Low-Complexity Symbol Timing Offset Estimation Schemes for OFDM Systems

  • In this paper, we propose three symbol syn-chronization schemes for Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex (OFDM) systems. The cyclic extension preceding OFDM symbols is of decisive importance for these schemes. The first scheme uses the phase-differential coding of the received OFDM signal. The second and the third schemes use the length of the received OFDM signal. All three schemes make symbol synchronization possible, even though there is a frequency off-set in the system. Simulation results show that these schemes can be used to synchronize an OFDM system over AWGN and multi-path fading channels.

  • The purpose of this paper is to find an efficient solution for multiple constant multiplication (MCM) problem. Since the circuit structure can be represented as a directed acyclic graph, evolutionary computing is considered as an effective tool for optimization of circuit synthesis. In this paper, we propose a stack type operator as a chromosome element to synthesize a directed acyclic graph efficiently. This type of chromosome can represent a graph structure with a set of simple symbols and so we can employ the similar method to a conventional GA.

  • Nowadays, computer-mediated communications such as chatting and e-mail are widely used in younger generation. It has been known that the communicating words used by on-line users (so-called netizens) are quite different from those used by ordinary people. That is, the words are generally characterized by shortened, mimetic and onomatopoeic words, and the netizens also use various types of emoticon expressed like signs or symbols. This can cause some orthographic as well as cultural problems. This paper investigates some statistical data in PC-based communications, analyzes the general characteristics, and provides some explanations.

In terms of housing \ulcorner self interactions, this paper aims at defining how human self is influenced by housing and is reflected on housing.This paper discusses meanings and symbols of housing, it also clarifies the development of industry and technology have effect on housing - self indentify and enrich reification, pseudoindividuality, alienation.This paper concludes that human beings are creative agent and accordingly suggests revitalizing housing environmental representations .

A New Constant Modulus Algorithm based on Maximum Probability Criterion

  • In this paper, as an alternative to constant modulus algorithm based on MSE, maximization of the probability that equalizer output power is equal to the constant modulus of the transmitted symbols is introduced. The proposed algorithm using the gradient ascent method to the maximum probability criterion has superior convergence and steady-state MSE performance, and the error samples of the proposed algorithm exhibit more concentrated density functions in blind equalization environments. Simulation results indicate that the proposed training has a potential advantage versus MSE training for the constant modulus approach to blind equalization.

  • 식품의약품안전처는 "약사법", "의약품 등의 안전에 관한 규칙", "의약외품 표시에 관한 규정"(식약처 고시 제2013-32호)에 혼재되어 있는 의약외품에 관한 표시 기재를 종합하고 그 내용을 알기 쉽게 설명하고자 본 해설서를 배포했다. 본 고에서는 의약품 표시 기재 관련 일반 사항과 함께 용기 등의 기재사항, 기재상의 주의 사항 등에 대해 살펴보도록 한다. 단, 본 해설서는 현재의 법령 및 규정에 대한 일반적인 해석을 기술하고 있는 것으로서 법적 효력이 있는 사항이 아니며, 개별 사항에 따라 다르게 해석할 수 있음을 알린다.

  • In this article, we give an example of local derivation, that is not derivation, on the algebra F(x1,…, xn) of rational functions in x1, …, xn over an infinite field F, and show that if X is a set of symbols and {x1,…, xn} is a finite subset of X, n$\geq$1, then each local derivation of F[x1,…, xn] into F[X] is a F-derivation and each local derivation of F[X] into itself is also a F-derivation.

  • We examine plane waves of the elastic reduced wave equation in the half-space, and show that linear combinations of them can cover all plane waves on the boundary. The proof is based on the complex analysis for the symbol in the (dual) variable in the normal direction to the boundary.

  • In the present article, authors obtained certain fractional derivative and integral formulas involving incomplete ${\tau}$-hypergeometric function introduced by Parmar and Saxena [14]. Some interesting special cases and consequences of our main results are also considered.
