This paper presents the detection of internal combustion engine's multiple misfire. The primary cause of air pollution by vehicles is imperfect conbustion of fuel. The CARB(California Air Resources Board) have imposed regulations for the detection of misfiring in automotive engines. The OBD-II regulations requir that misfire should be monitored by the diagnostic system, and that the goal of OBD-II is to alert the driver to the presence of a malfunction of the emission control system. Present invention based upon measurements of engine roughness as derived from crankshaft angular velocity measurements with special signal processing method. Crankshaft angular velocity signals are processed by walsh-fourier transform. Experimental work confims that it's possible to apply walsh-fourier transform for the detection of multiple misfires in no-load idle and road testing.

This paper presents issues of display hardware architecture, relating to memory, display driver IC architecture, and chip-to-chip interface. To achieve a low power and low cost mobile phone, not only the display architecture must be carefully selected, but also the driver-ICs optimized to accommodate the different modes of operation found in typical handheld devices. The technique of forming a photo sensor in each pixel using TFT and display module architecture are developed to add multi functions in display such as fingerprint recognition, image scanning, and integrated touch screen. Detailed architectures of IC partitioning, high-speed serial interface, D/A converter, and multi functions such as fingerprint recognition and image scanning using photo sensors are important to a power optimized system.

In this paper we present an integrated Hail sensor It for fan motors, fabricated in industrial bipolar process. As a discrete Hall sensor and signal processing circuitry In the fan motor system were Integrated into single chip a temperature dependence of Hall sensitivity and Hall offset voltage can be compensated and cancelled by on-chip circuitry. We Propose a novel temperature compensation of Hall sensitivity with negative temperature coefficient (TC) using the differential amplifier gain with Positive TC. After a package of the chip was sealed using a plastic Package 20 Pins, the thermal and magnetic characteristics were investigated. The obtained experimental results are in agreement with analytical predictions and have more excellent performance than\ulcorner conventional the fan motor system using discrete Hall sensor.

This paper describes the advanced KUIC_LED which is a 2-dimensional graphics editor for IC mask layout. This system runs on IBM PC/AT with the ${\Omega}$/PC graphics board. Though this system runs on PC, it offers about fifty commands to do most kinds of layout and 16 mask layer. KUIC_LED(${\Omega}$/PC_VERSION) is written in C language.

In the embedded system, external device interface that operates serial protocol with lower speed than the general computers is used commonly. This paper describes I2C bus protocol that is a bi-directional serial bus with a two-pin interface. The I2C bus requires a minimum amount of hardware to relay status and reliability information concerning the processor subsystem to an external device.

A simple and rapid sample pretreatment process necessary for determination of metal oxides in water was proposed. Samples were injected into the continuous-flow tube installed inside the microwave oven and the treated samples were cooled before entered to the Ion Chromatography (IC) or Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP). By coupling this microwave digestion system with IC or ICP, a fully automatic analytical procedures may be easily established. In this study, two different types of digestion methods were considered; the open tubing method (OTM) and the restraint tubing method (RTM). The RTM was proved to be 3 times faster in digestion period and 10 times higher in detection range than the OTM. Validation of proposed sample digestion system was carried out by using an ICP. The results showed that both of continuous-flow methods, the OTM and the RTM were comparable in accuracies with the conventional batch-type vessel digestion method.

로열티는 상품 구입의 대가로 고객에게 지급하는 보너스이고, 로열티 시스템은 스마트 카드를 이용하여 이러한 로열티의 이동을 제어하는 시스템이다. 기존 가맹점 위주의 로열티 시스템은 기업, 상점별로 독자적으로 운영되어 시스템간 호환성이 없고 한 상점에서 받은 로열티를 다른 상점에서 사용하는데 제약이 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 기존 가맹점 위주의 로열티 시스템의 범위를 확대해서, IC 카드를 기반으로 여러 기업들에 공동으로 적용되고 로열티 판매, 결제, 관리를 온라인으로 처리하는 시스템을 개발하였다. 이 논문은 로열티 시스템의 핵심 요소인 NAC, TCS, TMS의 기능 구현 사항과 로열티 시스템의 통신 프로토콜에 대해 기술한다.

본 연구에서는 RLS(Rescursive Least Square) 알고리즘을 이용하여 정전용량형 습도센서를 사용한 원격 RF 센서 시스템의 시변 파라메타를 추정하고자 한다. IC 칩 형태의 원격 RF 센서 시스템이 가지는 구성의 복잡성 그리고 전력소모 문제를 해결하기 위해 보다 간단한 유도결합모델이 제안된다. 모델기반의 RLS 알고리즘을 수학적인 모델로 유도된 시스템에 적용시키기 위해 페이저법을 이용하여 모델의 파라메타를 재배열한다. 오차 제곱합의 수렴특성을 가진 RLS 알고리즘을 이용하여 시변 파라메타를 추정하며, 잡음을 내포한 측정 데이터에 대한 추정 성능을 확인함으로써 그 유효성을 검증하고자 한다.

In this study, high frequency oscillatory ventilator was designed and constructed. Using designed by phase-lock loop system, in order to accurately and easily treat both the outlet volume and rpm. A system has been designed and is being evaluated using CD4046A PLL IC. We use this PLL IC for the purpose of motor controls. The device consists of PLL system, pumping mechanism, piston, cylinder, and special crank shaft are required. This system characteristics were as follows : 1) Frequency : 20-1800rpm. 2) Outlet air volume : 1-50cc.

Cytokine production is a sensitive indicator for monitoring perturbations of the immune system by xenobiotics in animals and humans. In the present study, we evaluated the changes in $IFN{\gamma}$, IL-5 and $TNF{\alpha}$ mRNA expression after atrazine (ATZ), perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) or zearalenone (ZEA) exposure in Jurkat cells. The IC50 (concentration for a 50% inhibition of cell proliferation) of PFOA and ZEA after 3 days culture were $226.6\;{\mu}M$ and $52.6\;{\mu}M$, respectively. The effects of ATZ on cytokine expression followed in increasing order of $IFN{\gamma}$>IL-5>$TNF{\alpha}$ at $3\;{\mu}M$ and at the lower concentrations the degree of effects on three cytokines were less clear between the cytokines when compared to control level. PFOA had marked increasing effect in order of $IFN{\gamma}$>$TNF{\alpha}$>IL-5 mRNA expression at IC50, and these patterns were continued at the lower concentrations, IC50/2 and IC50/4. ZEA caused the overexpression of cytokine mRNAs in order of IL-5>$IFN{\gamma}$>$TNF{\alpha}$ at both IC50 and IC50/2, and at IC50/4 the overexpression order was IL-5>$TNF{\alpha}$. On other hand, $IFN{\gamma}$ was less distinct compared to the control. These data indicate that ATZ, PFOA and ZEA caused the overtranscription of $IFN{\gamma}$, IL-5 and $TNF{\alpha}$ mRNA, and the overproduction of these cytokines may eventually lead to immune disorders.
