  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the organizational citizenship behaviors(OCB) of nurses through identifying the relationship between the personal characteristics, occupational characteristics and OCB in nursing organization. Method: The subjects of this study were 223 clinical nurses. The structured questionnaires were used to collect the data. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe' test, Pearson correlation and stepwise multiple regression analysis by SPSS version 10. Results: The mean of OCB was $5.21{\pm}.59$. The OCB had statistically significant differences according to age(F=1.706, p=.007), tenure duration (F=3.450, p=.009), choice of nursing department(t=1.651, p=.000), marriage(t=2.341, p=.020) and religion(F=2.578, p=.038). The OCB was positively correlated with high-level need(r=.303, p=.000), neuroticism(r=.155, p=.020), task interdependence(r=.433, p=.000), age(r=.172, p=.010) and tenure duration(r=.190, p=.004); negatively with cynicism (r=-.310, p=.000). The task interdependence(18.7%), cynicism(7.7%) and tenure duration(1.9%) explained 28.3% of the variance for OCB in nursing organization. Conclusion: It is necessary to enhance the task interdependence, increase tenure and understand the characteristics of nurses to increase the OCB in clinical nurses. Nurse manager should be understand the positive influence of OCB on the task outputs in the hospital.

  • Let R be an associative ring with identity, M a t.u.p. monoid with only one unit and ${\omega}:M{\rightarrow}End(R)$ a monoid homomorphism. Let R be a reversible, M-compatible ring and ${\alpha}=a_1g_1+{\cdots}+a_ng_n$ a non-zero element in skew monoid ring $R{\ast}M$. It is proved that if there exists a non-zero element ${\beta}=b_1h_1+{\cdots}+b_mh_m$ in $R{\ast}M$ with ${\alpha}{\beta}=c$ is a constant, then there exist $1{\leq}i_0{\leq}n$, $1{\leq}j_0{\leq}m$ such that $g_{i_0}=e=h_{j_0}$ and $a_{i_0}b_{j_0}=c$ and there exist elements a, $0{\neq}r$ in R with ${\alpha}r=ca$. As a consequence, it is proved that ${\alpha}{\in}R*M$ is unit if and only if there exists $1{\leq}i_0{\leq}n$ such that $g_{i_0}=e$, $a_{i_0}$ is unit and aj is nilpotent for each $j{\neq}i_0$, where R is a reversible or right duo ring. Furthermore, we determine the relation between clean and nil clean elements of R and those elements in skew monoid ring $R{\ast}M$, where R is a reversible or right duo ring.

  • In this paper, by using fixed point theorems in cones, the existence of positive solutions is considered for nonlinear m-point boundary value problem for the following second-order dynamic equations on time scales $({\phi}(u^{\Delta}))^{\nabla}+a(t)f(t,\;u(t))=0$, t $\in$ (0, T), $u(0)=\sum\limits^{m-2}_{i=1}a_iu(\xi_i)$, $\phi(u^{\Delta}(T))=\sum\limits^{m-2}_{i=1}b_i{\phi}(u^{\Delta}(\xi_i))$, where $\phi$ : R $\rightarrow$ R is an increasing homeomorphism and positive homomorphism and ${\phi}(0)=0$. In [27], we obtained the existence results of the above problem for an increasing homeomorphism and positive homomorphism with sign changing nonlinearity. The purpose of this paper is to supplement with a result in the case when the nonlinear term f is nonnegative, and the most point we must point out for readers is that there is only the p-Laplacian case for increasing homeomorphism and positive homomorphism due to the sign restriction. As an application, one example to demonstrate our results are given.

  • In this work we consider the mathematical formulation and numerical resolution of the linear feedback control problem for Boussinesq equations. The controlled Boussinesq equations is given by $$\frac{{\partial}u}{{\partial}t}-{\nu}{\Delta}u+(u{\cdot}{\nabla}u+{\nabla}p={\beta}{\theta}g+f+F\;\;in\;(0,\;T){\times}\;{\Omega}$$, $${\nabla}{\cdot}u=0\;\;in\;(0,\;T){\times}{\Omega}$$, $$u|_{{\partial}{\Omega}=0,\;u(0,x)=\;u_0(x)$$ $$\frac{{\partial}{\theta}}{{\partial}t}-k{\Delta}{\theta}+(u{\cdot}){\theta}={\tau}+T,\;\;in(0,\;T){\times}{\Omega}$$ $${\theta}|_{{\partial}{\Omega}=0,\;\;{\theta}(0,X)={\theta}_0(X)$$, where $\Omega$ is a bounded open set in $R^{n}$, n=2 or 3 with a $C^{\infty}$ boundary ${\partial}{\Omega}$. The control is achieved by means of a linear feedback law relating the body forces to the velocity and temperature field, i.e., $$f=-{\gamma}_1(u-U),\;\;{\tau}=-{\gamma}_2({\theta}-{\Theta}}$$ where (U,$\Theta$) are target velocity and temperature. We show that the unsteady solutions to Boussinesq equations are stabilizable by internal controllers with exponential decaying property. In order to compute (approximations to) solution, semi discrete-in-time and full space-time discrete approximations are also studied. We prove that the difference between the solution of the discrete problem and the target solution decay to zero exponentially for sufficiently small time step.

