Tae-yeul is the baby's disorder inheritted by its mother during fregnancy. This is due to its mother's overeating hot, fatty food and taking harmful medicine. So internal physical fever is accumulated in mother's body, and it heats up the placenta and the umbilical cord. Generally, this disorder means the skin disease that is occurred from $2{\sim}5$ months to 1 year after birth. It is specialized by the dirty oozing, a severe itching and the rash at its head and face. It is similar in its symptoms such as atopic dermatitis in western medicine. Recently, this disease has the increasing tendency of prevalence rate because of the bad atmosphere and the invironmental pollution. The results were summerised as follows; 1, 2, 3, 4 1. The causes of Tae-yeul are summarized by fragnat woman's contacting a cool air, overating a hot and toxic food and taking emotional shock. 2. The symptoms of Tae-yeul are the edema on upper eyelids, stifling convulsions, flush, the fever of one side body, the asthma of sputum increase, the yawing of the tired mind, the bowl complaint, the red urine and urination disturbance. 3. In the treatment method of Tae-yeul, its mother feed her milk after taking a madicine. So one must expect to be treated slowly. If one tries to treat it with a cool madicine quickly, it can cause vomitting or a serious disorder. 4. In the prescription of Tae-yeul, they used a Moktongsan, a Chiwhnagtang, an Yangyoubang, a Tojuksan, a Whangyunsan, a Juryungtang and a Kamdutang, etc.. For the method of cleaning face or bathing, they used Sasungsan, Whanbaekpijuntang. 5. Tae-yeul including Naesun, Taelyumchang, yousun, etc. is similar to the atopic dermatitis of western medicine in its symptoms.

This study has been carried out to investigate the cause and symptom of Hae su (咳嗽) cause by a cold referring to 25 literature. 1. Cause : wind (風), cold (寒), heat (署), moisture (濕), dryness (燥), fire (火). It appears to cause double and above. 2. Symptoms : PunghanHaeSu (風寒咳嗽) ; HaeSu (咳嗽), Balyul (發熱), DamHueSaegBaeg (痰稀色白), Hu Yang Sung Tag (喉痒聲濁), BiSaegYuChe (鼻塞流涕), OhPungHan (要風寒), DooShinTong (頭身痛), TaeBaqBaeg (笞薄白), Maeg Bu Gin (脈浮緊). PungYeulHaeSu (風熱咳嗽) ; HaeSu (咳嗽), DamJo (痰稠), SaegHwang (色黃), KaegChulBulSang (喀出不痰), KuKallnTong (口瀉咽痛), BalYeul (發熱), OhPungYuHan (要風有肝), HogYuDuTong (或有頭痛), TaeBagHwang (笞薄黃), Maegbusag (脈浮數). JoYeulHaeSu (燥熱咳嗽) ; KunHaeMuDarn (乾咳無痰), HogDamJungDaeHyulSa (或痰中帶血絲), HaelnHungTong (咳引胸痛), BiJolnKun (鼻燥咽乾), pliogyuOhPungBalYeul (或要風發熱), TaeBagHqangIKun (笞薄黃而乾), MaegSeSag (脈細數). 3. Treatment ; PungHanHaeSu ; SoPungSanHan (疏風散寒), Sun PaeJiHae (宣肺止咳), PungYeulHaeSu ; SoPungchungYeul (疏風淸熱), SunPaeJiHae (宣肺止咳), JoYeulHaeSu; CheongPoeYunJo (淸肺潤燥), SaengJinJiHae (生津止咳). Basing on the literature research, I found that Hae Su (咳嗽) caused by a cold belong to category of YugEum(六淫).

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to compare atopic dermatitis and food allergy of Korean Medicine with those of western medicine. Methods : We examined the relationship between atopic dermatitis and food allergy mainly in digestive system abnormalities through literature review. Results : Food allergy is classified into categories such as diarrhea, abdominal pain and cough caused by retention of undigested food(食積) and pimples(癮疹) in Korean medicine. The side effects caused by specific immune reactions occur repeatedly due to exposure to specific food allergen or retention of undigested food. Atopic dermatitis and food allergy are often coexisting and deeply related. Digestive system abnormalities can result not only in indigestion but also in immune function abnormalities. Food allergies are known to cause atopic dermatitis and the influx of food antigens exacerbates atopic dermatitis. This corresponds to atopic dermatitis due to abnormal digestive system(脾胃) accompanied by fever(熱), wind(風), and weakness(虛) with focusing on dampness(濕). A typical example of the relationship between atopic dermatitis and food allergy in Korean medicine is Tae-yeul (胎熱). Tae-yeul refers to atopic dermatitis caused by a sensitization to reaction to the dietary antigens of the mother through the placenta during the fetal life with a unusual genetic disposition. Conclusions : We compared korean medicine with western medicine for atopic dermatitis and food allergy. Atopic dermatitis caused by abnormal immune function due to ingestion of food antigen corresponds to dermatitis due to retention of undigested food(食積), digestive system(脾胃臟) problems in korean medicine.
