조위변화에 따른 방조제 끝막이 사석단면의 침투거동 (Seepage Behavior of Sea Dyke Final Closure with Tidal Variation)

  • Sea dyke construction is simply defined that the cutting procedure of sea water flow. Sea dyke construction is more difficult than in-land construction because it’s placed on deep seabed and exposed sea wave attack. Especially, the final closure of sea dyke is most dangerous due to the fast velocity of tidal flow. The final closure section is consisted with vast rubble and heavy stone gabion, therefore the discharge velocity at land side of final close section is irregularly and sometime occur the fast discharge velocity. In this study, the seepage model test performed to evaluate seepage behavior with tidal variation of final closure and continuous sea dyke section such as discharge velocity, hydraulic gradient, and phreatic line. Based on the seepage model test results, the maximum discharge velocity of final closure section is 1.7m/sec. Also the local discharge velocity increment and vortex is occurred.

  • Geotextiles consist of three major types of geosynthetic material (woven, non-woven and composite) and the functions of geotextiles are separation, reinforcement, filtration, drainage and as a moisture barrier. Although the many research scholar and engineer developed and established the design criteria and construction methodology, sustainable research still needed for optimum design methodology to the complicate field conditions. In this study, in-situ rainfall test performed to develop suitable filter system for sea dyke upper slope filter layer. In-situ rainfall test conducted for seven different filter system and measured the infiltration flux and pore pressure at various filter layer. Based on the test results, the double layered geotextile filter and sand transition system is most suitable for sea dyke upper filter layer because which system is effective for drainage of infiltration flow and minimize the deformation of sea dyke cover stone.

  • Geotextiles form one of the two largest groups of geosynthetics and it is consisted two major types of synthetic material (Woven, Non-woven). The functions of geotextiles are separation, reinforcement, filtration, drainage and as a moisture barrier. Within these functions, however, there are a large number of applications or use areas. Although the many research scholar and engineer developed and established the design criteria and construction methodology of geosynthetics filter layer, because the lack of suitable design terminology and uncertainty of long term durability, sustainable research still needed for optimum design methodology to the complicate field conditions. Especially, more intensive research needed about under the cyclic flow condition and fine silty sand base material. In this paper, the filter model test performed under cyclic flow with various boundary conditions (period and frequency of cyclic flow, types of geosynthetic filter material, surcharge etc.).

Color variation improvement by introducing double emission layers in WPLEDs

  • We have fabricated white polymeric light-emitting devices (WPLEDs) from polyfluorene-based (PFO) blue and MEH-PPV polymer blending systems. A device structure of ITO / PEDOT:PSS / Blending polymer / Blue polymer / LiF / Al was employed. This structure of double emission layers results in the significant improvement of white color shift phenomenon. A current efficiency of 4.67 cd/A ($3,900cd/m^2$, 6.4V) and a brightness value of $17,600cd/m^2$ at 9.4 V with (0.34, 0.35) CIE coordinates at 5V and (0.29, 0.29) at 9V were obtained.

  • Four-probe device of single ZnO nanowire was fabricated by electron beam lithography. Electrical characterizations in a two-probe and a four-probe configuration with a back-gate were carried out to clarify the relative contribution of the contact and the intrinsic part in a ZnO nanowire. I-V characteristic in four-probe measurement showed an ohmic behavior with a high conductivity, 100 S/cm, which was better than those of two-probe measurement by 10 times. At the same values of the current between two-probe and four-probe, the net voltage applied inside the nanowire were extracted with calculated voltages at the contact. Four-probe current-gate voltage characteristics showed bigger tendencies than those of two-probe measurement at low temperatures, indicating the reduced gate dependence in two-Probe measurements by the existence of the contact resistance.

  • 본 논문에서는 동적으로 변화하는 제어 환경에 잘 대처하여 제어를 수행할 수 있는 면역 귀환 신경망 제어 시스템을 소개한다. 시스템 내외부의 제어 환경 변화를 병원체라 규정하고 이러한 변화들에 대처할 수 있는 제어 입력을 병원체에 대한 항체로 규정하여 제어를 수행한다. 항체는 이전의 제어 정보들을 이용하여 생성되며, 만일 시스템 안에 항체가 생성되지 않은 병원체가 침투할 경우 면역 시스템은 유전자 조작으로 새로운 항체를 생성한다. 이같은 면역제어 시스템을 로봇 매니퓰레이터에 적용하여 효율성을 입증한다.

