The Purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the leasure activity and social support of the elderly people on their psychological well-being and the moderating role of social support. For this study, data were collected from 347 old people participating in the leasure activity programs operated by 10 facilities for the aged in Seoul, using structured questionnaires. Hierarchical regression analysis technique was used as a main data analysis method for hypothesis test. This study found that productive leasure activity had a beneficial effect on psychological well-being of the elderly measured in terms of life satisfaction and loneliness, whereas consumptive leasure activity had a positive effect only on life satisfaction; that, with regard to social support, spouse support had the most important effect on life satisfaction, followed by friend support and children support, whereas friend support had the most important effect on loneliness, followed by spouse support; and that the relationship between productive leasure activity and life satisfaction was moderated by spouse support and friend support, whereas the relationship between productive leasure activity and loneliness was moderated by friend support.

The purpose of the research was to verify the mediating effect of social support and cognitive emotional regulation strategy when office worker's emotional expressive ambivalence influences on interpersonal stress. A survey was conducted with 422 office workers from August to September of 2018. SPSS, AMOS and Mplus were used for descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, verification of structural equation modeling and mediated effect. There was a partial mediating effect in emotional expressive ambivalence of self-defense model, a complete mediating effect in relational emotional expressive ambivalence model. In both self-defense and relational emotional expressive ambivalence model, double mediation effect of passing through support and cognitive emotional regulation strategy in the relationship between emotional expressive ambivalence and interpersonal stress was significant. This study sought ways to reduce interpersonal stress by increasing the level of perception of social support and using adaptive cognitive emotional control strategies for office workers.

This study investigated the relationship between social support and the well-being among the unemployed. Special attention was given to the empirical tests of the main effect and the stress buffering effect of social support on the psychosocial well-being and the practical implications in developing service strategies for the unemployed. Three-hundred-Sixty-nine(369) unemployed people in Choong-ju City and surrounding areas participated to the study. The results showed that both main and direct effects were partially supported by the data. In exploring the direct effect, social support from the family showed the strongest positive effect on the well-being of the unemployed. In the test of the stress buffering effect, the results showed a marginal buffering role of social support against the negative impacts of stress. Drawn from the results, the needs for further research in investigating the social support theory were suggested and possible implications for developing social work intervention strategies for the unemployed were identified.

Micro and small enterprises are businesses that absorb the most labor in Korea. The position of micro and small enterprises in the national economy has an important and strategic role because micro and small enterprises are quite dominant in the Korea economy. The purpose of this study is to look at the effect of the CEO' business experience, competency(job competency, money competency, digital competency), government support service(government support satisfaction, education support) on the performance. For this study, data was collected from 220 CEO by using questionnaires. The statistics analysis SPSS 24.0 was used, it is a factor analysis, reliability test and multiple regression analysis for hypothesis verification. The research results are as follows. First, as a result of examining the effect of the CEO competency on the performance, it was found that among the competency factors, money competency and digital competency had a significantly positive (+) effect on the performance. Second, as a result of examining the effect of government support service on the performance, government support satisfaction, education support had a positive (+) effect on the performance. Thirdly, in the relationship between CEO' business experience, competency, government support service and performance, the mediating effect of self efficiency was significant money competency→self efficiency→performance, digital competency→self efficiency→performance.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore the relationships of family strain, perceived social support, family hardiness, and family adaptation and identify the family resiliency factors for the adaptation of families who have a child with congenital heart disease. Method: The sample consisted of 90 families who had a child diagnosed with congenital heart disease and completed surgical treatment. Data was collected from parents using a questionnaire. Results: Results from path analyses revealed that family strain had a direct effect on both perceived social support and family hardiness, and an indirect effect on family adaptation. Also, the findings revealed that perceived social support had a direct effect on both family hardiness and family adaptation, and family hardiness had a direct effect on family adaptation. Thus, these results indicated that perceived social support and family hardiness had a mediating effect on family strain. Conclusion: Findings provide the evidence for the theoretical and empirical significance of perceived social support and family hardiness as family resiliency factors for family adaptation. Clinical implications of these findings might be discussed in terms of family-centered nursing interventions for the families who have a child with congenital heart disease based on an understanding of family resiliency for adaptation.

