  • Speech-language therapist's experiences of their clinical practice offer greater insight to develop the assessment model for resonance disorders appropriate to the clinical setting. In order to investigate their experiences of resonance disorders qualitatively, a semi-structured interview questionnaire was developed on the basis of the review of the literatures about the assessment procedures. From the interviews with 4 speech therapists analysed by using a qualitative, constant-comparative method, 3 main themes were derived: (1) the currently accepted definitions and characteristics of the resonance disorders, (2) the status quo of the assessment procedures, and (3) the needs for the improvement of the assessment procedures. In addition, 15 sub-themes were emerged from the 3 main themes. All themes mentioned by the therapists provide the directions for the development of comprehensive and valid assessment model for the resonance disorders in Korea.

  • The study presents the way to maximize the functionality and the effectiveness of the BIM model, and the type of information used in the overall process of construction projects. If the designing process is the generator of architecture information, then the step-by-step BIM model created in the process is the container for formation and property information. BIM written rules and methods are proposed in order for the architectural BIM model structured in the early stages of designing to go through a process of review and collaboration, and to be seamlessly linked to the basic designing steps. Accordingly, the BIM model construction and operation strategy suggested will substantially reduce the work of designing, structuring, and collaborating, that will be shared and linked.

  • In this paper, robust stability analysis for the fuzzy feedback linearization regulator is presented. Well-known Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model is used as the MISO nonlinear plant model. Uncertainty and disturbance are assumed to be included in the model structure with known bounds. For these structured uncertainty and disturbances, robust stability of the close system is analyzed in both input-output sense and Lyapunov sense. The robust stability conditions are proposed by using multivariable circle criterion and the relationship between input-output stability and Lyapunov stability. The proposed stability analysis is illustrated by a simple example.

  • This paper describes various characteristics of the new compounds for cable jackets and model cables advanced in waterproof performance in order to essentially solve the problems of underground (URD) distribution class power cable failures. Several compounds were manufactured by the inclusion of additives to base resins available in Korea and tested for basic property, mechanical and electrical characteristics. Two model cables were created by using the compounds determined in the test as being the most appropriate for new structured model cable jacket material. The waterproof performance and mechanical strength of the new cable jackets were verified by applicable tests. As a result, MDPE and LLDPE compounds were superior as cable jackets in both mechanical and electrical characteristic aspects when compared with conventional PVC. In addition, the model cables composed of the new compounds based on MDPE showed good quality results in the water permeability test.

  • In this paper, we propose an adaptive neural dynamic surface control (DSC) approach with $H_{\infty}$ tracking performance for full dynamics of nonlinear flight systems. It is assumed that the model uncertainties such as structured and unstrutured uncertainties, and external disturbances influence the nonlinear aircraft model. In our control system, self recurrent wavelet neural networks (SRWNNs) are used to compensate the model uncertainties of nonlinear flight systems, and an adaptive DSC technique is extended for the disturbance attenuation of nonlinear flight systems. All weights of SRWNNs are trained on-line by the smooth projection algorithm. From Lyapunov stability theorem, it is shown that $H_{\infty}$ performance nom external disturbances can be obtained. Finally, we present the simulation results for a nonlinear six-degree-of-freedom F-16 aircraft model to confirm the effectiveness of the proposed control system.

  • Even though most die-maker are using CAD/CAM systems rout NC tool-path generation, “front-end”CAD/CAM technologies have not been fully adapted to sculptured surface machining(SSM) nor are sufficiently utilized in die shops. This gap between die-making industry and CAD/CAM community persists mainly because of the lack of a SSM-process model through which the two groups communicate with each other. Proposed in this paper is a model of SSM-processes which is built around the concepts of machining stages, unit machining operations, and each machining stage is decomposed into a sequence of unit machining operations(UMOs). Identified in the paper are five machining stages and 17 types of UMO. Based on the framework of the proposed model, an example of inner-panel stamping-die machining processes is described in detail.

  • Modern management considers customer satisfaction as a baseline standard of performance and a possible standard of excellence for any business organization including the college. Quality function deployment(QFD) is a structured approach to seek out voice of customers, understanding their needs, and ensure that their needs are met. The strategy value proposed by Chien et al. combines importance, satisfaction, performance, and ability to enhance decision making effectiveness. But in their model, the correlation among the strategic alternatives isn't considered the decision chain and is therefore eliminated. This paper proposes how to calculate the new weight of columns to consider various strength levels of correlations matrix, representing the correlation among the strategic alternatives, using normalization procedure. The aim of this paper is to present and original customer satisfaction survey conducted in the college. Thus, this paper presents an original customer satisfaction survey in the college and provides to demonstrate the practical usage of the design model to compare this model with Chien's model.

  • Since the bifurcating autoregressive (BAR) model was developed by Cowan and Staudte (1986) to analyze cell lineage data, a lot of research has been directed to BAR and its generalizations. Based mainly on the author's works, this paper is concerned with a contemporary review on the BAR in terms of an overview and perspectives. Specifically, bifurcating structure is extended to multi-cast tree and to branching tree structure. The AR(1) time series model of Cowan and Staudte (1986) is generalized to tree structured random processes. Branching correlations between individuals sharing the same parent are introduced and discussed. Various methods for estimating parameters and related asymptotics are also reviewed. Consequently, the paper aims to give a contemporary overview on the BAR model, providing some perspectives to the future works in this area.

  • Up-to-date market dynamics and intense competition have forced a production system to be more widely distributed and decentralized than ever, and the production system itself can be regarded as a collaborative network of autonomous production resources in which the responsibility of decision making is also decentralized into individual autonomous entities. The conventional resource management models, however, are not suitable for the distributed and decentralized environment because of their centralized nature. In this paper, an agent-based resource management model is proposed. The proposed model applies employment relation-driven fractal organization (FrOrg) into organizational model for distributed production resources and presents a resource management framework based on employment contracts. The fractal organization is a structured association in which a self-similar pattern recursively appears, and employment relations between production resources are recursively constructed throughout the entire production system.
