중환자실 간호사의 의사소통능력과 인문학적 소양이 전문직 삶의 질에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Communication Skills and Humanistic Knowledge on Professional Quality of Life in Intensive Care Unit Nurses)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to identify relation of the communication skills, humanistic knowledge and professional quality of life and to investigate the enhancing ways of professional quality of life in intensive-care unit nurses. Methods : The study design was a descriptive survey from 152 intensive-care unit nurses, from December 1 to 30, 2019. The data analysis was with ANOVA, Scheffé test, Pearson's correlation coefficient and Multiple regression using the SPSS/WIN 23.0 program. Results : The factors affecting compassion satisfaction were communication skills (β=0.42, p=.001), satisfaction for working (β=0.61, p=.001), marriage (β=0.23, p=.005), humanistic knowledge (β=0.47, p=.008) and these factors explained 35.6%. The factors affecting secondary traumatic stress were job stress (β=0.19, p=.011), number of patients per nurse (β=-0.36, p=.004) and these factors explained 9.4%. The factors affecting burnout were job stress (β=-0.25, p=.001), communication skills (β=-0.29, p=.001), working period(β=-0.18, p=.010), satisfaction for working (β=-0.31, p=.001), self care (β=-0.11, p=.033) and these factors explained 36%. Conclusion : Therefore, it is necessary to develop solution to improve professional quality of life in intensive-care unit nurses. It needs to develop programs to improve communication skills and humanistic knowledge in order to enhance compassion satisfaction and to improve communication skills to prevent burnout.

고령자 1인 가구의 스트레스와 우울증이 삶의 질에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Stress and Depression on the Quality of Life in Single Elderly Households)

  • Objects: In this study, we analyzed the correlation between stress and depression related to the quality of life of one elderly household, and analyzed the influence of stress and depression on the quality of life. In this study, I tried to make a plan for improving the quality of life for one elderly. Methods: In this study, the frequency and percentage according to the general characteristics of one elderly household were frequency analyzed. And the mean and standard deviation of stress, depression, quality of life were analyzed on average. And continuous analysis of stress, depression, quality of life, etc., conducted a technical analysis. Relationship to stress, depression, quality of life, correlation analysis was done. The effect of stress and depression on the quality of life was linear regression analysis. SPSS Version 23.0 was used for analysis. Result: Increased stress and increased depression in elderly single households was a static (+) correlation. And the results of the regression analysis showed that the higher the stress and depression of one elderly household, the lower the quality of life. Conclusion: For the improvement of the quality of life of one elderly household, the government should support stress and depression prevention programs according to sex, age, number of chronic diseases.

서울시 돌봄 서비스 노동자의 직무스트레스와 정신건강이 주관적 구강 증상에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Job Stress and Mental Health of Care Service Workers on Self-diagnosed Oral Symptom in Seoul)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 서울시 돌봄 서비스 노동자들의 직무스트레스와 정신건강 요인이 구강 증상에 미치는 영향에 대하여 살펴보고자 한다. 연구 방법은 돌봄 서비스 노동자 150명을 대상으로 7월 24일부터 8월 6일까지 설문조사를 시행하였다. 조사항목으로는 직무스트레스, 정신건강(신체증상, 불안, 불면), 주관적 구강 증상을 조사하였으며, 연구 결과 다음과 같다. 직무스트레스(p=0.001)는 구강 증상에 유의한 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 신체증상(p<0.001), 불안 증상(p<0.001), 불면 증상(p<0.001) 모두 구강 증상에 유의한 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 위험 요인 중 신체 증상이 구강 증상에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 직무스트레스, 불안 증상, 불면 증상, 구강 증상의 상관성 결과, 직무스트레스가 증가할수록 신체 증상(p<0.001), 불안 증상(p<0.001), 불면 증상(p<0.001), 구강 증상(p<0.01)이 모두 증가하는 양의 상관성을 나타냈다. 돌봄 서비스 노동자들은 돌봄 대상자를 신체적·정신적으로 보살펴야 하는 업무를 수행하므로 육체적·심리적 노동력 소진이 크다. 자신의 건강과 구강건강 상태가 좋아야 업무수행력을 높일 수가 있기에 노동자들의 정신건강을 위한 제도적 확대 방안이 필요하며, 구강건강 증진을 위한 맞춤별 구강보건교육 프로그램 도입이 매우 필요하다고 사려된다.

