  • The development of communication method for a variety of intelligent automobiles are delivering comfortable and safe information. However the development of such communication method must also think about security. Even the update of navigation to be used for intelligent automobiles uses the wireless updating methods but the updating methods currently being used has no reliable security measures. The navigation communications used in the intelligent automobiles are being provided with TTI(Traffic and Travel Information) service using a variety of methods by the countries. In the case of Korea, most are based on T-DMB using the TPEG method for transmitting the information. By identifying the characteristics on the navigation wireless update, a security solution is proposed for delivering the reliable update information after creating the attack scenario.

Valuing the DMB Data Broadcasting Services: An Application of Double-Bounded Dichotomous Choice Contingent Valuation Method (이중경계 양분선택형 CVM을 이용한 DMB 데이터방송의 가치평가)

  • DMB data broadcasting has recently come into the spotlight as a platform for a new business opportunity and an application of various contents. This paper estimates the willingness to pay for the DMB data broadcasting services and explains the demand characteristics for TPEG, BIFS and BWS services, using the Double-bounded dichotomous choice Contingent Valuation Method. Consumers are willing to pay 2,039 Korean won for TPEG service and 1,612 Korean won for BIFS and BWS services per month, which corresponds to the market size 87.6 billion Korean won for TPEG and 195.2 billion Korean won for BWS and BIFS a year respectively. It is also found that the more consumers show usage intentions, have experiences in the similar services, and know of the DMB data broadcasting services, the more they are likely to pay for the DMB data broadcasting services.

  • 텔레매틱스는 운전자에게 도로나 교통정보를 자동차 네비게이션 시스템이나 통신 시스템을 통해서 제공해주는 서비스이다. 이러한 서비스는 유비쿼터스와 융합이라는 시대적 패러다임으로 인해 더욱 부각되고 있다. 이 논문에서는 움직이는 차량 또는 이동 가능한 단말에서 멀티미디어 서비스를 가능하게 하는 DMB 기술과 융합된 텔레매틱스 서비스를 설계하고 그 구현 기법을 소개한다. DMB 용 멀티미디어 컨텐츠에 실시간 교통정보를 제공하는 TPEG 컨텐츠를 융합하기 위해서 MPEG-4 시스템에서 TPEG 객체를 인식하도록 서버 및 단말 단을 설계하고 실험 결과를 통해서 DMB 시스템을 기반으로 한 텔레매틱스 서비스가 가능함을 보인다.

  • This paper suggests a user based OST(Open Street Traffic) system that solves TPEG's one-way communication problem, UTIS's limited usage and DSRC's small traffic bandwidth. In current commercial TPEG service, only some service providers collect traffic information. Thus, it can't cover traffic status in local lanes And UTIS, which local governments and police supports, requires additional equipments. Currently, only taxi and official vehicles use this system. Therefore, new traffic service by mobile device and user's participation can provide very detail traffic information coupling with previous traffic systems. But in this new system, real-time high volume data can be a problem. So, in this paper, new data storage manager design(TDSM :Traffic Data Storage Manager) is suggested and its performance is measured against commercial DBMS.

  • The optimal path on real road network has been changed by traffic flow of roads frequently. Therefore a path finding system to find the optimal path on real network should consider traffic flow of roads that is changed on real time. The most of existing path finding methods do not consider traffic flow of roads and do not also perform efficiently if they use traffic information. In this paper, we propose an abstraction method of real road network based on the Terminal Based Navigation System (TBNS) with technique such as TPEG. TBNS can be able to provides quality of path better than before as using traffic information that is transferred by TPEG. The proposed method is to abstract real network as simple graph in order to use traffic information. It is composed boundary nodes based on real nodes, all boundary nodes that have the same of connection are merged together. The result of path finding on an abstract graph diminishes the search space.

  • 최근 ATSC, DVB, DMB 및 인터넷 등에서 경제적으로 고속 정보전송이 가능해 짐에 따라 교통정보 서비스 프로토콜인 TPEG이 XML형태로 개발되어 시험 서비스 되고 있다. 기존의 RTM, PTI 응용프로토콜에 대한 XML 버전을 참고하여, 현재 시험 서비스 중인 News, POI 응용 프로토콜에 대한 XML 버전을 제안한다. 교통정보제공자로부터 공급된 원 뉴스정보 및 위치기반 정보를 XML 파일로 인코딩하여 송신하고, 수신측에서 xsl 파일을 제작하여 수신된 XML 파일을 디코딩한 후, 교통정보를 출력하여 보임으로서 그 기능을 검증한다. 테이블 및 속성들에 대한 언어독립적인 ENTITY 와 DTD를 설계하여, 원 정보로부터 제작된 XML 파일에 대한 적합성을 검증할 수 있도록 하였고, 수신된 XML파일을 단말형태에 적합하게 표현하기 위해 xsl 파일을 제작하여 수신된 파일의 표현성 및 확장성이 용이하도록 설계하였다.

  • In this paper, we propose a new assisted global positioning system (A-GPS) using terrestrial digital multimedia broadcasting (T-DMB) data services. Because of the weak signal strength from GPS satellite and the signal blockage, it is difficult for the telematics terminal to determine the position in urban area. Proposed A-GPS system calculates pseudo range (PR) from timing information of GPS satellites and obtains the satellite information such as ephemeris from T-DMB station to determine the current position. Compared to conventional GPS system, the proposed system has better performance in terms of the fast time to first fix (TTFF), low horizontal dilution of precision (HDOP). Experimental results show that the proposed system is a feasible and robust solution.

  • Traffic accident number is decreasing tendency every year. But, large size accident or hit-and-run case increases continuously. As well as, traffic accident causes real form of accident ambit thats why, social expense rises. For that reason we are going to present our plan that can prevent traffic accident when traffic accident occurs, we presented our idea that can arbitrate traffic accident quickly. Driver can know more correctly traffic circumstance through hearing and sight by using DMB. Finally, we suggested plan that supply traffic information that is more effective by TPEG.