This study noted that the social support and service satisfaction in care services consist of a continuous process of realizing children's rights beyond a single-line effect on children's happiness. This study was to examine the effects of Caregiver' social support on happiness among children using Community Child Center and mediating the effects of service satisfaction. For this, the questionnaire survey was made on targeting 4, 5, 6th grade students using 185 Community Child Centers located Jeonbuk. To this end, survey data were collected 1,241 data, SPSS 23 and Amos 23 were carried out description statistics, correlation analysis and structure equation analysis. The results were as follows. First, caregiver's social support had a direct effect on happiness. Second, service satisfaction had a significant mediating effect on the relationship between social support and happiness. Based on this, this study suggested the policy and practical implication to promote the children' happiness.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of grandparenting on the grandparent's level of depression. In addition, it is to test the mediating effect of social support and the moderating effect of household type on the relationships between variables. The 555 grandparent sample in this study was from the Korean Longitudinal Study of Aging(KLoSA). The findings indicated that grandparenting(grandparenting time per day and total weeks of grandparenting per year) was significantly related to the grandparent's level of depression. In addition, the grandparent's age was also associated with grandparenting, grandparent's depression, and social support. Grandparent's health condition and marital status was associated with social support. Grandparent's gender had a significant relationship with grandparent's depression and grandparenting time per day. Social support had a direct effect to the grandparent's depression; however, it was not a statistically significant mediator between grandparenting and grandparent's depression. In addition, household type was not a significant moderator of measuring the relationships among grandparenting, grandparent's depression, and social support. Implications for social work practice were discussed based on the result of the study.

This study was conducted with the purpose of examining the effect of material deprivation on the subjective mental health of youth and the moderating effect of social support in these relationships. For this purpose, frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and moderating effect model were analyzed using the response data of 2,041 youth who participated in the '2021 Youth Social and Economic Survey'. As a result of the analysis, first, it was found that the material deprivation of youth negatively and significantly affects subjective mental health. Second, it was found that social support moderated the effect of material deprivation on the subjective mental health of youth. The results of this study show that in order to improve the subjective mental health level of youth, it is necessary to not only strengthen public policies and systems to prevent the situation of material deprivation of youth in advance, but also to strengthen the social support system by raising the level of social support.

The objective of this study is to understand the influence of Work-Life Balance (WLB) support system on employee engagement (organizational commitment and job commitment) and to examine the moderating effect of perceived organizational support (instrumental and emotional) on the relationship between WLB and employee engagement. To test the research model and hypotheses, this study analyzed 537 responses from employees of sample companies that were carrying out the WLB support system during the period of December 1 through 31, 2014, and the results of the analysis are as follows: First, the correlation between employee engagement (organizational commitment) and the WLB support system showed that the influence of WLB support system on employee engagement(organizational commitment) was greater in the order of growth, job, and family support system. Second, the correlation between WLB support system and employee engagement(job involvement) showed that growth and job support system had significant relationship. Third, in the relationship between WLB support system and employe engagement(organizational commitment), there was no moderating effect of perceived organizational support. Fourth, in the relationship between the WLB support system and employee engagement(the job involvement), both institutional and emotional supports factors of the perceived organizational support had moderating effects in the relationship between growth support system and employee engagement(job involvement). This study has academic significance in that it is an empirical study examining the relationship between the WLB support system and employee engagement, which has not actively investigaged in Korea.

Purpose - Social commerce (SC) is the growth of social media highlighting the e-commerce transactions and currently, the greatest challenges of e-commerce have attracted the influence of trust in social commerce intention (SCI). Based on the challenge, the study's purpose is to discover the effect of social support (informational and emotional support) on the SCI. The study also explores the mediation effect of trust and the moderation impact of culture between the USA and Korea. Design/methodology - This study used a sample of 482 surveys filled out by online shoppers from the US and Korea, two countries with divergent cultural values. Structural equation modelling (SEM) is used to analyze the hypothetical paths. In addition, bootstrapping and multi-group analysis are perform to view mediation and moderation effects respectively. Findings - The results of our study shows that both informational and emotional support significantly influences trust and SCI. Our results also supports the mediating effect of trust in social support and the moderating effect of culture in forming SCI. Originality/value - Our empirical results provide important information to businesses formulating cross-cultural SC strategies. This will help SC companies to analyze the aspects of customer trust through social support, which in turn will increase SCI and thereby established a competitive position for SCs. Our results will also be holistic directions for SC vendors in cross-cultural settings, which will offer important social and economic contributions to the sustainable growth of SC's business.
