Over the years, Advanced Public Transportation System (APTS) has been implemented to manage and operate public transportation system. With the expanding mass spatio-temporal data such as comprehensive spatial information of each individual passenger and public transportation vehicle, it has been required to consolidate and analyze these multiple data sets from various sources. This paper demonstrates how GIS is utilized for the consolidation of massive transit related spatio-temporal information. And it presents effective applications to improve transit planning process and support transit related decision-making activities. GIS based system is used to combine multi-agents' data in the areas of transit operation and individual transit ride and transfer management. Due to the unique comprehensiveness and the level of detail of the data provide by the Seoul Transit system, this GIS based information consolidation is the first in its class. Based on the integrated database, this paper describes the effective and efficient GIS based analysis deployed in a transportation system planning process. The data integration systems and analytic models developed in this paper can be transferred and applied by any municipal governments provided that the appropriate data is available.
The aim of this study was to develop scale of test taker to affect on process of selection of college. The study procedures were performed as follow : establish of study model, item generation, verification of content validity, 1st and 2nd pilot test and verification of construct validity and reliability. In order to verification of validity and reliability, 230 freshman were surveyed and the data were analyzed by mean, standard deviation, skewness. kurtosis, Pearson correlation, Verimax factor analysis and Cronbach's ${\alpha}$. As result of factor analysis, the 15 factors(61 items) that explain 68.37% of the total variance were extracted and each factors were classified by attribution as follow : Information collection-mass media(4items), college activity (3items), support and environment(4items), education(5items), Influential person on decision making(3items), education quality(4items), education service(5items), reputation(3items), accessibility(2items), personal circumstances(2items), college's mass media(5items), promotion (4items), on-line(4items), person's PR (3items), College image(10items). Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ of total items was 0.916 and Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ of each factors were showed range between 0.694~0.878. Measurement scale of this study may be utilized to collect basic data be required to establish policy strategy of local college be faced with difficulty of admission recruitment.
The objective of this study was to develop thinning effect analysis model (TEAM) using individual-tree distance-independent growth model of Pinus koraiensis Stands. The TEAM was designed to analyze thinning effects associated with such thinning prescriptions as the number, timing, intensity, and method of thinnings. To testing TEAM application, stand growth effects were compared with seven scenarios according to thinning prescription plan. In the results, it was possible to estimate the number of trees, height, volume with diameter (DBH) class of individual trees, and average diameter growth, height growth, the number of trees and volume growth per ha of stands. The result of sensitivity analysis on one Pinus koraiensis stand, it was not sure to expect the much more volume at the rotation age by stand density control applying thinning prescription. In the case of thinning, total yield volume has much more $40{\sim}75m^3$ per ha, within 5 cm in average diameter growth and within 1 m in average height growth than thats of non-thinning over increasing stand age. TEAM, as decision making support system, can be used for selecting the thinning prescription trial and determining one of some thinning prescription plan in different site specific stand environments.

As the ARRA enacted recently in the United States, the interest in EHR systems have been increased in the field of medical industry. The passage of the ARRA presents a program that provides incentives to office-based physicians and hospitals adapting the EHR systems to guarantee interoperability with various medical standards. Thanks to the incentive program, a great number of EHR systems have been developed and lots of office-based physicians and hospitals have adapted the EHR systems certified by CCHIT. Keeping pace with the rapid changes in the market of healthcare, some enterprises try to push in to the United States healthcare market based on the experience acquired by developing EHR systems for hospitals in Korea. However, the developed system must be customized because of the different medical environment between Korea and the United States. In this paper, therefore, we design and develop an integrated EHR platform to guarantee the interoperability between different medical information systems based on medical standard technologies. In the developed platform, an integrated system has been composed by integrating various basic techniques such as data transmission standards and its methods, medical standard terminologies and its usage, and knowledge management for medical decision-making support. Moreover, medical data can be processed electronically by adapting an HL7 interface engine and the terminologies for exchanging medical information and the standardization of medical information. We develop SeniCare, an EHR system for supporting ambulatory care of the office-based physicians, based on the platform, and we verify the usability of the platform by confirming whether SeniCare satisfies the criteria of "meaningful use" issued by CMS or not.
In 2015, Summits of State and Government at United Nations General Assembly agreed to set the world on a path towards Sustainable Development(SD) through the adoption of the 2030 Agenda. 2030 Agenda adopts 17 Sustainable Development Gooals(SDG) to achieve 3 pillars of social security, economic efficiency and environmental integrity. Sustainable Development Indicators(SDI) which are suggested by UN SDSN(United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network), have been developed for measuring SDG implementation, by which Sustainability Assessment(SA) can be accomplished to check through more holistic approaches to poverty alleviation, social inclusion and environmental management. In Korea, Strategic Environmental Impact Assessment(SEIA) has been applied to PPP(policy, plan, program) by 'Ministry of Environment', whereas 'National Land Planning Assessment(NLPA) which is one sort of SEA has been implemented to evaluate PPP of Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport'. Although SEIA and NLPA have been utilized as decision-making support tools for stakeholders including high authorities, the reference criteria of these institutions are not considered as convincible and communicable. Evaluation criteria of alternatives which are core principles for SEIA and NLPA seem so ambiguous and unscientific. Through incorporation of SDI into SEIA, a convenient, quick and credible diagnosis of the key dimensions of SD comprising social equity, economic development and environmental management, can help develop a shared understanding of priorities of implementation of SDG.
The purpose of this study is to analyze factors for resolving problems of Jejusi Residential Parking Permit Program and to draw up a plan by examining Jejusi case. This program was started by way of showing an example in October, 2005, and then has been put in practice in the heart of Jejusi since October, 2007. Jejusi government introduced this system to prevent all kinds of accidents by the indiscreet parking near the residental street and to guarantee the rights to live comfortably by encouraging a pleasant parking environment. As the result of the survey which is about residents' participation from the process of decision-making, the answers such as "Should Participate" and "Surely should participate" are at the high rate of 87.5 percent. A matter of the utmost importance is that this system should be reformed to make the visitors pay parking if they want to park near there. Almost 36 percent of the respondents have a negative opinion, and this is because they consider their visitors. Especially the important factors from the Logistic Regression Analysis are that the government should exercise stricter control over illegal parking, that the system should be improved for the visitors to pay parking, and that the government should support the declining sales of the shops near shopping streets. The suggestions are as follows. First, the government should enforce on reducing the illegal parking. Second, they should secure the parking lots for visitors. Third, they should minimize the impact on the declining sales of the shops near shopping streets.

