially important when it comes to computer based learning. So far, mathematics loaming with computer weighed individual aspect of loaming. Even in microworld environment, learning should be mediated by teacher and collaborative learning activities. In this aspect, the roles of teacher and peers are very important and socio-cultural perspective sheds light on the computer based learning. In socio-cultural perspective, the idea of scaffold is very important in learning and students gradually internalize the social dimension and scaffolding is gradually faded. And in the zone of proximal development, teacher and more competent peers guide students to formulate their own understanding. In sum, we must take following points into account. First of all, computer should not be viewed as a medium for individualized teaming. That is, interaction with computer should be catalyst for collaborative activities with peers. So, exploration in computer environment has to be followed by small group activities including small group discussion. Secondly, regardless of the role that computer would play, teacher should play a crucial role in computer based learning. This does not mean teacher should direct every steps in learning process. Teacher's intervention should help student construct actively. Thirdly, it is needed to conceptualize computer in learning situation as medium. This would affect learning situation and result in the change of pre-service and in-service teacher training. Computer to be used effectively in mathematics classroom, researches on assessment of computer based learning are needed.

The teacher plays important role at students' achievement. This study analyses science class by pre-service science teacher. An survey tool for analysis of science class was composed of the lesson, student behavior, teacher behavior and questioning techniques. Pre-service science teacher analyzed the science class of 100 science teacher. The results of this study showed that pre-service science teacher analysis that current science class did not focused on inquiry-oriented. The score of science class did not statistically significantly difference by science teacher's characteristics as gender and age. Also, they analyses that science teacher use concept-oriented and teacher-oriented method.
There have been a number of lesson analysis studies, yet not many studies address the issue of the perspective of students who play a key role in the lesson along with the teacher. The purpose of this study is to investigate how the teacher and the students interpret the mathematics lesson they experienced, and to find out the potential discrepancy between the teacher and the students in their perceptions of mathematics lesson. To pursue this purpose, 10 consecutive lessons were videotaped in the 8th grade mathematics classroom, and the video-stimulated post-lesson interviews were also conducted with the teacher and the students. Based on the lesson videos and the interview data, six discrepancies between the teacher and the students in their perceptions of mathematics lesson were dentified: the discrepancy between the teacher's intention and students' interest in the lesson; different interpretation and response to the teacher's mistake; formal abidance; topaze effect; different recognition of the students' preference among the topics; teacher's insufficient response to students' needs. These six discrepancies were further categorized and some implications were drawn.