Design of Alignment Mark Stamper Module for LED Post-Processing

  • Light emitting devices (LEDs) are widely used in the liquid crystal display (LCD) industry, especially for LCD back light units. Therefore, much research has been performed to minimize manufacturing costs. However, the current process does not process LED chips from broken substrates even though the substrate is expensive sapphire wafer. This is because the broken substrates lose their alignment marks. After pre-processing, LED dies are glued onto blue tape to continue post-processing. If auxiliary alignment marks are stamped on the blue tape, post-processing can be performed using some of the LED dies from broken substrates. In this paper, a novel stamper module that can stamp the alignment mark on the blue tape is proposed, designed, and fabricated. In testing, the stamper was reliable even after a few hundred stamps. The module can position the stamp and apply the pattern effectively. By using this module, the LED industry can reduce manufacturing costs.

안드로이드 C2DM을 이용한 T-DMB 자동인지 기능 구현 (An implementation of wake-up method for T-DMB by android C2DM)

  • 재난방송의 효과를 높이기 위해서는 수신기에 자동인지(wake-up) 기능이 반드시 포함되어야 한다. 자동인지란 단말이 항상 재난여부를 확인하고 재난이 확인되면 단말이 활성화되어 즉시 사용자에게 재난정보를 알리는 기능이다. 법에 지정된 재난방송 매체 중 하나인 지상파 DMB는 표준에서 이 기능을 기술적으로 구현할 수 있도록 되어 있으나 배터리 효율 등의 문제로 실제 자동인지 기능을 가진 단말은 출시되지 않고 있다. 본 논문에서는 자동인지 문제를 해결하기 위한 방안으로 T-DMB 수신 기능을 가진 안드로이드 스마트폰 환경에서 구글 C2DM을 이용하였다. 이 방법을 이용하여 재난시 단말을 깨우고(wake-up), 사용자의 선택에 따라 T-DMB를 통해 추가적인 멀티미디어 재난정보를 확인할 수 있다.

소셜미디어를 이용한 지진정보전달 시스템 개발 (A Development Of A System For Earthquake Warning Using Social Media)

  • 동일본대지진은 재난정보전달체계에 여러 가지 시사점을 제공하였다. 특히 재난정보전달에 소셜미디어가 유용할 수 있다는 사례가 나타났다. 본 논문에서는 소셜미디어 중 한 유형인 마이크로블로그를 통해서 지진정보를 전달하는 시스템을 개발하였다. 다양한 소셜미디어의 유형을 분석하면 트위터, 미투데이와 같은 마이크로블로그가 재난정보전달에 가장 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 이를 바탕으로 기상청의 지진통보시스템과 연계하여 지진정보를 트위터와 미투데이에 게시하는 프로그램을 구현 및 실험하였다. 이 시스템으로 지진정보를 쉽게 확인할 수 있고, 지진에 대한 국민들의 반응을 확인할 수 있다. 향후 다른 유형의 재난이나 다른 유형의 소셜미디어를 이용한 재난정보전달 시스템 개발에 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

도로터널 화재시 대배기구 환기방식에서의 배연 연구 (A Study on the Effective Fire and Smoke Control in Road-Tunnel with Semi-Transverse Ventilation)

  • In this study it is intended to review the moving characteristics of smoke by performing visualization for the calculation of the optimal smoke exhaust air volume in case a fire occurs in tunnels where transverse ventilation is applied, and to obtain basic data necessary for the design of smoke exhaust systems by deriving optimal smoke exhaust operational conditions under various conditions. As a result of this study, when the critical velocity in the tunnel is 1.75 m/s and 2.5 m/s, the optimal smoke exhaust air volume has to be more than $173\;m^3/s$, $236\;m^3/s$ for the distance of the smoke moving which can limit the distance to 250m. In addition, in case of uniform exhaust the generated smoke is effectively taken away if the two exhaust holes near the fire region are opened at the same time.
