  • This thesis proposed a method that connecting step motor to image send board which can acquire image to move and remote controlling via streaming image board of PDA(personal digital assistant) based on embedded Linux which is using wireless network There are three embedded Linux system to embody movable image send board. First, though the wireless network a signal of PDA is transmitted to the board which has embedded Linux and a system which is controlled by the expansion I/O port of the board. Second, it's a system streaming realtime image at a PDA which has embedded Linux. The last is a system which controls a process of image board using TCP/IP communication and image send board at PC. These are the system which can use industrial settings and homes. It can also make use of an embodiment method about travelling image robot.

국내 제조기업의 JIT생산방식의 도입과 제조성과에 관한 연구 (JIT Production System of Domestic Manufacturers and It's Impact on Manufacturing Performance)

  • The purpose of this study is to propose guidelines for introducing the Just-In-Time (JIT) production system to enhance the competitiveness of Korean manufacturing companies. This study employed an extensive survey on the use of the JIT production systems among different korean manufacturing companies to understand the current status of the JIT production system in use and to identify the benefits from implementing JIT production system. The survey has covered 170 manufacturing companies of different sizes from various sectors of Korean industries including electronics, automobiles, machineries, and textiles. In conclusion, our research results support that the JIT production system would contribute to increase the manufacturing performances of Korean manufacturing companies through lower inventory level and increased quality level.

Corrosion Protection of Automotive Steels by Novel Water-borne Primer Systems

  • Corrosion protection of automotive steels has traditionally been assured by using a zinc phosphate metal pretreatment followed by the deposition of a cathodic electrocoat system. This system has been developed and optimized over the years into a highly robust and dependable system with a high performance. However, in terms of efficiency and use of resources and energy, the need is now felt to develop a simpler system with fewer steps, shorter lines, less energy requirements (curing and e-coat deposition) and less stringent waste disposal requirement (phosphate sludge). We report here on the development of a one-step system that can possibly replace both the zinc phosphate and the e-coating processes. Such a system is based on the so-called superprimer concept that we have recently developed for the replacement of chromate pretreatment and chromate-containing primers in the aerospace industry. With some modifications, such systems can also be adapted for use in the automotive industry.

분산 환경에서의 지능형 멀티미디어 교육 시스템 (Intelligent Multimedia Educational System on Distributed Environment)

  • This paper suggests a multimedia educational system which has the ability to extract intelligent instruction on the distributed environment. The proposed system is designed for supporting individual instruction and real time user interaction. As the system based on CORBA, we put group managing module on it for multi user environment, so it has ability for distributed computing facilities. Using MHEG standard, we can provide multimedia courseware and real time user interaction. To diagnose students' responses and generate evaluations, we use several linguistic variables of fuzzy theory. There are two major advantages for using this system. This system can provide dynamic generation of problems and the ability to provide a dynamic instruction strategy. And it can increase reusability of courseware material for using standard of multimedia representation and communication. We use CORBA and MHEG to overcome the disadvantage of the Web, passive protocol and poor interactivity, HTTP.

  • 본 논문에서 제안한 텔레메트리 시스템은 생체신호를 증거리로 전송하기 위한 RF 송신기와 전자파 간섭의 영향이 없는 광을 매체로하는 수신기로 구성된 시스템이다. 따라서 텔레메트리 시스템은 RF 송신부, 광 수신부 및 생체신호 처리를 위한 CMOS 원칩으로 구성되어있으며, 65$\times$125$\times$45mm의 크기이다. 제안된 텔레메트리 장점은 전자파에 노출을 최소화하면서 중거리(50m) 텔레메트리가 가능하여, 자유로운 상태에서의 모니터링이 가능하다.

  • As interest in the efficiency use of energy has been recently rising, studies have been performed in utilizing various types of eco-friendly green energy and natural energy. Especially there has been rapidly increase in the fields using ESS (Energy Storage System), which is the technology for storing the energy from nature. The application fields of ESS is continuously growing and expanding to various types of technologies. However, in recent years there have been continuing problems with the safety of ESS. And related researches are going on. In this paper, we has proposed a system structure to utilize more secure ESS and has monitored the system status of ESS in real time by using smart phone app. This paper has also proposed a new method to configure secure ESS by implementing GUI (Graphical User Interface) to control the system. And then explain experimental results to investigate the efficiency of the proposed ESS.

Implementation of Quality Management System for Wild-Simulated Ginseng Using Blockchain

  • A special government agency has been charged with implementing quality management to guarantee the quality of wild-simulated ginseng. However, these processes are carried out by use of documents, and this has resulted in information omission and high document management costs. To solve this problem, this study analyzed the existing quality management process by using a smart contract for the existing offline form and proposed a new quality management system for storing and managing all log data in the blockchain. This system reduced documentation management costs about quality management and recorded information in the previous step through the quality management steps, thus forming a step-by-step record chain. Experiments were conducted by implementing this system, which improved data integrity and reliability. Additionally, sensitive information, such as personal information, was included in the system by use of the off-chain technology.

  • Establishing a healthcare delivery system is key to building a cost-effective healthcare system that can prevent the waste of healthcare resources and increase efficiency. Recently, the rapid increase in the national medical expenditures due to the aging of the population and the increase in chronic diseases has raised the question about the sustainability of the healthcare system including the health insurance system. This is why we need to reform the medical delivery system, including the function setting of medical institutions. Accordingly, gradual and practical efforts based on the recognition of reality are needed for solving the problems and improving the medical delivery system. The first effort is to secure policy measures to establish functions and roles of medical institutions which are the basis of the healthcare delivery system, and a systematic medical use system for appropriate medical use. This approach can be achieved through a reasonable health insurance schemes. Without reasonable reform efforts, it will be difficult for Korea's health care system to develop into a system that can provide cost-effective and high-quality medical services that the people want.

  • The supply rate of renewable energy has been increasing under the influence of an energy scarcity. Government has supported the use of renewable energy by government subsidies. The operation of renewable may not been operating appropriately, although increasing the use of renewable energy. We found out some problems of the operation of renewable energy and offered some improvements. This research proposes the efficient operation method for the solar thermal system, and proposed operation method was compared and evaluated with existing operation strategy after selecting one building installed solar thermal system. Recently, the interest to renewable energy has increased because of the environmental issues and energy crisis. However the utilization of the renewable energy system is low because of the use of renewable energy system and existing renewable energy system independently, although supply rate of renewable system is increasing. Especially, in the case of solar thermal system heating load is not responsible for the load of hot water supply in many cases. Therefore, suggesting efficient operation plans and evaluations of the energy consumption and efficiency of a solar thermal system is needed.
