  • The treatment setup of patients during irradiation is an important aspect in relation to the success of radiotherapy. Imaging with the treatment beam is a widely used method or verification of the radiation field position relative to the target area, prior to or during irradiation. In this paper, Real time digital radiography system was implemented or verification of local error between simulation plan and radiation therapy machine. Portal image can be acquired by CCD camera, image board and pentium PC after therapy Radiation was converted into light by a metal/fluorescent Screen. The resulting image quality is comparable to film, so the imaging system represents a promising alternative to film as a method of verifying patient positioning in radiotherapy. Edge detection and field size measurement were also implemented and detected automatically for verification of treatment position. Field edge was added to the original image or checking the anatomical treatment verification by therapy technicians. By means of therapy efficiency improvement and decrease of Radiation side effects with these techniques, Exact Radiation treatments are expected.

  • A short laser pulse irradiates a sample to create the highly energetic plasma that emits light of a specific wavelength peak according to the material. By identifying different peaks for the analyzed samples, its chemical composition can be rapidly determined. The LIBS (Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy) has great advantages as an elemental analyzer on board a space rover, namely real-time rapid analysis and stand-off detection. The LIBS signal intensity is remarkably increased by using double-pulse LIBS system for component analysis of lunar environments where the surrounding pressure is low. Also the angle of target is adjusted for replicating arbitrary shapes of the specimen.

  • As an increase of chip complexity and level of chip integration, chip input/output (I/O) pad pitches are also drastically reduced. With arrival of high complexity SoC (System on Chip) and SiP (System in Package) products, conventional horizontal type probe card showed its limitation on probing density for wafer level test. To enhance probing density, we proposed new vertical type probe card that has the $70{\mu}m$ probe needle with tungsten wire in $80{\mu}m$ micro-drilled hole in ceramic board. To minimize alignment error, micro-drilling conditions are optimized and epoxy-hardening conditions are also optimized to minimize planarity changes. To apply wafer level test for target devices (T5365 256M SDRAM), designed probe card was characterized by probe needle tension for test, contact resistance measurement, leakage current measurement and the planarity test. Compare to conventional probe card with minimum pitch of $50{\sim}125{\mu}m\;and\;2\;{\Omega}$ of average contact resistance, designed probe card showed only $22{\mu}$ of minimum pitch and $1.5{\Omega}$ of average contact resistance. And also, with the nature of vertical probing style, it showed comparably small contact scratch and it can be applied to bumping type chip test.

  • In this study, thin film gas sensor based on tin oxide was fabricated to examine its characteristics. Target gas is acetonitrile ($CH_3$CN) which is a blood simulant for the chemical warfare agent. Sensing materials are SnO$_2$ SnO$_2$/Pt, and Sn/Pt with thickness from 1000 to 3000 $\AA$. The sensor consists of a sensing electrode with inter-digit (IDT) type in front side and a heater in rear side. Resistance changes of sensing materials are monitored on real time basis using a data acquisition board with a 12-bit analog to digital converter. Sensitivities are measured at different operating temperatures also with different gas concentrations and film thickness. The high sensitivity is obtained for Sn (3000 $\AA$)/Pt (30 $\AA$) at 30$0^{\circ}C$ for 3 ppm. Response and recovery times were about 40 and 160 s, respectively. Repetition measurements showed very good results with $\pm$3% in full scale range.

  • Nowadays, embedded software development using the MATLAB/Simulink system is gradually emerging. Studies generating the parts of embedded S/W in a Rapid Prototype are presented. In this paper, a method to generate the entire embedded S/W of enhanced AC motor control is proposed. High performance motor control could not be achieved with the basic Simulink library and RAppID Toolbox library as it does not have PWM based Interrupt, an ASAC (Analog Sensing for AC Motors) function and other special functions of the Freescale MPC555x. Consequently, the required libraries for enhanced AC motor control are created by Legacy code tool, TLC (Target Language Compiler) and S-Function (System-Function) of MATLAB/ Simulink and utilized in the Rapid Prototype. Motor control performance and execution time are compared automatically to the generated-code S/W with the hand coded S/W. The IPMSM (Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) and MPC5553 board that were designed as the AC motor controller for hybrid electrical vehicle are used for the test. The performances meet the requirements and satisfactory results are acquired.

  • Recent structural approach of the House of Commons has been an increase in demand for dry wall light due to a change in load bearing composite structure of a flat plate type structure under the name of long-life housing, attach the attachment to the wall as the needs of the residents of reserved space increases things that are on the rise. However, depending on the strength of collapse accidents is shown wall and recent wall deposits are required, a load resistance evaluation method of the deposit of the need is the situation. Therefore, in this study, for the evaluation of the evaluation of dry lightweight wall as widely used gypsum board and ALC lightweight wall of two types of laboratory the wall through the previous studies to be installed in direct co-housing to the target and field experiments I want to evaluate the different points.

  • We present an experimental implementation of the inexpensive microwave security sensor that can detect both static and slowly moving objects in cluttered environment. The prototype consists of a frequency-modulated continuous wave radar sensor, control board or computer and software. The prototype was tested in a cluttered indoor environment. In case of intrusion or change of environment the sensor will give an alarm, determine the location of new object, change in its location and can detect a slowly moving target. To make a low-cost unit we use commercially available automotive radar and own signal processing techniques for object detection and tracking. The intruder detection is based on a comparison between current 'image' in memory and 'no-intrusion' reference image. The main challenge is to develop a reliable technique for detection of a relatively low-magnitude object signals hidden in multipath clutter echo signals. Various experimental measurements and computations have shown the feasibility and performance of the system.

  • In this study, the Total Volatile Organic Compounds (TVOC) emitted from wood-based panels were compared by two analytical methods using the GC/FID and the GC/MS. Japanese Larch, Yellow Poplar, Particle Board (PB) and Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) were selected as target materials. Major compounds emitted from the panels were Toluene, ${\alpha}$-pinene, ${\beta}$-pinene and limonene. In case of TVOC using GC/FID method, MDF E2 (1,497 ${\mu}g/m^3$) revealed the highest concentration among all wood-based panels, while Japanese Larch (1,772 ${\mu}g/m^3$) showed the highest value with respect to GC/MS method. Furthermore, it was found that the amount of VOC emitted from panels was different depending upon analytical methods. This significant difference was attributed to analytical sensitivities of GC/FID and GC/MS for various VOC. Besides, it was found that the composition ratios of main VOC compounds were not significantly different.
