HMO(Health Maintenance Orgarnization)의 내부조직구조와 의료비용절감과의 관계 (The Relationship between HMO's Organizational Structures and Cost Reduction)

  • This study investigates effcts of HMO internal structural arrangements on performance, specially cost reduction measured by hospitalization rate. This study formulates formalization, centralization measured by decision-making participation, differentiation, and coordination as structural factors, considering coordination as an intermediate factor between the rest of structural factors and hospitalization rate. The commonly used HMO types is assumed not effective in explaining performance differences. For the empirical test, I use bootstrap regression analyses with 48 HMOs. The results of the analyses show that HMO types fail to explain differences in hospitalization rate. However, dicision-making participation and differention effectively reduce hospiatalization rate, while frmalization increases hospitalization rate and coordination has nonessential effect on hospitalization rate. And, formalization and decision-making participation positively contribute to achieve coordination in HMO. These findings suggest that the theoretical framework derived from rational-citingency theory of formal organization better explains performance differences of HMOs than HMO types.

정보시스템을 통한 정보공유에 영향을 미치는 상황요인 (Contextual Factors Affecting the Information Sharing through Information Systems)

  • This paper examines the effects of environmental uncertainty, structural decentralization, formalization, complexity and task interdependence on the information sharing through information system. 197 firms in Korea are surveyed and analyzed to investigate the relationship between the contextual variables and the information sharing. The result of multiple regression analysis shows that task interdependence, structural decentralization, complexity are significant factors to influence on the Information Sharing. Also, additional analysis shows that task interdependence, structural decentralization are major factors in service industry, and task interdependence, structural complexity are in manufacturing industry.

  • 상시적으로 변화하는 의료 환경에 적응하고 다양한 외부 의료기관과의 정보 공유를 위해 의료기관 프로세스를 통합 관리할 수 있는 비즈니스 프로세스 관리 시스템에 대한 중요성이 증가하고 있다. 비즈니스 프로세스 관리 시스템은 그래프 기반의 BPMN 프로세스 모델을 웹서비스 환경의 실행언어인 WS-BPEL로 변환한 후 프로세스 엔진을 통해 실행하는 자동화 프로세스 도구이다. 하지만 BPMN 프로세스 모델은 다수의 모호성 및 구조적 불일치로 인해 WS-BPEL로의 변환이 어려울 수 있으며 프로세스 실행 시 실행 오류를 초래할 수 있는 구조적 이상 현상들을 포함할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 의료기관 프로세스 통합 관리를 위해 모호성 및 구조적 불일치가 제거된 정형화된 BPMN 프로세스 모델 및 구조적 이상 현상 검출 방법을 제시한다. IHE 프로파일을 적용한 사례연구를 통해 정형화된 BPMN 프로세스 모델을 제시하고 및 구조적 이상 현상 검증을 실시한다. 기존의 연구 방법과의 비교 실험을 통해 제안된 기법의 우수성을 보인다.

유통경로 내 구매자와 판매자 간 정보공유의 촉진요인과 억제요인 (Promoting and Inhibiting Factors on Information Sharing between Buyers and Sellers)

  • This study has investigated the effects of promoting and inhibiting factors on information sharing between buyers and sellers in Korean distribution industry. Based on intensive literature reviews, eight promoting factors(satisfaction, relational norms, trust, commitment, fairness, formalization, participation, transaction specific investment) and five inhibiting factors(opportunism, environmental uncertainty, conflict, concentration, monitoring) were included in the research model. For the purpose of empirical testing, 320 respondents of retailers in Korea were surveyed and the analysis utilizing structural equation model indicated that satisfaction, relational norms, trust, commitment, fairness, formalization, and participation had positive effects on information sharing. And concentration and monitoring had negative effects on it. However transaction specific investment, opportunism, conflict, and environmental uncertainty had no significant effects.

리더십과 조직시민행동에 대한 연구: 집권화와 공식화의 조절효과를 중심으로 (The Moderating Effect of Formalization and Centralization on the Relationship between Leadership styles and Organizational Citizenship Behavior)

  • Many empirical research surveys have supported that Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) is influnced by or closely related with leadership styles. The first purpose of this study is to review the relationship between 2 leadership styles(employee-centered style, job-centered style) and 2 OCB factors(altruism, conscientiousness) as a criterion variable, and the second and primary purpose is to test the moderating effects of structural factors(formalization, centralization) and personal factors(growth needs, sex, age, tenure, rank, occupation, school career) between 2 leadership styles and 2 OCB factors. For the analytical purpose of this article, Fisher's Z-transformation and SGC(split groups correlations) methods were introduced. Generally 2 leadership styles are found to influence on altruism and conscientiousness respectively. Out of 36 cases, only 2 cases were significant in moderating effects. Based on empirical results, there is no moderating effects in conscientiousness. But altruism is found to more closely related with employee-centered leadership in low centralized group than on high centralized group, and more closely related with job-centered leadership in low growth-needs group than in high growth-needs group.