임신여성의 구강건강행위, 우울, 스트레스가 치주질환에 미치는 영향 (Influences of Oral Health Behaviors, Depression and Stress on Periodontal Disease in Pregnant Women)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the influences of oral health behaviors, depression, and stress on periodontal disease in pregnant women. Methods: The participants in this study were 129 pregnant women. Data were collected using questionnaires which included individual characteristics, oral health care behaviors, the Center for Epidemiological Studies-Depression scale (CES-D), a global measure of perceived stress, and pregnancy stress. A dentist measured periodontal probing depth and classified stages of periodontal disease according to the Community Periodontal Index (CPI). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and multiple regression. Results: Periodontal disease had significant correlations with oral health care behaviors (r=-.56, p <.001), perceived stress (r=.44 p <.001), pregnancy stress (r=.37 p <.001), diet (r=-.33, p <.001) and depression (r=.18 p =.046). Factors influencing periodontal disease for these pregnant women were being in the 2nd (${\beta}=.27$, p <.001) or 3rd trimester (${\beta}=.45$, p <.001), having a pregnancy induced disease (${\beta}=.20$, p =.002), performing higher oral health behaviors (${\beta}=-.30$, p <.001), and having higher perceived stress (${\beta}=.17$, p =.028). The explanation power of this regression model was 61.6% (F=15.52, p <.001). Conclusion: The findings of this study indicated that periodic assessment of periodontal disease is essential for pregnant women who are in 2nd or 3rd trimester and have pregnancy induced diseases. Enhancing oral health care behaviors and reducing perceived stress are indicated as effective strategies to reduce periodontal disease in pregnant women.

보육교사의 행정 업무 스트레스가 행복감에 미치는 영향에서 교사효능감의 매개효과 (The Effect of Childcare Teachers' Office Stress on Happiness and the Mediation Effect of Teacher Effectiveness)

  • 본 연구는 보육교사의 행정업무스트레스와 행복감 및 교사효능감 간의 관계를 분석하는데 목적을 두었다. J 지역 보육교사 243명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고, 수집된 자료는 Jamovi 프로그램을 이용하여 기술통계와 관련성과 매개효과를 분석하였다. 자료분석 결과 첫째, 보육교사의 행정업무 스트레스와 교사효능감, 행복감은 정규성 가정을 충족하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 업무 스트레스와 교사효능감, 행복감 간의 관계 분석에서 행정업무 스트레스와 교사효능감은 통계적으로 유의한 부적인 상관이 나타났고, 행복감과 교사효능감은 유의한 정적인 상관을 나타냈다. 또한 행복감과 행정업무 스트레스의 상관에서는 부적인 상관을 나타냈는데 이는 행정업무 스트레스가 높을수록 교사효능감과 행복감은 감소하고, 행복감이 높을수록 교사효능감이 높아진다고 볼 수 있다. 셋째, 행정업무 스트레스는 행복감과 교사효능감을 의미있게 예측하는 변인으로 나타났으며, 매개효과에서 교사효능감은 부분적으로 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 행복감과 교사효능감에서 행정업무 스트레스가 중요하게 고려되어야 함을 알 수 있었고, 보육교사 처우 개선의 방향성을 제시하였다.

고위험 신생아 부모가 지각한 간호사의 의사소통과 부모 스트레스와의 관계 (The Relationship between Parental Stress and Nurses' Communication as Perceived by Parents of High-risk Newborns)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to characterize the relationship between parental stress and nurses' communication as perceived by parents of high-risk newborns in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Methods: The participants were 54 parents of high-risk newborns in a NICU. Data were collected from January to March 2018. Parental stress and parents' perceptions of nurses' communication ability and styles were measured using a questionnaire. Results: The average scores for parental stress and nurses' communication ability were 3.39 and 4.38 respectively, on a 5-point scale. Parents most commonly reported that nurses showed a friendly communication style, followed by informative and authoritative styles. Mothers and fathers reported significantly different levels of parental stress. Parental stress showed a negative correlation with nurses' perceived verbal communication ability. Higher scores for nurses' verbal communication ability and for friendly and informative communication styles were associated with lower parental stress induced by the environment, the baby's appearance and behaviors, and treatments in the NICU. Conclusion: The findings of this study suggest that nurses need to offer proper information for parents and to support parents by encouraging them to express their emotions of stress and by providing parents with therapeutic communication and opportunities to participate in care.

종합병원 간호사의 연명의료 간호역할 인식, 좋은 죽음 인식이 연명의료 간호 스트레스에 미치는 영향 (The Relationshipof Role Perception of Life-Sustaining Treatment and Good Death Perception with Nursing Stress on Life-Sustaining Treatment in General Hospital Nurses)

  • Purpose: Nursing stress on life-sustaining treatment of nurses is a significant contributing factor to nursing care performance and patient care outcomes. We need to investigate the factors associated with nursing stress on life-sustaining treatment in hospital settings. The purpose of this descriptive study was to examine the relationship of role perception of life-sustaining treatment and good death perception with nursing stress on life-sustaining treatment among nurses in hospital settings. Methods: Using a cross-sectional study design, we recruited nurses at a hospital located in a metropolitan city in Korea. The nurses completed structured questionnaire questions which were composed of well-validated questionnaires. Descriptive statistics and hierarchical multiple regression model were utilized for data analysis. Results: A total of 205 nurses participated in the study (female 93.2%; aged 20~29 years 63.0%; single status 78.5%). In the hierarchical multiple regression model, there was a significant positive relationship between role perception of life-sustaining treatment and nursing stress on life-sustaining treatment (β=.27, p<.001). Higher education level and working at a ward setting were also significantly related to nursing stress on life-sustaining treatment (β=.13, p<.046 for education level; β=.22, p=.001 for work setting). However, there was no relationship between good death perception and nursing stress on life-sustaining treatment. Conclusion: Education programs to reduce nursing stress on life-sustaining treatment are needed to develop for nurses who have higher role perception of life-sustaining treatment with higher education level working at ward settings in hospitals.

