  • We consider a problem of application of analytical redundancy to engine synchronization process of spark ignition engines, which is critical to timing for every ECU process including ignition and injection. The engine synchronization process we consider here is performed using the pulse signal obtained by the revolution of crankshaft trigger wheel (CTW) coupled to crank shaft. We propose a discrete-time linear model for the signal, for which we construct FDI (Fault Detection & Isolation) system consisting residual generator and threshold based on linear observer.

  • In this paper, we design MHEG engine that can generate MHEG objects and present It to the users in Multimedia/Hypermedia Applications In the MHEG engine, the transmitted MHEG objects decoded into internal format. For the easy interpretation of MHEG objects, we define internal format as to be matched for each MHEG object. We easily processobjectinformation using the tree data structure because object inheritance and possession can be represented in tree structure. Object inheritance and possession must be represented in the internal format because they used in resolving the reference to external objector data file. The presentation synchronization extracts the synchronization information from MHEG composite objects, representing and controlling heterogencous media associated to spatio- temporal relation. In order to exactly represent the spatio-temporal synchronization included into MHEG composite object, we propose the algorithm that processes synchronization using the message of the synchronization module and the internal objects. MHEG engine proposed in this paper may be basic technology fro multimedia application area using Korea New Net.

  • For interchange of multimedia informations and presentation as intented by objects composer, there are need to interchange format of informations and control synchronization between medias. And It is therefore need to provide a method and apparatus for synchroniztion control of multimedia objects which can control the conditional, temporal. and spatial synchronization in a MHEG engine developed to execute the functions defined as the international standards. In this paper. We propose to improved method and apparatus for synchronization control of multimedia objects which can execute the synchronized presentation by combining media data needed for presentation of multimedia information, and which enable the interactive processing between the user and the MHEG engine by allowing the user input to be processed during presentation.

  • 유무선 단말간의 데이터 동기화를 위한 표준인 SyncML을 이용하여 SyncML서버를 구현하였다. SyncML의 개략적인 설명과 함께 구현한 SyncML 서버 구조를 소개하고, 그 중 Sync Engine에 대하여 기술하였다. Sync Engine은 SyncML 프로토콜에 영향을 주지 않고 제공되어지는 서비스 및 정책에 종속적인 역할을 담당하는 프레임이다. Sync Engine을 구현함으로써 사용자에게는 편리하게 다양한 서비스를 사용할 수 있고, 개발자에게는 쉽고 빠르게 서비스의 추가 및 정책 반영을 합 수 있다.

  • The SyncML, the standard synchronization protocol, supports the synchronization of various application services between a client and a server such as an address book, a calendar. Even with this standard protocol, SyncML application developers usually spend a long time and efforts implementing service specific logics and databases. This paper designed and implemented the SDE(Service Development Environment) which is an integrated development environment for SyncML server developers to develop an application service rapidly and correctly. The SDE consists of two components i.e., the Sync Library and the SEG(Sync Engine Generator) tool. To prove the applicability of this study we implemented a SyncML server by using the SDE and also carried out the correctness tests and the performance test. We hope this system helps developers implement mobile application services more efficiently.

  • Various 3D contents are being developed using Unity 3D game engine. In this paper, the 3D content of horseback riding game, the first VR game in the country, is designed and developed. The existing riding simulator is investigated and compared to the VR riding game developed. We consider various games developed using Unity 3D game engine and serve previously developed tangible games. It is expected that development of VR riding games will prepare a new chapter in VR experience-type games. We propose the content development environment and scenario of VR riding game and present the main algorithms and main modules for real-time synchronization. The developed riding game contents are deployed to the riding system and are operated for commercial use in conjunction with the riding device. Through monitoring VR riding system, problems are derived and improvement measures are proposed. We offer a variety of additional development options to make the game more realistic in the future.

  • Operating characteristics of DGT-5 being developed by Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction Co., Ltd. for power generation service was evaluated. Starting behavior was improved by a series of tests to investigate the effect of various fuel schedule and several combination of bleed valve control. The engine showed stable operation without any instability of compressor in the full operating regime covering from start-up to load conditions. If there is a rapid change of load in the condition of synchronization to Grid, the engine can be controlled stably based on the analysis of dynamic responses of the engine to an rapid load change and a sudden load rejection.

  • This paper presents an authoring system for users to create and edit multimedia documents more easily. Our system supports dynamic authoring to feedback the inconsistency that could be occurred when users authorize and flexible media synchronization. For these, we define a new time relation based on causal relation and provide an internal representation using trees and structured document parsing. The system consists of the components such as visual interface, parsing, and presentation engine. It has been implemented on Microsoft Windows 95 with Visual C++.

  • 엔진 배기가스의 동력과 유량이 배기행정의 직전 단계에서 관찰되었다. 배기가스 양을 적당히 조정함으로써 터보 과급의 입구 압력을 증가시킬 수 있었으며 엔진의 흡기, 소기 및 배기과정에서 가스질량과 엔진의 동력, 그리고 터보과급 효과도 감소하였다. 터보 과급장치를 기하학적으로 적절화시킴으로써 싸이클의 동기화 및 동력의 효율이 고려된 열교환 과정의 효율 기준도 제기되었으며 디젤엔진의 연소싸이클을 재수정하는 과정과 터빈의 동역학적 특성도 제시되었다.

Determination of Diesel Sprays Characteristics in Real Engine In-Cylinder air Density and Pressure Conditions

  • The present paper centers on the establishment of a quantified relationship between the macroscopic visual parameters of a Diesel spray and its most influential factors. The factors considered are the ambient gas density, as an external condition relative to the injection system, and nozzle hole diameter and injection pressure as internal ones. The main purpose of this work is to validate and extend the different correlations available in the literature to the present state of the Diesel engine, i.e. high injection pressure, small nozzle holes, severe cavitating conditions, etc. Five mono-orifice, axi-symmetrical nozzles with different diameters have been studied in two different test rigs from which one can reproduce solely the real engine in-cylinder air density, and the other, both the density and the pressure. A parametric study was carried out and it enabled the spray tip penetration to be expressed as a function of nozzle hole diameter, injection pressure and environment gas density. The temporal synchronization of the penetration and injection rate data revealed a possible explanation for the discontinuity observed as well by other authors in the spray's penetration law. The experimental results obtained from both test rigs have shown good agreement with the theoretical analysis. There have been observed small but consistent differences between the two test rigs regarding the spray penetration and cone angle, and thus an analysis of the possible causes for these differences has also been included.
