하수도 시설 관리 시스템의 개발 및 적용 (Development and Application of Sewer Facility Management System)

  • An integrated sewer management system was developed for the analysis of sewer flow and for optimal operation of sewer works using ArcView and SWMM. SWMM and ArcView were dynamically linked together using Avenue in order to construct user-friendly management system. The developed system was applied to a residential area in Choonchun city to verify its utilities. All the relevant field data were analyzed on the basis of developed system, and the modeling of sewer flow was implemented using RUNOFF, EXTRAN, TRANSPORT in SWMM. This system is now in the process of connection to the management system of watershed and surface environment in order to develope an integrated environmental management system. Futhermore, this system will be a critical part of overall control system of sewer works including sewer line and wastewater treatment plant. As this system can provide comprehensive prediction of flow and pollution profiles, it could serve as a tool not only for optimal management, but also for decision support system to examine the efficiency of planning and implementation of sewer projects.

Review of Aging Management for Concrete Silo Dry Storage Systems

  • The Wolsong Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) operates an on-site spent fuel dry storage facility using concrete silo and vertical module systems. This facility must be safely maintained until the spent nuclear fuel (SNF) is transferred to an external interim or final disposal facility, aligning with national policies on spent nuclear fuel management. The concrete silo system, operational since 1992, requires an aging management review for its long-term operation and potential license renewal. This involves comparing aging management programs of different dry storage systems against the U.S. NRC's guidelines for license renewal of spent nuclear fuel dry storage facilities and the U.S. DOE's program for long-term storage. Based on this comparison, a specific aging management program for the silo system was developed. Furthermore, the facility's current practices-periodic checks of surface dose rate, contamination, weld integrity, leakage, surface and groundwater, cumulative dose, and concrete structure-were evaluated for their suitability in managing the silo system's aging. Based on this review, several improvements were proposed.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 무기체계 또는 탄약의 효과분석을 위한 데이터를 생산할 수 있는 방법을 제공하는데 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 다양한 전장환경하에서 지대지 곡사화기 효과도 데이터 생산방법론 연구를 통한 모형을 개발하였다. 이러한 목적을 위해서 피해면적과 기대피해율 계산을 위해 사용되어지는 수리적 방법을 분석하였고, 지대지 곡사화기의 효과도 데이터를 생산하기 위한 모형에 적용하였다. 제시된 모형의 타당성 검증을 위해서, 미 합동 탄약교범에 검증할 수 있는 기초자료를 수집하였고 그 기초자료를 개발된 모형에 적용하여 결과값 비교를 통한 검증을 하였다.

  • Life-cycle performance and maintaining cost predictions are required for the effective management for bridges. In Korea, the importance of management of bridges has been recognized over the past two decades, resulting in the development of databases and various bridge management support tools by both government and private sectors. However, none of these tools has truly included the expected features of the bridge management system (EMS) for the next generation such as the quantification of the effects of maintenance interventions on bridge condition and safety. In this paper, a novel quantification process to simulate the life-cycle performance of steel box bridges has been developed. The process is based on the Response Surface method. Various performance-related variables aloe investigated to identify a set of significant design variables to construct the response surfaces.

Web 기반의 종합적 환경제어시스템의 개발 및 적용 (Web Based Comprehensive Environmental Control Engine)

  • This paper is aimed at the development of comprehensive environmental management system, which can be operated on the basis of world wide web. This study has been initiated as a topic of G7 project in 1988, and will be accomplished in 2001. Even thought there should be lots of works remaining to achieve this goal, preliminary products can be summarized as follows : 1) integrated environments information management system, 2) web based control engine, 3) surface water environment management system, 4) subsurface water environment management system, 5) sewer and waterworks management system. The core methodology of the engine is the generalized multidimensional finite element matrices to depict the terms in the analysis of various partial differential equations. Spatial information management system (ArcView) and Visual Basic were extensively employed to construct GUI oriented web based engine. Developed systems were consist with very intense computer codes due to the necessity of combinatory management of environmental problems. The web based engine could be served as a decision tool for the integrated management of environmental projects in Korea.

