  • In this paper, forced vibration differential equations of motion of Euler-Bernoulli beams with different boundary conditions and dynamic loads are solved using differential transform method (DTM), analytical solutions. Then, the modal deflections of these beams are obtained. The calculated modal deflections using DTM are represented in tables and depicted in graphs and compared with the results of the analytical solutions where a very good agreement is observed.

  • In this work we study properties of five identities of Bol-Moufang type (1). We establish a necessary and sufficient condition for a loop to be an RC-loop. A corollary to this is the condition for a Bol loop to be an RC-loop. Some proerties of a generalization of RC-loops are discussed. We also state the relationship between the supernucleus M(G) of a loop G and the nucleii of loops which do not have the inverse property. Finally, we give two tables of non-associative RC-loops of order 16, which are not Bol loops.

  • We modify the montgomery modeular multikplication to extract the common parts in common-multiplicand multi-plications. Since the modified method computes the common parts in two modular multiplications once rather than twice, it can speed up the exponentiations and reduce the amount of storage tables in m-ary or windowexponentiation. It can be also applied to an exponentiation mehod by folding the exponent in half. This method is well-suited to the memory limited environments such as IC card due to its speed and requirement of small memory.

  • The problem of estimating the reliability using the Bayesian approach and the prior information about tile reliability of a lognormal distribution is considered. Some Bayes estimators are proposed and studied under the squared error loss and tile Harris loss. Also Monte Carlo simulations are carried out to examine the performances of the proposed estimators and results are provided in the tables.

  • It is a matter of course that each should be painted with harmonious color. moreover, different rooms in a house, even those which are seperated, must be under harmonizing conditions to each other, for moving dwellers have tacit feeling of successive contrasts. Major function of color in a dwelling is a making good environment of each room and the whole house according to its purpose. Recommendable color for various rooms are shown by the tables in this article.

  • Numerical Analysis for exchanging seawater experiment is carried out in Do-Jang fish port. The change of tidal velocity and water level is derived by the two-dimensional nonlinear shallow-water numerical model. To calculate exchange rate of seawater with the change of tidal velocity and water level, a two-dimensional numerical model is employed which governing equations are Fokker-Plank equations. The calculated exchange rates of each time are described in tables and figures.

  • The problem of comparing k normal populations with a control (or a standard) in terms of the absolute values of their means is considered. Under the framework of indifference-zone formulation a single-state and a two-stage procedures for selecting the best are proposed, according to their commom vairances known or unknown respectively. The procedures guarantee that the probability of correct selection is not less than some preassigned lower limit. Selected tables necessary to implement the procedures are provided.

  • Most of national-wide surveys are summarized by some statistical tables and graphs. In spite of high costs to get statistical results from surveys, we often find some statistical problems in the statistical reports. In this paper, we point out some statistical problems for the Korean Anthropometric Survey report. Also, we suggest some alternatives which may avoid the illustrated problems.

  • Relationship between the partial likelihood ratio statistics for logisitic models and the partial goodness-of-fit statistics for corresponding log-linear models is discussed. This paper shows how definitions of suppression in logistic model can be adapted for log-linear model and how they are related to confounding in terms of collapsibility for categorical data. Several $2{times}2{times}2$ contingency tables are illustrated.

  • This paper deals with the free vibrations of horizontally curved beams supported by non-homogeneous elastic foundation. Taking into account the effects of rotatory inertia and shear deformation, differential equations governing the free vibrations of such beams are derived, in which the linear elastic foundation is considered as the non-homogeneous foundation. Differential equations are solved numerically to calculate natural frequencies. In numerical examples, the parabolic curved member is considered. The parametric studies are conducted and the lowest four frequency parameters are reported in tables and figures as the non-dimensional forms.
