Potential of Helicopter MRO Business (헬기 MRO 비즈니스의 잠재력)

  • Since the global economic crisis in year 2008, the world civil helicopter market has been growing recently. According to the market outlook in the next decade, the demand of civil helicopter will be driven by the demand of Private & Corporate, Oil & Gas, Off-shore and EMS(Emergency Medical Service) usages. On the other side, the demand of military market will be driven by the modification and upgrading for life extension or performance enhancement than the new helicopter development for replacing old models. To summarize these situations, the demand of MRO(Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) market has also been on the rise because of the demand due to above several usages in civil side and the life-extension in military side. Through the MRO market analysis for characteristics, developmental trends and a supply chain, this paper describes that the potential of MRO business is considerably large as a propulsive power of domestic helicopter industry. And also, it proposes the construction direction of MRO network because the domestic industry must make the developmental awareness and reliability a stepping-stone towards own helicopter.

Experimental Study on Ventilation Efficiency of Leakage Gas Based on Supply and Exhaust Vent Location (밀폐공간에서 급·배기구 위치에 따른 누출 가스의 환기효과에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • Climate change is currently one of the most pressing environmental issues, primarily caused by carbon emissions from fossil fuel usage. As a result, alternative fuels that effectively reduce carbon emissions are garnering more attention. Among these alternatives, hydrogen has numerous advantages, such as its ability for large-scale storage and transport. However, it is crucial to prioritize safety measures, particularly in facilities that handle hydrogen, due to its highly flammable and fast-spreading nature. This study aims to compare and analyze the placement of supply and exhaust vents to efficiently release hydrogen in the event of a leak in an enclosed space. The experiments involved six different scenarios, each with various combinations of supply and exhaust vents. To ensure the experimental process's safety, helium, which shares similar physical properties with hydrogen, was used to analyze the internal oxygen concentration during ventilation system operations. The results revealed that among the six scenarios, Case 2, which employed a lower side supply vent and an upper side exhaust vent, exhibited the shortest ventilation time of 4 minutes and 30 seconds. Additionally, the decrease rate in oxygen concentration was examined in the upper, middle, and lower areas. Ventilation utilizing an upper surface supply vent and two exhaust vents on the upper surface and upper side (Case 6), showed lower oxygen concentration values in the upper area, while Case 2 yielded lower values in the middle and lower areas. Therefore, it is crucial to select an appropriate supply and exhaust vent configuration considering the space's characteristics and usage environment.

Analysis of the Magnetic Field Distribution and the Current Characteristics of Rotating Type Low Tc Superconducting Power Supply (회전자속형 초전도 전원장치의 박막상에서의 2차원 자장분포 및 전류 특성 해석)

  • By computer simulation, the pattern of magnetic field distribution on the Nb-foil of a rotating flux type superconducting power supply has been calculated. Using the results, the current pumping rate has been calculated and compared with the results obtained by the experiment. The experiment has been executed with small-size flux-rump in the environment of LN2 and LHe in order to compare the pattern of magnetic filed in the superconducting state and in the normal state. Five hall-sensor was located on the center, right side, left-side, upper side, lower side of the Nb-foil in order to obtain more accurate pattern of the magnetic field generated by rotating pole. In the simulation, the effects of the excitation-magnet and the iron core located at the inner-side and circumference of the magnet have been considered. By comparing the data from the experiment and the results from the simulation, the size of normal spot estimated. At the same time, by calculating the linkage flux, the current-pumping-rate has been obtained. Consequently, the results obtained from experiment and simulation coincided as expected.

A Plan of Efficiency of Human Resource Policy for Small-Medium Enterprises in Regional Strategic Industry (지역전략산업 연계 중소기업지원 인력양성정책의 효율화 방안)

  • In this study, We found approach to improve the efficiency of human resource policies for small-medium enterprises(SMEs) in the regional strategic industries. Especially, we intended to identify practical and policy implications, through analyzing to the supply and demand side of human resource at the same time. In the supply side, we analyzed workers, supply, and support policy in regional strategic industry. In the demand side, we analyzed the demands from 201 SMEs in regional strategic industry. We found the demand differences in strategic industries. we found the efficiency improvement and directions of human resource policies. Thus, these results imply the necessity of creating a customizing policy for SMEs. In conclusion, the human resource policy should be reflected the central government's policy direction and the demands of SMEs.

