  • Successful opening and operating of High Speed Rail in South Korea make the Korean railway industry the world's five great powers. It provides an opportunity to enter overseas rail industry to the related companies actively. Lastly developing countries want to learn about Korea's development experience and apply to there country. Also development cooperation needs are increasing. The State Brand Committee is promoting the 'Hangeul advocacy and globalization' which is expanding technology to the overseas that can be grafted in the Korean railway system as well as contributing to the globalization policies. Korea Railroad Corporation can enhance the national brand and rise of the Name value simultaneously by disseminating of operation technology. It would be a worthy project. In this study, effective support for developing strategic partnerships with the developing countries can build a future of growth. And let me introduce strategic model for overseas business expansion that is combined the railway industry and the Korean.

The Structure Model of Service Performance Influence in Knowledge Based Service Business

  • This study is attempted to demonstrate the structure of the influencing factors on the performance of services of knowledge based service firms. In the model presented, the structure is that service performance in knowledge-based services are affected by the strategic utilization of knowledge resources and service orientation factors of the service organization. And the service performance are also affected in which the systemization of service processes and customer satisfaction play a mediating role. As an analysis result of examining 148 practitioners engaged in the knowledge service industry, it is necessary to increase the satisfaction of external customers in order to improve service performance in a knowledge-based service organizations. This can be achieved by increasing the satisfaction of internal customers. In addition, for this structure to be successful, the service production process to be provided to the customer must be enhanced. The service production process has been found to be an important factor influencing the internal customer satisfaction and service delivery process, especially in the use of knowledge resource, and customer oriented service among service orientation factors.

Unveiling the Effects of ICT Adoption in the Apparel Sector of Bangladesh Based on Technology-Organization-Environment Framework

  • The study is based on the technology-organization-environment (TOE) model which, attempted to determine the factors that are going to influence ICT adoption. The proposed research model evaluates the interplay among technological context (IT infrastructure, system security, and user capacity), organizational context (top management commitment, and innovations strategies), environmental context (quick response to the external agencies, interactive network infrastructure, and competitive pressure) and ICT adoption (productivity growth, organizational change, and competitiveness). Data were collected from 243 senior executives of full member firms of the Bangladesh Garments and Manufacturers Association (BGMEA) of examining the relationships among the constructs in the proposed framework utilizing structural equation modeling (SEM). The analysis of TOE factors revealed that environmental, organizational, and technological factors have a significant impact on the successful implementation of ICT tools. The study also discusses implications for management practitioners.

The Effects of Entrepreneurial Intention on Planned Happenstance Skill of Career-Breaking Women: Focusing on Moderating Effects of Successful Role Models and Social Support Forces (경력단절여성의 계획된 우연역량이 창업의지에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구: 개인 환경요인의 조절효과를 중심으로)

  • Recently, Start-ups has been emphasized as part of a career-breaking women returning to society policy. To this Policy, the relationship between the planned happenstance skills and the entrepreneurial intentions of a career-breaking woman was investigated, and the successful role model as an individual environmental factor and the moderating effect of social support forces was verified. The results of the survey analysis of 139 women who have experienced career cut-offs in the metropolitan area and Dae-gu and Gyeong-buk are as follows; First, the planned happenstance skills of career-breaking women affect a positive effect on the entrepreneurial intentions. Second, it was found that the moderating effect of the successful role model does not appear in the relationship between the planned happenstance skills of a career-breaking woman and the entrepreneurial intentions. Third, it was found that there was no moderating effect of the social support forces in the relationship between the planned happenstance skills and the entrepreneurial intentions of a career-breaking woman. Last, It was found that the entrepreneurial intentions, which is a personal psychological characteristic for career-breaking women is more directly affected than personal environments. In order to increase career-breaking women's the entrepreneurial intentions, it is necessary to develop psychological skill-building programs which can enhance the accessibility of start-ups and raise the perception of Start-ups. In addition, it is necessary to continuously expand exposure opportunities such as role models and success stories which succeeded in starting a business after a career break and to expand social support forces that can help with courage, advice, and change management to discover opportunities of start-ups.

