  • Exhaust manifolds suffer from serious temperature variation during the thermal fatigue test. The spatial distribution of temperature changes at each moment. Because transient flow can not be simulated during the long period of temperature change, the simulation can not be performed by conjugate heat transfer analysis. In this study, a new procedure for transient thermal analysis is established by decoupling fluid-solid analysis. The procedure consists of (1) transient CFD calculation (2 cycles), (2) mapping heat transfer coefficient to the inner surface of solid mesh as a boundary condition of heat conduction analysis and (3) transient heat conduction analysis in the long period (30 min). The realistic temperature change can be predicted by this procedure.

  • In this research, two stochastic models are considered to detect and estimate the effect of air temperature change due to Industrialization In Ulsan area. Using the monthly mean minimum air temperature anomalies, the data are divided Into pre-Industrialization part and Industrialization one for analysis. The ARM(autoregressive moving-average) model and intervention model have been applied to the data for the analysis. The results show that the variability of minimum temperature anomalies are very significant In 1989, and also significant In 1971 when the Industrialization have started. Therefore, It Is stochastically possible to estimate the time when the affection of Increase of the temperature concerning Industrialization to climate change In Usm area has happened.

  • In this paper, we analyzed the impact of temperature and precipitation on agricultural product prices and predicted the prices of major agricultural products using TensorFlow. As a result of the analysis, the rise in temperature and precipitation had a significant effect on the rise in prices of cabbage, radish, green onion, lettuce, and onion. In particular, prices rose sharply when temperature and precipitation increased simultaneously. The prediction model was useful in predicting agricultural product price changes due to climate change. Through this, agricultural producers and consumers can prepare for climate change and prepare response strategies to price fluctuations. The paper can contribute to understanding the impact of climate change on agricultural product prices and exploring ways to increase the stability and sustainability of agricultural product markets. In addition, it provides important data to increase agricultural sustainability and ensure economic stability in the era of climate change. The research results will also provide useful insights to policy makers and can contribute to establishing effective agricultural policies in response to climate change.

  • The land use has been changed artificially and caused the result of temperature increase of city compared with the outside of city or region of park and forest. The purpose of this research is to analyze the change of the urban surface temperature with land use zoning in Jinju using Landsat TM/$ETM^+$ imagery and to provide the correlation between NDVI(Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) and urban surface temperature change. The results presented that the spatial distribution of urban surface temperature was depending on the change of NDVI values on land use zoning. Considering to the average temperature by land use zoning, industrial area was the highest temperature but green area was the lowest temperature. Also as a result of comparing the correlation between surface temperature and NDVI, the green and residential area had higher correlation values than the commercial and industrial area. These results will be played a part as one of the major factors for implementing the sustainable urban planning considering the urban heat island effect problem.

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate temperature change occurred in enamel, dentin and pulp due to the heat from cavity prepration with laser. We made three models had different cavity depth: cavity depth of model A was 3.52mm, model B was 2.32mm, model C was 1.16mm. We irradiated cavity base with thermal capacity of $30J,100J,300J/cm^2s$ during few seconds and studied the change of temperature in tooth during 10 seconds, and estimated change of thermal capacity by different irradiated site and exposure time. At $300J/cm^2$ irradiation for 2 seconds, the temperature of irradiated surface was elevated fast according to irradiated thermal energy during 1 second. In proportion to continuous exposure time, temperature elevated slowly. The surface temperature was $1370^{\circ}C$. After discontinue of thermal irradiation, the heat of irradiated surface was diffused in dentin and pulp and the greatest temperature was made. The greatest temperature was disappeared within 10 seconds The greatest temperature of the inner part of model brought about very severe change by different depth. Temperature in pulp was raised by the greater irradiated energy density and exposure time.

  • Life quality in farming areas is declining these days on account of decrease in population with the outflow of young generations, advent of aging society, and also lack of social and physical infrastructure. To reverse this, the central and local governments have been devising policies in many ways; however, the vulnerable class in farming area suffering from financial difficulty is not supported with that properly. The results of applying insulation materials applicable to rural houses, EPS, e-board, and glass wool, actually to rural houses are summed as follows. EPS is the most inexpensive among the three installations in terms of material cost and expenses. The indoor and outdoor temperature difference increased from $0.9^{\circ}C$ to $2.5^{\circ}C$, and the temperature change reduced as $0.04^{\circ}C$. With e-board, the indoor and outdoor temperature difference increased from $3.3^{\circ}C$ to $7.5^{\circ}C$; however, the temperature change increased as $0.09^{\circ}C$. Unlike the other two methods, glass wool requires the additional installation of wooden frames. The material cost is highest, and the indoor and outdoor temperature difference increased from $1.1^{\circ}C$ to $8.0^{\circ}C$, and the temperature change reduced as $0.01^{\circ}C$. According to the results of measuring temperature, glass wool's temperature difference is measured to be the highest, but temperature change is found to be the most effective in EPS. Among the three insulation methods, EPS is the most economically advantageous as the material supply is easy and the cost is low. The material is easily processible, so ordinary town residents can install it easily, and it is effective at improving insulation performance, too. But this method cannot be applied when the house has walls that are not even. Also, as the insulator is thick, after the installation, the living space may be narrower as a result.

