  • In recent years, local festivals have emerged as a promising strategy for regional regeneration, offering a cost-effective means of generating significant added value. Despite the significant growth in the number of local festivals, a number of challenges remain. These include strategic considerations, availability of expertise and financial independence. These issues raise concerns about the long-term viability of these festivals. Recent studies have explored various forms of convergence, including technological, business and cross-industry, with festivals identified as a representative example of such convergence. Local festivals that mobilise the local business service environment, specialised industries, specialities and products should be studied through the lens of an innovation ecosystem for service innovation. This study presents and verifies the key factors for successful festival organisation from an innovation ecosystem perspective. To achieve the research objective, a three-level success factor structure model of village arts festivals was developed based on the EPSS framework, with a focus on the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennial in Japan. This model consists of 7 superordinate factors and 29 subordinate factors. The AHP analysis showed that the most important factors are strategy, service, institution, etc. The subsequent elements were ranked in descending order of importance, with the following factors considered to be of particular importance: excellence and representativeness of content, clarity of vision and goals, novelty and differentiation of theme, etc. The results of this analysis have implications for the development of strategies for the sustainable operation of village arts festivals and for the possibility of studying local festivals from an ecosystem perspective.

  • This paper aims to derive success factors that successfully lead an artificial intelligence (AI) project and prioritize importance. To this end, we first reviewed prior related studies to select success factors and finally derived 17 factors through expert interviews. Then, we developed a hierarchical model based on the TOE framework. With a hierarchical model, a survey was conducted on experts from AI-using companies and experts from supplier companies that support AI advice and technologies, platforms, and applications and analyzed using AHP methods. As a result of the analysis, organizational and technical factors are more important than environmental factors, but organizational factors are a little more critical. Among the organizational factors, strategic/clear business needs, AI implementation/utilization capabilities, and collaboration/communication between departments were the most important. Among the technical factors, sufficient amount and quality of data for AI learning were derived as the most important factors, followed by IT infrastructure/compatibility. Regarding environmental factors, customer preparation and support for the direct use of AI were essential. Looking at the importance of each 17 individual factors, data availability and quality (0.2245) were the most important, followed by strategy/clear business needs (0.1076) and customer readiness/support (0.0763). These results can guide successful implementation and development for companies considering or implementing AI adoption, service providers supporting AI adoption, and government policymakers seeking to foster the AI industry. In addition, they are expected to contribute to researchers who aim to study AI success models.

  • In this study, the main goal is conduct an empirical research for MNC's(multinational companies) contingency factors and entry modes. Through examining elements of success and limitations of foreign companies in the domestic market, a resulting purpose can be suggested such as developing attractive foreign investment policy. The results in this study are as below. The results from Logistic Regression Analysis there were indications for preference factors for WOS (Wholly Owned Subsidiary). The factors were 'Strategic Motivation', 'Intelligent Property', and 'Market Latent Purchasing Power'. For JV (Joint Venture) there were preferred factors such as 'Degree of Using Product Factors', 'Differential Products Development Ability', and 'Systematic Incentives'. However, this thesis is limited to identifying clear causal relationship between the 'Performance' of foreign investment enterprise which entered WOS or JV and various factors which were suggested in the contingency factors (independent variables).

  • The rapid development and diversification of technology require that firms should adjust and cope with a high degree of uncertainty. An alternative to these strategic responses is the recent increase in the number of R&D or technological collaborations among firms. There have been continuous researches into the causes and effects of these collaborative relationships, but there is a lack of research that examines the risks involved in the process of collaboration. The researches into essential prerequisites for a successful technological collaboration have remained at the superficial level despite the surge in demand of R&D collaboration. Therefore, this study proposes positive & negative factors affecting the R&D collaboration process and selection point. In addition, a further step in analysis is taken by integrating both the positive & negative factors. This study emphasizes the importance of inter-trust in activating the process factors within the success factors and reducing the possibility of risk factors.

  • As the ERP system become recognized as a strategic weapon of a firm, the way how to implement the system successfully has been an important issue for both practitioners and the academic community. The objective of this research is to identify the critical success factors influencing the implementation of the ERP system and to suggest the tasks to be considered first for the effective implementation of the system. The results from the analysis of data collected from the 169 firms among those which have implemented either the Oracle package or the SAP package in Korea are as follows. The important factors for the successful implementation of the ERP system include the strength of rivalry among competing firms; the degree to which information systems are matured; the information systems strategy of a firm; the support and concern from the top; and the technical openness between the ERP system and the legacy system such as network, hardware, and software. The tasks to be considered first for the effective implementation of the ERP system cover the same degree of feeling between labor and management on the threat to survive; the formulation of information systems strategy at the strategic level; CEO's strong will and resolution; the process automation and informatization of a firm; and the infrastructure including intranet and databases.

  • Partner relationship management (PRM) refers to processes and methodologies associated with managing the relationship between corporations and their partners. Recently, the importance of PRM has been increasingly emphasized, and it is considered as a core competitive factor for firms whose sales heavily rely on the intermediate distributor. In this paper, we identify key success factors for PRM system based on literature review on CRM system and interviews with domain experts, and prioritize them from two different perspectives, firms and partners, based on analytical hierarchy process. Partners responded that trust-building between firms and partners, quality of system, and satisfaction level for information system have high priorities, while firms responded that quality of system, information share, and trust building between firms and partners. Identified factors and evaluated priorities can provide a strategic guideline when planning the PRM system building.

After KMS(Knowledge Management System) was recognized as one of core competences of company, KMS based on information technology has been introduced actively to many corporate organizations for the implementation of realizing knowledge management. As the strategic use of KMS increases in company, it has attracted attention to the system and the investment in the system, now attention has brought to the effect of the system. The efficiency and effectiveness of KMS has been tackled as one of the most important issues, and then many studies have been implemented to measure the result of the system. The purpose of this study is to overcome these problems and to help make an important decision in establishing introduction strategy by abstracting the reasons and success factors and result indices which are important sources for introducing KMS.