New Geometric modeling method: reconstruction of surface using Reverse Engineering techniques

  • In reverse engineering area, it is rapidly developing reconstruction of surfaces from scanning or digitizing data, but geometric models of existing objects unavailable many industries. This paper describes new methodology of reverse engineering area, good strategies and important algorithms in reverse engineering area. Furthermore, proposing reconstruction of surface technique is presented. A method find base geometry and blending surface between them. Each based geometry is divided by triangular patch which are compared their normal vector for face grouping. Each group is categorized analytical surface such as a part of the cylinder, the sphere, the cone, and the plane that mean each based geometry surface. And then, each based geometry surface is implemented infinitive surface. Infinitive average surface's intersections are trimmed boundary representation model reconstruction. This method has several benefits such as the time efficiency and automatic functional modeling system in reverse engineering. Especially, it can be applied 3D scanner and 3D copier.

앰포테릭섬유/산성염료계의 계면동전압 측정치에 대한 PCA (Principle Component Analysis on Electrokinetic Measurements for Amphoteric Fibers/Acid Dye System)

  • In the light of the properties of colloids, in the surface of disperse phase and dispersion, there exist specific characters such as adsorption or electric double layer, which seems to play important roles in determining the physiochemical properties in the dyeing system. Nylon, wool and silk, the typical amphoteric fibers were dyed with Acid dye and various combinations were prepared by combining pH, temperature and dye concentration, in order to generate flowing electric potential which were measured by microviolt meter and specific conductivity meter. The results were transformed to Zeta potential by Helmholtz-Smoluchowski formular and to surface electric charge density by Suzawa formular, surface dye amount, and effective surface area of fibers, and these data were statistically analysed by principle component analysis.

프로그레시브 금형의 품질관리를 위한 정도관리 시스템 개발 (Development of a Precision Management System for Quality Control of Progressive die)

  • 금속의 표면관리는 공구 현미경이나 표면 조도 측정기를 이용하고 있다. 이러한 방법은 구조적인 문제로 인하여 생산현장에서 금형의 표면 상태 확인을 하기에는 효율성이 떨어진다. 이런 이유로 완성된 금형의 노후화에 따른 마모, 흠집 및 표면 상태를 관리할 수 있는 분석시스템 또는 측정시스템이 필요하다. 본 연구는 금형이나 가공품의 자동분석 및 기준화를 위한 표면상태 분석 소프트웨어를 개발하였다. 소프트웨어는 기본적으로 원, 점, 선 등의 요소들을 측정할 수 있게 개발하였으며, 캡처한 사진을 3차원 이미지로 구현하여 금형에 생긴 홈의 깊이와 단면 프로파일을 추정할 수 있도록 중점을 두었다. 실험분석결과 표면 조도는 93.2%이상의 정확도를 나타냈으며, 조명밝기에 대한 표면 조도의 최대편차는 $3{\mu}m$ 이내로 매우 정밀하였다. 이런 결과로 금형의 측정 및 표면분석을 통한 품질관리의 효율성을 확인 할 수 있었다.

콘크리트 표면절삭 장비의 품질관리를 위한 머신비전 알고리즘 개발 (A Study of the Machine Vision Algorithm for Quality Control of Concrete Surface Grinding Equipment)

  • 콘크리트 표면절삭 작업은 콘크리트 표면의 평탄성 및 부착성을 필요로 하는 공사에서 빈번히 사용되고 있으나 작업형태가 노동집약적이며, 유해한 작업환경을 보유하고 있다. 또한 장비를 다루는 기능공의 숙련도에 따라 생산성 및 절삭품질의 편차가 큰 경향이 있다. 그러므로 주변 환경오염 방지와 장비 조종자가 위험에 노출되지 않도록 하기 위한 원격조종 콘크리트 표면절삭 장비 개발이 요구된다. 그러나 원격 조종 시스템에서 조종자가 절삭면의 품질을 측정하기 난해하고 품질에 대한 객관적인 판단을 내리기가 어려우므로, 본 연구에서는 머신비젼시스템(Machine Vision System)을 적용하여 네트워크 카메라로 촬영한 절삭면의 이미지를 디지털 영상처리(Image Processing)과정을 거쳐 그 결과를 그래픽 MMI(Man-Machine Interface) 프로그램에 표현함으로써 품질관리 시스템을 구축하였다. 머신비전 알고리즘은 콘크리트 절삭면의 디지털 영상처리 알고리즘을 의미하며 본 논문에서 제안된 알고리즘을 적용하여 콘크리트 절삭면의 객관적인 품질관리 기준을 제시하고자 한다.
