This study attempted to increase quality of nursing care by assessing the nurses' attitudes for computerization in nursing practice and ensuring right recognition and attitude for computerized system. Study subjects are 311 nurses who are working at 4 general hospitals. Those hospitals are selected according to the degree of computerized in Kyoung In Province. Study instrument consists of 20 items and 12 general questionnaire which was developed by Brodt and Stronge(1985) and modified by Lee(1991). Data collection was done from april 19th in 1995 to april 29th. Data gathered were analized number, t-test, ANOVA by using SPSS. The study results are as follows : 1. Study subject's attitude for computer application showed positive response as mean score of 3.44 especially nurses who had experience using computer showed 100% pro-response. 2. Study subject's attitude by age was significant statistically(F=3.9589, p=.0038), among them age 25-30 revealed the highest positive scores, and age 40 showed the lowest positive scores. 3. Study subject's attitude by education level showed no significant difference(F=1.4182, 2437), and those who are more educated showed more positive response. 4. Study subject's attitude by duty years showed no significant difference(F=2.2648, p=.0622), and those who had 7- 9 duty years had the highest positive attitude however those who have 10 duty years showed lowest positive attitude. 5. Study subject's attitude by position revealed no significant difference(F=2.0017, p=.1369), and the charge nurse groups who were using computer showed the highest scores. 6. Study subject's attitude by computerized type showed significant difference(F=23.9665, p=.0000), and G hospital which had computer system in nursing area obtained the highest positive scores. 7. study subject's attitude by presence of computer education showed no significant differenec(F=.9002, P=.3435), and non computer educated groups showed the highest positive response. 8. Study subject's attitude by computer education place revealed no significant difference(F=4.3723, p=.0020). and the groups who were taught individually or in the institution obtained the highest positive scores. 9. Study subject's attitude by duty year computer use showed no significant response(F=.9591, P=.3282), and groups of computer use showed the high degree of positive response. 10. Study subject's attitude by duty year using computer showed significant difference(F=5.9174, p=.0009),and the groups using computer for 6 years or group of 4-6 years showed the highest degree of positive response and the groups using computer for 1 year showed the lowest degree of positive response.
As society has changed, the demand for improved health care has increased. To keep up with this type of social need, professional nursing care is seeking to efficiently satisfy the care needs of human beings. The goal of clinical nurse is to meet nursing care needs of patients. This study was designed to survey attitudes of nursing profession of clinical nurses. The following specific 5 objectives were investigated and the attitudes of clinical nurses were determined. 1. The social position of nursing as a profession. 2. Factors influencing the development of nursing. 3. The future of nursing. 4. Their work. 5. Job satisfaction. The subjects consisted of 120 nurses who are working at 5 general hospital over 150 beds Ill CHONG NAM. The nurses were surveyed by means of a questionnaire from May 24 to Jun 15, 1992. The tool used for this study was based on earlier work by Lee, Nam Hi(1978) and Kim, Myong Hee(1984). Computer was used for Data Analysis. Frequency and Percentage were used to examine the genera] characteristics of the subjects. ANOV A and t.test were used to test the relation in characteristics of the subjects and attitudes Loward nursing prfession. The finding of this study were as follows; 1. Social position of nursing as a profession; The response with the highest agreement was "The professional nursing organization is less power. ful than the other professional organization" 3.333 points, and the response with the lowest agreement was "Nursing get a big salary" 2.225 points. 2. Factors influencing the development of nursing; the response with the highest agreement was "Hospital environment should be improved" 4.267 points, and the response with the lowest agreement was "Nurses satisfaction with salary"2.175 points. 3. The future of nursing; the response with the highest agreement was "Along the deveiopmem of science technique will be elevated educational state and graduate to needed in nursing" 3.958 points, and showed generally positive response toward the future of nursing. 4. Their work; the response with the highest agreement was "Work loading due to nursing staff insufficient" 4. 308 points, the response with the lowest agreement was "Nurses are unkind to patient" 2.508 points. 5. The subject's view regarding job satisfaction;it showed that "Interpersonal nursing staffs" 3.508 points, showed generally unsatisfactory response toward job satisfaction. 6. The relationship between the subject's attitudes toward professional nursing and general characteristics showed a significant difference statistically in regard to the field of work(P<.05). 7. The relationship between general characteristics and the subject's attitudes toward factors influencing the development of nursing showed a significant difference statistically in regard to the age and the status of position(P<.05). The subject's attitude toward the future of nursing showed a significant difference statistically in regard to the age and the period of nursing career and the field of work(P<.05, P<.005). The subject's attitude toward the job satisfaction showed a significant difference statistically in regard to the age and the period of nursing career and the status of position and the field of work(P<.005).
As a step preliminary to the factor-analysis of a child-rearing attitude scale under construction, its preliminary form containing a total of 368 self-answered questions was administerd to 88 married women with one or more children in the grade school age. all graduates of colleges and in possession of a home telephone and a house, twice from one week apart. The test-retest correlation coefficients, calculated for each test item based on the subject's choice among the three response alternatives on two test ocasions, ranged from .80 to .10. The cut-off point of r=.41 or lower led to the elimination of 48 items. As a point of incidental interest, the rate of response concordance. The namber of subjects giving the same categroy response on two occasions was calculated for each item and it was correlated with its test. retest correlation coefficient. The two different indices of item test-retest reliability were found not related to each other. Empirical evidence, as well as rational justifications, was presented to show that the correlation coefficient is the better of the tow indices of item test-retest reliability.