Actual Energy Consumption Analysis on Temperature Control Strategies (Set-point Control, Outdoor Temperature Reset Control and Outdoor Temperature Predictive Control) of Secondary Side Hot Water of District Heating System (지역난방 2차측 공급수 온도 제어방안(설정온도 제어, 외기온 보상제어, 외기온 예측제어)에 따른 에너지사용량 실증 비교)

  • In this study, the actual energy consumption of the secondary side of District Heating System (DHS) with different hot water supply temperature control methods are compared. Three methods are Set-point Control, Outdoor Temperature Reset Control and Outdoor Temperature Prediction Control. While Outdoor Temperature Reset Control has been widely used for energy savings of the secondary side of the system, the results show that Outdoor Temperature Prediction Control method saves more energy. In general, Outdoor Temperature Prediction Control method lowers the supply temperature of hot water, and it reduces standby losses and increases overall heat transfer value of heated spaces due to more flow into the space. During actual energy consumption monitoring, Outdoor Temperature Prediction Control method saves about 7.1% in comparison to Outdoor Temperature Reset Control method and about 15.7% in comparison to Set-point Control method. Also, it is found that at when partial load condition, such as daytime, the fluctuation of hot water supply temperature with Set-point Control is more severe than Outdoor Temperature Prediction Control. Therefore, it proves that Outdoor Temperature Prediction Control is more stable even at the partial load conditions.

  • This paper proposes an AC Chopper based DC power supply for specific DC voltage ranges. AC chopper is attached to the input side of PFC to generate specific ranges of DC voltage which are not available with PFC itself alone. The input power factor of the proposed DC power supply is proportional to that of PFC. Performance of the proposed power supply was verified by carrying out simulations.

  • The purpose of this paper is to measure the impact of the recent Korea-Japan trade dispute on the Korean economy using supply-driven input-output analysis. In July 2019, Japan announced the decision to tighten the export control of three materials which are indispensable in the manufacturing of semiconductors and electronic display panels. Japan's decision directly affects production in Korea's semiconductor and display sectors and is hence not a demand shock. For this reason, a standard demand-driven input-output analysis is not valid despite the fact that it can still be applied. The impact of Japan's decision on Korea's aggregate and individual sectors' gross output, GDP and employment were computed using both methods.

  • AS a main Power Supply of the Railroad Vehicles, a three-Level ZVZCS DC/DC Converter is proposed in this paper. The proposed three-Level DC/DC Converter achieves zero voltage and zero current switching for the main switches. Its attribute is that the voltage across the switches is half the value of the input voltage. Also. using a diode and secondary side of the transformer, and simple auxiliary circuits it achieves zero current switching of the auxiliary switches. The principle operation and simulation results are included.

A Geographic Information System-Based Analysis for the Supply-Side Policy of Dental Hygienists in South Korea (치과위생사 인력수급현황 분석을 위한 지리정보체계의 활용)

  • The objective of this research is to analyze geographical distribution of Korean dental hygienists to provide the geographical basis of supply-side policy for dental hygienists from the perspective of dental geography by using Geographic Information System (GIS) in which the choropleth map has been regarded as the most popular method. The present report is highly meaningful for the policy of dental hygienist on the supply side of dental care market. The data used in the article derive from the statistics-associated portal site provided by Korean government. It includes the statistics on general population, the regional numbers of dental hygiene students, county-based numbers of registered dental hygienists, dentists, and dental clinics and hospitals. Several maps are created by investigating these statistical data with GIS. This study is focused on the comparative analysis between entrants to the department of dental hygiene, registered acting dental hygienists and dentists in terms of county-based distribution per its population. The main result demonstrates that whereas about half of dental hygienists and dentists are respectively concentrated in Seoul and Gyung-gi, just one-fifth of entrants to the department of dental hygiene in the Seoul-metropolitan area. From the perspective of the supply-side policy of dental hygienists, the research argues that the creation or expansion of the department of dental hygiene does not directly meet social need for dental care services.

  • This study proposes a technology valuation model applicable for technology transfer or transaction, based on the review of theoretical models and practical applications. The model analyzes individual technologies that can be transacted as economic goods in terms of intellectual properties as subjects of transaction. The valuation of technology for transfer or transaction needs to be performed in view of demand side rather than supply side. This study suggests a successive approximation method in order to evaluate value of technologies quantitatively