Knowledge, Attitudes and Nursing Stress Related to Life-Sustaining Treatment among Oncology Nurses

  • Purpose: This study investigated knowledge, attitudes, and nursing stress related to life-sustaining treatment among oncology nurses. Methods: A descriptive study design was used. Data were collected through a survey from April 1 to May 31, 2022. The participants were 132 nurses working in the oncology ward of a tertiary hospital in Seoul. Data were analyzed using the SPSS 25.0 program with descriptive statics, the independent t-test, analysis of variance, and Pearson correlation coefficients. Results: The average scores for knowledge, attitudes, and nursing stress related to life-sustaining treatment were 14.42, 3.29, and 3.96, respectively. Significant differences in knowledge about life-sustaining treatment were observed based on clinical experience (P=0.029) and education about life-sustaining treatment (P=0.044). Attitudes toward life-sustaining treatment varied significantly with education about life-sustaining treatment (P=0.014), while stress levels differed significantly across working units (P=0.004). A positive correlation was found between the dilemma of extending or stopping life-sustaining treatment (a subdomain of nursing stress) and attitudes toward life-sustaining treatment (r=0.260, P=0.003). Conclusion: There was no significant correlation between the nursing stress experienced by oncology nurses and their knowledge and attitudes toward life-sustaining treatment. However, a more positive experience with life-sustaining treatment education was associated with higher stress levels related to the dilemma of extending or stopping life-sustaining treatment. Therefore, it is crucial to develop strategies to manage this dilemma and reduce stress in the field.

청소년의 스트레스 유형에 따른 자아의식과 외모관리행동 (Self-consciousness, and Appearance Management Behavior according to Stress Typology of Adolescents)

  • The purpose of this study is to classify the stress into groups and analyze their differences in self-consciousness, and appearance management behavior. Questionnaires were administered to 377 middle and high school girls living in Deagu metropolitan City. Frequency, factor analysis, reliability analysis, cluster analysis, ANOVA, Duncant-test, and t-test are all used for data analysis. Our findings show that stress developed due to several reasons: the categories are as follows into grades-related low stress, exam-related high stress, and society-related high stress. For the purposes of our study, we labeled self-consciousness as a combination of being socially and privately self-consciousness and showing signs of social anxiety. Appearance management behavior deals with esthetic plastic surgery, clothing harmony, weight management, hair management, health care, skin care, and meal management. Stress shows a significant correlation with the sub-variable self-consciousness and appearance management behavior. The groups show a significant difference in the self-consciousness, and appearance management behavior. There is also a significant difference among stress, self-consciousness and appearance management behavior by grade. The students in seemed to recognize that their appearance can be improved by dressing up and managing their outwardly appearance. Teachers should educate students to have the variety of views on the meaning of beauty. In addition, schools need to develop programs to educate student about appearances, as the student's interests differ due to the stress type of the adolescent.

간호·간병통합서비스병동 간호사와 일반병동 간호사의 직무만족, 직무스트레스, 직무소진 및 이직의도 (Job Satisfaction, Job Stress, Burnout, and Turnover Intention of Comprehensive Nursing Care Service Ward Nurses and General Ward Nurses)

  • 본 연구는 전국적으로 확대 시행하고 있는 간호 간병통합서비스병동 간호사와 일반병동 간호사의 직무만족, 직무스트레스, 직무소진 및 이직의도를 조사하고 비교하여 간호 간병통합서비스 병동의 효율적인 간호인력 관리를 위한 기초자료를 제공하기 위한 비교조사 연구이다. 대상자는 G광역시 소재 간호 간병통합서비스를 시행하고 있는 6개 병원에서 간호 간병통합서비스병동 간호사와 일반병동 간호사 181명으로, 자료수집은 구조화된 설문지를 이용하여 2017년 5월 16부터 6월 30일까지 실시하였고, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson 상관관계를 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과, 간호 간병통합서비스병동 간호사와 일반병동 간호사의 직무만족, 직무스트레스, 직무소진 및 이직의도에서 집단 간의 차이는 없는 것으로 나타났으나, 간호 간병통합서비스병동 간호사가 직무만족 점수는 더 높았고, 직무스트레스, 직무소진 및 이직의도 점수는 더 낮았다. 또한 간호 간병통합서비스병동 간호사는 직무스트레스(r=.39, p=<.001)와 직무소진(r=.43, p=<.001)이 높을수록 이직의도가 높게 나타났고, 직무만족(r=-.66, p=<.001)이 높을수록 이직의도가 낮게 나타났다. 간호 간병통합서비스병동 간호사는 일반병동 간호사에 비해 직무 관련해서 더 긍정적으로 생각하고 있었다. 따라서 본 연구결과는 간호 간병통합서비스병동의 효율적인 간호인력 관리를 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