  • This study aims to investigate the relationship among public service motivation, hospital organizational culture type, job-esteem, and turnover intention of public hospital nurses. A cross-sectional study was conducted on 124 nurses at four public hospitals in the Gyeonggi Province (Icheon, Anseong, Suwon, Paju). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-tests, ANOVA, and Pearson correlation coefficient. Mann-Whitney U test and the Kruskal-Wallis test were used with the Bonferroni test for post hoc comparison when the data were not normally distributed. The turnover intention of the subjects was public service motivation (r=-.30, p<.001), affiliative culture (r=-.28, p=.002), innovative culture (r=-.34, p< .001) and task culture (r=-.30, p=.001) were negatively correlated. Study findings suggest that public service motivation must be increased to reduce the turnover intention of nurses in public hospitals.

  • A five wk feeding experiment was conducted with day-old one thousand broiler chicks (Arbor Acres) to determine the effects of microbial phytase (Natuphos$^{(R)}$) supplemented to low nonphytate P (NPP) corn-soy diets. Five pens of 50 mixed sex birds each were randomly assigned to each of the four dietary treatments: T1, control diet containing normal NPP level; T2, T1-0.1% NPP+600 U of phytase/kg diet; T3, T1 - 0.2% NPP+600 U of phytase/kg diet; and T4, T1 - 0.3% NPP+600 U of phytase/kg diet. T1, T2, and T3 showed similar growth rate, feed intake, and feed efficiency, indicating that NPP level in broiler diets could be reduced by approximately 0.2% by the microbial phytase supplementation. But T4 showed significantly (p<0.05) lower weight gain than others. The phytase supplementation improved P availability resulting in low P excretion. Weight and girth of metatarsal bone were increased by phytase supplementation at low NPP diet treatments but ash contents were not significantly different. It can be concluded that NPP level of corn-soy broiler diets can be safely lowered by approximately 0.2 % by supplementing 600 U of microbial phytase/kg diet. With the adjusted level of NPP and phytase supplementation, P excretion could be reduced by 50%.

  • P $b_2$S $r_2$( $Y_{1-x}$ C $a_{x}$)C $u_3$ $O_{8+}$$\delta$/ samples were prepared with x=0.4~0.6 and small $\delta$. To minimize the extent of oxidative decomposition reaction which occurs during the preparation of this phase, two annealing steps were adopted : First, sintered samples of P $b_2$S $r_2$( $Y_{1-x}$ C $a_{x}$)C $u_3$ $O_{8+}$$\delta$/ are oxygenated under 100% $O_2$, which leads to a large $\delta$(e.g., $\delta$=1.8). Second, the resulting samples are deoxygenated under 0.1~1.0% $O_2$in $N_2$, lowering $\delta$ to desired values. This two-step annealing procedure minimized the extent of oxidative decomposition. However, even with the two-step annealing procedure, the oxidative decomposition of P $b_2$S $r_2$( $Y_{1-x}$ C $a_{x}$)C $u_3$ $O_{8+}$$\delta$/ cannot be completely suppressed if $\delta$ is to be reduced to maximize $T_{c}$. Electrical resistivity data show that $T_{c}$(onset) is a function of hole concentration in the Cu $O_2$layer, and the optimum hole concentration for the maximum $T_{c}$ is achieved when $Ca^{2+}$is substituted for $Y^{3+}$between 0.5 and 0.6 A $T_{c}$(onset)=80K has been observed for one such sample, and this is the highest $T_{c}$(onset) yet reported for this compound.ed for this compound.nd.

  • An 8 week feeding trial was conducted with 864 ISA Brown laying hens, 48 weeks old, to determine if microbial phytase $(Natuphos^{(R)})$ supplementation can reduce non-phytate phosphorus (NPP) level in laying diets. The experiment consisted of four dietary treatments: T1, control diet with 0.26% NPP (0.55% total P) wand no supplementary phytase; T2, 0.21% NPP (0.50% total P) diet with 250 U of phytase/kg of diet; T3, 0.16% NPP (0.45% total P) diet with 250 U of phytase/kg of diet; and T4, 0.11% NPP (0.40% total P) diet with 250 U of phytase/kg of diet. T3 showed the highest egg production and egg weight and the lowest feed conversion while T4 gave the lowest egg production and the highest feed conversion and mortality. Daily feed consumption ranged from 130.4 g (T4) to 132.7 g (T2). T1 and T2 were not significantly different in the production parameters. Eggshell strength, egg specific gravity, and eggshell thickness were not significantly different among treatments. However, broken egg ratio was significantly lower in T2 and T4 than in T1. Retentions of Ca, P, Mg, and Cu were greater in phytase supplemented treatments (T2, T3, and T4) than the control (T1), and those in T3 and T4 were greater than in T2. Excretions of P in phytase supplemented treatments (T2, T3, and T4) were significantly (p<0.05) smaller than in T1 but excretions of N were not significantly different among the treatments. Contents of ash in tibiae were not significantly affected by treatments, but contents of Ca, P, Mg, and Zn was increased and that of Cu decreased by phytase supplementation. It is concluded that the NPP concentration in the diet of Brown layers consuming about 130 g/d of feed can be safely lowered from 0.26% (0.55% total P) to 0.16% (0.45% total P). The excretion of P was reduced by the inclusion of 250 U phytase/kg of diet.