Thin, high-strength steel roof cladding is widely used in residential and industrial low-rise buildings and is susceptible to failure during severe wind storms such as cyclones. Current cladding design is heavily reliant on experimental testing for the determination of roof cladding performance. Further study is necessary to evolve current design standards, and numerical modelling of roof cladding can provide an efficient and cost effective means of studying the response of cladding in great detail. This paper details the development of a numerical model that can simulate the static response of corrugated roof cladding. Finite element analysis (FEA) was utilised to determine the response of corrugated cladding subject to a static wind pressure, which included the anisotropic material properties and strain-hardening characteristics of the thin steel roof cladding. The model was then validated by comparing the numerical data with corresponding experimental test results. Based on this comparison, the model was found to successfully predict the fastener reaction, deflection and the characteristics in deformed shape of the cladding. The validated numerical model was then used to predict the response of the cladding subject to a design cyclone pressure trace, excluding fatigue effects, to demonstrate the potential of the model to investigate more complicated loading circumstances.

This paper adopts the psychoacoustical methodology to evaluate the acoustical qualities of rooms and describes some of the results of an attempt to develop such a test. In order to investigate the effect of hall response to subjects, a subjective experiment was performed in artificially simulated sound fields. Pairs of sounds having differences in duration/frequency were presented to a subject and the subject's responses were recorded. The stimuli were varied through an auralization system that simulates three different rooms. It was found that duration/frequency discrimination is influenced by the room conditions and that these discrimination procedures may form the basis for assessment of room acoustics.

This paper continues companion paper, part I : measurement and analysis. As shown in companion Paper, information and energy in monaural signal is quite different from that of binaural signal. In this paper, difference between monaural and binaural signal of transportation noise are investigated in subjective response test. We executed hearing screening test before giving a subject response test and excluded subjects who had physical hearing loss. An annoyance response test was conducted using headphone to avoid cross-talk effect in binaural testing. Percentage of highly annoyed under binaural signal reproduction is higher than percentage of highly annoyed under monaural signal reproduction. Result implies binaural reproduction technique is proper for a study of human response to short-term noise exposure in a headphone simulated-environment.
Purpose: Purpose of this study was to examine the effects of the Mindfulness Meditation program on perceived stress, ways of coping, salivary cortisol level, and psychological stress response in patients with breast cancer. Methods: This was a quasiexperimental study with a non-equivalent control group pre-post test design. Participants in this study were 50 patients who had completed breast cancer treatment (experimental group, 25, control group, 25). The experimental group received the Mindfulness Meditation program for 3 hours/session/ week for 8 weeks. Data were analyzed using $X^2$-test and t-test for subject homogeneity verification, and ANCOVA to examine the hypotheses. Results: The experimental group had significantly lower scores for perceived stress, emotional focused coping, salivary cortisol level, and psychological stress response compared to the control group. However, no significant differences were found between two groups for the scores on problem focused stress coping. Conclusion: According to the results, the Mindfulness Meditation program was useful for decreasing perceived stress, emotional focused coping, salivary cortisol level, and psychological stress response. Therefore, this program is an effective nursing intervention to decrease stress in patients with breast cancer.

Although a number of neck injuries are generated, the data which quantify the kinematic response of the human head and cervical spine in low-speed rear-end automobile collisions is very limited. On this problem, just few in vitro experimental research or some experimental research using dummy on neck injury by rear-end collision was conducted, thus systematic research is requested on full scale injury mechanism. An occupant model for the response of the occupant subject to rear-end collision using commercial dynamics package DADS was developed. Developed model shows more close agreement with the experimental data compared with the MADYMO simulation results for the cases of ${\delta}V=16$ kph in sled test. For the case of ${\delta}V=8$ kph and 33.5 kph with production seat, model also shows its reliable response compared with experimental results using Hybrid III and Hybird III with RID.

To investigate the effect of cooking form of rice and barley on postprandial serum glucose and insulin response in normal subject, five test carbohydrates calculated to contain 50g of glucose were consumed. Oral ingestions were divided into 5 group, i. e. dextrose(control), ground white rice, ground barley, whole white rice, whole barley, Postprandial glucose and insulin responses were measured over 3hr and showed the following pattern. Dextrose and ground white rice elicited similar postprandial serum glucose and insulin responses whereas ground barley and whole white rice intemediate, whole barley gave the lowest responses in the test group. The ground form of rice and barley were significantly higher responses than the unground form of those as well as whole white rice were higher responses whole barley, The results suggested that the cooking form of rice and barley was an important determinant of the postprandial metabolic responses.
Purpose: To adjust item numbers in a national test, this study used item response theory to examine changes in average scores, reliability, difficulty, and discrimination according to the adjustment of item numbers. Methods: We analyzed the dichotomous coding of correct and incorrect answers of 473 examinees in a mock test conducted in 2023. Additionally, as an explanatory pilot study, we used an online questionnaire to survey experts on their perceptions of the appropriate item numbers for each test subject from January 18, 2024, to February 15, 2024. Results: Regarding the item numbers on the national exam, experts preferred to reduce the number of management of emergency patients (33.14±6.09, p<.05) and advanced emergency medical care: subtopics (104.49±11.55, p<.05), and the total number of questions (217.82±20.95, p<.05). In a simulation set in which items with low item fit were removed after fitting a two-parameter item response theory model, reliability was maintained at .910 until the 5th test consisting of 185 questions with little loss of difficulty, discrimination, and average score, and there was no correlation between item numbers and average score. Conclusion: Experts responded that reducing the number of items on the national exam was appropriate. As a result of the item reduction simulation, there was no significant loss in the average score, difficulty, discrimination, or reliability. More reliable results could be obtained if the results were based on a validity analysis and analyzed using actual national exams.