GIS has been building for various application fields with the aids of NGIS project, especially numerous municipal governments are building a UIS in the level of local governments' informatization. Although there are some difference between municipal governments' business, still many things are in common. So far, individual municipal governments have developed a UIS for their own use, which lead to duplicated development of the UIS. The component technology has been introduced to remove such duplicated efforts and it enabled maximizing the reusablilty of the UIS already developed. This paper proposes a component design for network analysis of the drinking water to calculate the amount of flow and the head loss. This component design provides the initial water amount to estimate the amount of the network flow and the head loss, thereby supports the decision making such as installation or extension of the pipe network. The process of the component design accompanies the business reengineering to support the standardized business work flow. Also, the design of the network analysis component uses the algorithms induced with UML specification. Based on the component design, the component development has been progressing and the network analysis system would be followed. In the near future, another component to integrate the network analysis and the business related to the drinking water needs to be developed.
Vehicle platooning through wireless communication and automated driving technology has become realized. Platooning is a technique in which several vehicles travel at regular intervals while maintaining a minimum safety distance. Truck platooning is of keen interest because it contributes to preventing truck crashes and reducing vehicle emissions, in addition to the increase in truck flow capacity. However, it should be noted that interactions between vehicle platoons and adjacent manually-driven vehicles (MV) significantly give an impact on the performance of traffic flow. In particular, when vehicles entering from on-ramp attempt to merge into the mainstream of freeway, proper interactions by adjusting platoon size and inter-platoon spacing are required to maximize traffic performance. This study developed a methodology for establishing operational strategies for truck platoonings on freeway on-ramp areas. Average speed and conflict rate were used as measure of effectiveness (MOE) to evaluate operational efficiency and safety. Microscopic traffic simulation experiments using VISSIM were conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of various platooning scenarios. A decision making process for selecting better platoon operations to satisfy operations and safety requirements was proposed. It was revealed that a platoon operating scenario with 50m inter-platoon spacing and the platoon consisting of 6 vehicles outperformed other scenarios. The proposed methodology would effectively support the realization of novel traffic management concepts in the era of automated driving environments.

Purpose: This correlation study was performed to examine Korean adults' perceptions and attitudes towards death with dignity and the withdrawal of life sustaining treatment and to identify factors that predict their attitude towards death with dignity. Methods: The study was conducted using convenience sampling of 291 adults from three towns of a metropolitan city in Korea. Data were collected using structured questionnaires which surveyed people's perception about and attitudes towards withdrawal of life sustaining treatment and scaled their attitude towards death with dignity. Data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficients and multiple regression. Results: The attitude towards the withdrawal of life sustaining treatment and death with dignity showed a significant positive correlation (r=0.49, P<0.001). For attitudes towards death with dignity, significant predictors were attitudes towards the withdrawal of life sustaining treatment, age, religion, a proper withdrawal process and advanced medical directives, which explained 49.3% of total variance. Conclusion: The results of this study may contribute to development of a new medical decision-making system including nurses' appropriate roles in the process of withdrawing life sustaining treatment and advanced medical directives.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the feasibility of field operation protocol for cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR) in person with non-traumatic arrest. This study was performed from May 1 through June 27, 2008, and subjects were 150 students who are attending the department of Emergency Medical Service in J and K universities which located in Jeollabuk-do and Jeollanam-do areas. Practical conformance was verified using by nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. This study divided into two groups; experimental group that employed field operation protocol and control group that applied conventional CPR protocol, and comparative analyzed statistically the necessary time of the items of each protocol. The results indicated that each performance time of 18 items was reduced over 3 seconds except 5 items(assessment of consciousness, airway control, two times of artificial respiration, check of circulation, and five cycles of CPR). And time of 6 items(intubation, peripheral intravenous line, reassessment of consciousness, pupil reaction, carotid artery pulse, and vital sign) was minimized more than 60 seconds, and total performing time was shortened 110.85 seconds. The results suggested that total performing time in pre and post test where the protocol was applied for two groups showed a statistically significant decrease(t=-6.580, p=.000). Consequently, field operation protocol for cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR) in person with non-traumatic arrest will be a available manual which support prompt and accurate decision making, and improve emergency medical service.