제품 다양성의 활성화를 위한 신제품 개발 조직의 구조적 특성 (NPD (New Product Development) Structural Features for Successful Product Proliferation)

  • 본 연구는 성공적으로 제품 다양성을 증가시키기 위한 신제품 개발 조직의 특성을 분석하는 데 있다. 본 연구는 플랫폼 및 파생제품 개발을 위한 조직의 구조적 특성을 개별적으로 고려하여, 제품군 (product family) 전체의 성과에 미치는 영향을 분석하고자 한다. 본 연구에서는, 조직 내 구성원 및 그룹간의 관계를 규정짓는 3가지 요인(분권화, 공식화, 전문화)과 함께, 개발 관련 조직 간 공간적 근접성 (spatial proximity)을 조직의 구조적 특성을 파악하는 요인으로 사용하고자 한다. 본 연구는 국내 103개 제조업체로부터 수집한 설문응답 분석에 기초하였다. 조직 구조적 특성은 기업의 제품 다양성 정도와 신제품 개발 성과 간의 관계를 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 본 연구결과는 기존 신제품 개발 조직 연구와 상반되는 몇 가지 결과를 보고 주고 있다. 제품 다양성을 증가시키는 기업에게 있어, 플랫폼 제품 개발 과정의 공식화 및 파생 제품 개발과정의 분권화는 제품군 전체의 성과를 향상시켜 준다. 본 연구는 개발 조직의 공간적 근접성이 성공적으로 제품 다양성을 증가시키는 데 중요한 조직요소라는 것을 증명하였다.

대학병원 종사자의 조직구조, 조직문화에 따른 조직갈등의 관계에 대한연구 (The Relation of Organization Structure, Organization Culture and Organization Conflict of University Hospital Staff Members)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of hospital organization structure, organization culture, organization conflict and the interrelation of influential factor in organization conflict. The data for this study were collected through a self-administered survey with a structured delivered to 755 subjects including several nursing staff members, administration staff members and medical technicians at six hospitals. The structural equation model was used to examine the relation of organization structure, organization culture and organization conflict. The results of the analysis in this study were as follows. First, organization structure had a positive influence on organization conflict, especially in terms of complexity and centralization. But, formalization had a negative influence on organization conflict. Second, organization culture had a positive influence on organization conflict, especially in terms of group culture, developmental culture, and hierarchical culture. But, group culture had a negative influence on organization conflict. Third, organization structure had positive influences, especially on organization culture complexity, centralization, and formalization. But, centralization had negative influences too.

  • Inter-organizational Relationships (IORs) governance is one of the emerging research areas that have been studied in different contexts (e.g. economics, strategy, organization, and management). This view, particularly, attracted rising attention from academics and practitioners in the context of construction projects, due to the complex forms of IORs in terms of inter-firm exchanges (e.g. engineering, procurement, finance, construction, and operation) in these projects. The focus of IORs governance is to control Inter-organizational relationships among two or more cooperative parties to alleviate conflict and achieve mutual gains. One of the mechanisms that have been identified in the related literature is formal governance mechanism. Although many empirical studies have been conducted using formal governance terms and indicators, there isn't yet a consensual definition of this mechanism and its components that may cause misinterpretation of research results and also impede future research. This paper makes contribution to the concept of IORs governance by clarifying the meaning of formal governance mechanism and identifying different indicators of this mechanism that have been used and identified in previous studies. This provides an innovative and useful framework to understand formal governance mechanism and its application in construction projects.

간호조직 효과성에 관한 1차 연구 (The Effectiveness of Nursing Organization(I))

  • This study was designed to test the relationship between effectiveness of nursing organizations and structural and managerial variables of nursing organizations that are described in the Robbins Organizational theory model. The data were collected through self reported questionnaires from 605 nurses working in, and 782 patients hospitalized in, five tertiary hospitals in Seoul. Results showed that according to MANOVA there was a significant difference in nurses job satisfaction and patient satisfaction among the five hospitals. According to cluster analysis of the structural and managerial variables of nursing organizations, the five hospitals were divided into two clusters and there was no significant difference in nurses job satisfaction or patient satisfaction between the two clusters. According to canonical correlation analysis the formalization and centralization of structural variables were shown to be predicting variables for nurses job satisfaction, and the managing job design and managing Change of managerial variables were shown to be predicting variables for nurses job satisfaction.
