  • In this paper, the circuit models of optical to electrical(O/E) characteristics of waveguide photodiode(WGPD) submodule are examined. Test structures of WGPD and WGPD submodule were fabricated and S21 parameter was measured to characterize the O/E conversion property. Valid circuit models were derived by RF circuit simulation and O/E characteristics were modeled to analyze the effects of model parameters on the WGPD submodule performances. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the suggested WGPD submodule model can explain the characteristics of the O/E conversion of WGPD submodule, where the parasitic components originated from ribbon bonding block crucially influence on the performance of WGPD submodule, are able to show more efficient property by making compact bonding structure. We propose an effective WGPD submodule bonding structure and it can ensure the 40Gbps operation of WGPD.

  • In this paper, the structure of e-local modules and classes of modules via essentially small are investigated. We show that the following conditions are equivalent for a module M: (1) M is e-local; (2) $Rad_e(M)$ is a maximal submodule of M and every proper essential submodule of M is contained in a maximal submodule; (3) M has a unique essential maximal submodule and every proper essential submodule of M is contained in a maximal submodule.

  • In this paper, all rings are commutative with nonzero identity. Let M be an R-module. A proper submodule N of M is called a classical prime submodule, if for each $m{\in}M$ and elements a, $b{\in}R$, $abm{\in}N$ implies that $am{\in}N$ or $bm{\in}N$. We introduce the concept of "weakly classical prime submodules" and we will show that this class of submodules enjoys many properties of weakly 2-absorbing ideals of commutative rings. A proper submodule N of M is a weakly classical prime submodule if whenever $a,b{\in}R$ and $m{\in}M$ with $0{\neq}abm{\in}N$, then $am{\in}N$ or $bm{\in}N$.

  • This paper is devoted to study the divisorial submodules. We get some equivalent conditions for a submodule to be a divisorial submodule. Also we get equivalent conditions for $(N{\cap}L)^{-1}$ to be a ring, where N, L are submodules of a module M.

  • In this paper we give a full characterization of prime submodules of a finitely generated projective module M over a commutative ring R with identity. Also we study the existence of primary decomposition of a submodule of a finitely generated projective module and characterize the minimal primary decomposition of this submodule. Finally, we characterize the radical of an arbitrary submodule of a finitely generated projective module M and study submodules of M which satisfy the radical formula.

  • Most of the research on weakly prime and weakly 2-absorbing modules is for modules over commutative rings. Only scatterd results about these notions with regard to non-commutative rings are available. The motivation of this paper is to show that many results for the commutative case also hold in the non-commutative case. Let R be a non-commutative ring with identity. We define the notions of a weakly prime and a weakly 2-absorbing submodules of R and show that in the case that R commutative, the definition of a weakly 2-absorbing submodule coincides with the original definition of A. Darani and F. Soheilnia. We give an example to show that in general these two notions are different. The notion of a weakly m-system is introduced and the weakly prime radical is characterized interms of weakly m-systems. Many properties of weakly prime submodules and weakly 2-absorbing submodules are proved which are similar to the results for commutative rings. Amongst these results we show that for a proper submodule Ni of an Ri-module Mi, for i = 1, 2, if N1 × N2 is a weakly 2-absorbing submodule of M1 × M2, then Ni is a weakly 2-absorbing submodule of Mi for i = 1, 2

  • Let R be a commutative ring with 1 ≠ 0, n be a positive integer and M be an R-module. In this paper, we introduce the concept of weakly quasi n-absorbing submodule which is a proper generalization of quasi n-absorbing submodule. We define a proper submodule N of M to be a weakly quasi n-absorbing submodule if whenever a ∈ R and x ∈ M with 0 ≠ an x ∈ N, then an ∈ (N :R M) or an-1 x ∈ N. We study the basic properties of this notion and establish several characterizations.

  • Let R be a commutative ring with identity and M be a unitary R-module. A submodule N of M is called a dense submodule if $Hom_R(M/N,\;E_R(M))=0$, where $E_R(M)$ is the injective hull of M. The R-module M is said to be monoform if any nonzero submodule of M is a dense submodule. In this paper, among the other results, it is shown that any kind of the following module is monoform. (1) The prime R-module M such that for any nonzero submodule N of M, $Ann_R(M/N){\neq}Ann_R(M)$. (2) Strongly prime R-module. (3) Faithful multiplication module over an integral domain.

  • Assume that M is an R-module where R is a commutative ring. A proper submodule N of M is called a weakly 2-absorbing primary submodule of M if $0{\neq}abm{\in}N$ for any $a,b{\in}R$ and $m{\in}M$, then $ab{\in}(N:M)$ or $am{\in}M-rad(N)$ or $bm{\in}M-rad(N)$. In this paper, we extended the concept of weakly 2-absorbing primary ideals of commutative rings to weakly 2-absorbing primary submodules of modules. Among many results, we show that if N is a weakly 2-absorbing primary submodule of M and it satisfies certain condition $0{\neq}I_1I_2K{\subseteq}N$ for some ideals $I_1$, $I_2$ of R and submodule K of M, then $I_1I_2{\subseteq}(N:M)$ or $I_1K{\subseteq}M-rad(N)$ or $I_2K{\subseteq}M-rad(N)$.

  • In this paper, we introduced and studied sa-supplement submodules. A submodule U of a module V is called an sa-supplement submodule in V if there exists a submodule T of V such that V = T + U and U ∩ T is semiartinian. The class of sa-supplement sequences is a proper class which is generated by socle-free modules injectively. We studied modules that have an sa-supplement in every extension, modules whose all submodules are sa-supplement and modules whose all sa-supplement submodules are direct summand. We provided new characterizations of right semiartinian rings and right SSI rings.