  • The study mainly aims to explore how deterioration of motor control center, namely MCC, and vibration put impact on temperature of bus bar as well as temperature change of bolt-nut joint. The motor control center consists of three internal parts (i.e. R, S, T) which are for motor operation of high capacity. Two dimensional mechanism for measuring temperature was designed and manufactured with infrared temperature sensor. Installing it in inner motor control center enabled researcher to monitor temperature of bus bar as well as amount of change of current regularly. Temperature change of bus bar according to load was primarily examined based on a bolted joint in the experiment. It was clearly verified that temperature change of bus bar was proportional to current consumption. Therefore, installing non-contact two dimensional mechanism for measuring temperature in motor control center would be expected to prevent temperature rise owing to overload current and power outage as well as fire accident which can be triggered by poor electrical contact.

  • This study aims to find out cooling characteristics of TMA(Tri-Methyl-Amine, $(CH_3)_3N$) 25wt%-water clathrate compound with ethanol($CH_3CH_2OH$) such as supercooling, phase change temperature and specific heat. For this purpose, ethanol is added as per weight concentration and cooling experiment is performed at $-6{\sim}-8^{\circ}C$, cooling heat source temperature, and it leads the following result. (1) Phase change temperature is decreased due to freezing point depression phenomenon. Especially, it is minimized as $3.8^{\circ}C$ according to cooling source temperature in case that 0.5wt% of ethanol is added. (2) If 0.5wt% of ethanol is added, average supercooling degree is $0.9^{\circ}C$ and minimum supercooling is 0.8, $0.7^{\circ}C$ according to cooling heat source temperature. The restraint effect of supercooling is shown. (3) Specific heat shows tendency to decrease if ethanol is added. It is $3.013{\sim}3.048\;kcal/kg^{\circ}C$ according to cooling heat source temperature if 0.5wt% of ethanol is added. Phase change temperature higher than that of water and inhibitory effect against supercooling can be confirmed through experimental study on cooling characteristics of TMA 25wt%-water clathrate compound by adding additive, ethanol. This can lead to shorten refrigerator operation time of low temperature latent heat storage system and improve COP of refrigerator and efficiency of overall system. Therefore energy can be saved and efficiency can be improved much more.

  • The stability and safety of operation of a reactor is determined mainly by the sign and magnitude of its reactivity responses to temperature changes. Reactors are subject to temperature fluctuations due to the changes in reactor power and ambient temperature. These temperature fluctuations cause reactivity disturbances through changes in the nuclear and physical properties of the core. Because of these important phenomena by the temperature effects, a large portion of study and testing on a reactor design has been conducted. In this experiment the overall temperature coefficient of the TRIGA MARK-II reactor is measured. The basic procedure is to change the tgemperature of the water moderator, and from the movements of a newly recalibrated control rod(this is necessary due to the effects of fuel burn-up and control rod depression) required to mintain criticality, the reactivity worth of the temperature change is determined. From this measurement, the overall temperature coefficient seems to be smoothly varying, almost a linear function of temperature, and a value of approximately -0.267${\c}$/$^{\circ}C$ can be obtained for an average temperature range from $17.6^{\circ}C$ to $32.5^{\circ}C$.

  • The temperature change due to focused ultrasound in dissipative acoustic medium is very important because it provides us much information. To measure the temperature change inside of the dissipative acoustic medium non-invasively, we adopt a temperature sensitive film which has thermochromic particles with critical temperature of $30^{\circ}C$. As a dissipative acoustic medium, agar layer is chosen in the study. The temperature change due to the ultrasound was measured depending on the concentration of the sugar in the agar layer. The color change on the film due to the ultrasound was investigated when the concentration of sugar was from 25% to 40%. As the result, there were rapid increases of discolored area on the film within 2~5 second after the ultrasound driving and the increasing rates decreased after the period. To compare the simulation results were also shown. However in the simulated result, the discolored areas linearly increased from start to 10 seconds. The reason of the differences between the experimental results and simulated ones is that the change of thermal conductivity and heat capacity of the medium were not considered in the simulation program.