An Evaluation Model of IT PMO Performance Using Pentagon Model (Pentagon Model을 활용한 정보화 프로젝트 PMO의 성과평가 모형 제시)

  • Precedent studies revealed that success of IT project strongly depends on the competency of PMO(project management offices), however, there are only few studies which show the importance of PMO competency. In this study, we will suggest an evaluation model of IT PMO competency using the Pentagon Model which is a tool to assess the performance of project organization, and the Analytic Hierarchy Process. We classified effect factor of PMO competency into 25 items in 5 fields such as Structure, Technology, Culture, Interaction, Social Relations and Networks based on pentagon model, also analysis of criticality between the effect factors was conducted by AHP. The study result shows 3 factors of Structure were included in the top 10, while 2 factors of Technology, Culture, Interaction were included separately. In terms of Social Relations and Networks, only 1 factor was included in the top 10. Therefore Structure of PMO should be aggressively considered for the successful IT project.

A Dynamic Approach to Understanding Business Performance

  • Purpose: This study's objective is to examine the impact of firm-specific and macroeconomic factors on the business performance of non-cyclical and cyclical sectors in Indonesian listed firms. The evaluation of business performance holds paramount importance for the achievement and long-term viability of a company. Research Design Data and Methodology: The data for 61 non-cyclicals sector companies and 57 cyclicals sector companies was gathered over a 4-year period from 2018-2021. The model integrates firm size, leverage, and sales growth as firm-specific factors, with real GDP growth and inflation rate as macroeconomic variables. ROA and ROE are indicators of a firm's business performance. The regression models are estimated using the distribution of a dynamic approach with Arellano-Bond Panel Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) estimation. Results: The results of the pooled sample indicate that the historical ROA and ROE have a positive relationship with the business performance of all sectors, including both non-cyclical and cyclical industries. The ROE of non-cyclical enterprises is primarily influenced by firm-specific characteristics and macroeconomic influences. Conclusion: To ensure the successful implementation of the distribution of a dynamic approach towards enhancing corporate business performance, organizations need to take into account a combination of firm-specific factors and macroeconomic factors.

Robust Parameter Design via Taguchi's Approach and Neural Network

  • The parameter design is the most emphasized measure by researchers for a new products development. It is critical for makers to achieve simultaneously in both the time-to-market production and the quality enhancement. However, there are difficulties in practical application, such as (1) complexity and nonlinear relationships co-existed among the system's inputs, outputs and control parameters, (2) interactions occurred among parameters, (3) where the adjustment factors of Taguchi's two-phase optimization procedure cannot be sure to exist in practice, and (4) for some reasons, the data became lost or were never available. For these incomplete data, the Taguchi methods cannot treat them well. Neural networks have a learning capability of fault tolerance and model free characteristics. These characteristics support the neural networks as a competitive tool in processing multivariable input-output implementation. The successful fields include diagnostics, robotics, scheduling, decision-making, prediction, etc. This research is a case study of spherical annealing model. In the beginning, an original model is used to pre-fix a model of parameter design. Then neural networks are introduced to achieve another model. Study results showed both of them could perform the highest spherical level of quality.

Default Prediction of Automobile Credit Based on Support Vector Machine

  • Automobile credit business has developed rapidly in recent years, and corresponding default phenomena occur frequently. Credit default will bring great losses to automobile financial institutions. Therefore, the successful prediction of automobile credit default is of great significance. Firstly, the missing values are deleted, then the random forest is used for feature selection, and then the sample data are randomly grouped. Finally, six prediction models of support vector machine (SVM), random forest and k-nearest neighbor (KNN), logistic, decision tree, and artificial neural network (ANN) are constructed. The results show that these six machine learning models can be used to predict the default of automobile credit. Among these six models, the accuracy of decision tree is 0.79, which is the highest, but the comprehensive performance of SVM is the best. And random grouping can improve the efficiency of model operation to a certain extent, especially SVM.

  • Domestic franchise industry is a promising business to more than 10% per year growth rate and emerging as core of retail. In addition, due to the socio-cultural phenomena, including the retirement of the baby-boom generation, the growth of the franchise industry for some time expected to continue. But Domestic franchise reveals that limits to ensure for new franchisees because that few industries are concentrated to advance for franchisor and franchisees. Franchisors that within the industry came to a saturated, are for the growth and expansion of business into new industries to deploy as second, third brand. But reality is that the more success rather than failure. Therefore, in this study is a new brand development approach and case study results it focus on the BEERBARKET's successful story of INTO FRANCHISE SYSTEMS, INC. Case analysis results of this study, are reveled that franchise headquarters derived through research methods and research information, environmental survey and analysis should be continuously and objectively. Thus, based on the derived contents, the new brand Biz-Model should be established for recognition from the industry and customers. Ability to respond sensitively to changes in the environment and business activities can be associated with linking franchise headquarters belonging to the saturated competitive environment more is needed.
