As many industrial systems become more complex, it becomes extremely difficult to diagnose the cause of failures. This paper presents a failure diagnosis approach based on discrete event system theory. In particular, the approach is a hybrid of event-based and state-based ones leading to a simpler failure diagnoser with supervisory control capability. The design procedure is presented along with a pump-valve system as an example.

This paper concerns two new analytical approaches for solving high nonlinear vibration equations. Energy Balance method and Hamiltonian Approach are presented and successfully applied for nonlinear vibration equations. In these approaches, there is no need to use small parameters to solve and only with one iteration, high accurate results are reached. Numerical procedures are also presented to compare the results of analytical and numerical ones. It has been established that, the proposed approaches are in good agreement with numerical solutions.

We consider the control design for nonlinear uncertain systems. The uncertainty is mismatched and possibly fast time-varying. Within the suitable range of the uncertainty the control is valid. No statistical information on uncertainty is imposed. Only the possible bound of the uncertain parameter is known and the control design is based on Lyapunov approach.

This paper presents a linear state feedback control approach to the stabilization of discrete-time uncertain systems with bounded uncertain parameters. The approach is based on the LQ(linear quadratic) regulator theory and Lyapunov's stability analysis. Asymptotically stable behavior is guaranteed in the presence of parameter uncertainties, and the upper bound of the performance index is determined.

A notion of 'fuzzy' convergence of filters on a set is introduced. We show that the collection of fuzzy L-limit spaces forms a cartesian closed topological category and obtain an interesting relationship between the notions of 'fuzzy' convergence structure and convergence approach spaces.

This paper proposes a new approach to technology valuation, the market-replacement cost approach which integrates the cost-based approach and market-based approach. The proposed approach estimates the market-replacement cost of a target technology using R&D costs of similar R&D projects previously conducted. Similar R&D projects are extracted from project database based on document similarity between project proposals and technology description of the target technology. R&D costs of similar R&D projects are adjusted by mirroring the rate of technological obsolescence and inflation. Market-replacement cost of the technology is then derived by calculating the weighted average of adjusted costs and similarity values of similar R&D projects. A case of "Prevention method and system for the diffusion of mobile malicious code" is presented to illustrate the proposed approach.

전 세계적으로 급속하게 증가하는 항공교통량으로 인해 ICAO는 기존의 항행장비를 위성항법 기반으로 대체해 나가고 있으며, 이의 일환으로 기존의 ILS를 이용한 이착륙 서비스를 GBAS 로 대체할 계획을 수립 하였다. GBAS는 활주로까지 항공기를 유도하는 정밀 접근 서비스와 공항 주위의 정밀위치정보 서비스를 제공하는 위성항법 보강시스템을 이용하여 ILS와 달리 한 개의 시스템으로 활주로의 수에 관계없이 요구 성능을 제공할 수 있으며 curved approach가 가능하다는 장점을 보유하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 태안비행장 비행시험을 통한 ILS접근 절차와 GBAS curved approach절차를 비교하여 비행시간 단축 및 연료 감소효과를 분석하였으며 실제 비행시험을 통하여 이를 측정 확인 하였다.

본 연구에서는 크게 다음과 같은 두 가지 목적을 갖고 있다. 첫째, 지식경영과 지식관리시스템에 대한 이해를 바탕으로 방송사의 지식경영 및 지식관리시스템 도입을 제안하고, 방송사에 적합한 하부시스템을 갖춘 통합지식관리시스템 구축 모형을 제안하고자 한다. 둘째, 조직의 지식관리시스템 설계와 개발을 위한 방법론으로 팀 기반 접근에 대하여 설명하고 지식관리시스템 구축 프로젝트 과정에 대하여 자세하게 제시하고자 한다. 본 논문에서는 방송사의 지식관리시스템 구축에 목적을 두고 이를 위해 6개 방송사의 웹 사이트를 비교 분석을 하였다. 그리고 방송사에 관한 자료 수집 및 현황분석을 토대로 방송사의 지식관리시스템을 5가지의 하부시스템인 (1)방송기술지원시스템, (2)방송컨텐츠시스템, (3)고객관리시스템, (4)열사네트워크시스템, (5)인사 관리시스템을 포함한 통합관리시스템의 모형을 제안하였다. 한편, 본 연구에서 사용한 팀 기반 접근법은 다른 조직의 지식관리시스템 구축에도 적용 가능하다고 본다.
