In this study, a preview-sensing visual sensor system is constructed far weld seam tracking in GMA welding. The visual sensor system consists of a CCD camera, a diode laser system with a cylindrical lens, and a band-pass-filter to overcome the degrading of image due to spatters and/or arc light. Among the image processing methods, Hough transform method is compared with the central difference method from a viewpoint of the capability for extracting the accurate feature position. As a result, it was revealed that Hough transform method can more accurately extract the feature positions and it can be applied to real time weld seam tracking. Image processing which includes Hough transform method is carried out to extract straight lines that express laser stripe. After extracting the lines, weld joint position and edge points are determined by intersecting the lines. Even though the image includes a spatter trace on it, it is possible to recognize the position of weld joint. Weld seam tracking was precisely implemented with adopting Hough transform method, and it is possible to track the weld seam in the case of offset angle is in the region of $\pm$$15^{\circ}$.

In this paper, lane and curvature detection algorithm based on the curve template matching method is proposed. To eliminate the perspective effect of the original image, the input image is transformed to a top view image. From this top view image, its edge image is created. To increase the accuracy of detection, a novel edge detection method, which shows a strength in lane detection, is proposed. In the first step, straight lanes are detected from the edge image, and then the Curve Template Matching(CTM) method is applied to detect the curved lanes and to find their curvatures. Since the proposed CTM method uses only the simple equations, such as line and circle equations, to detect the curved lane, the algorithm is simple. Moreover, we used the detected lane information in the previous frames to detect the current frame's lanes, the detection results become more reliable. The proposed algorithm has been tested in various road conditions (highway, urban street, night time highway, etc.). Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can process about 70 frames per second with the successful lane detection rate over 95% and curvature detection rate about 90%.
The intracavitary cones were designed which were made of stainless steel and have scratched inside cone to be generated electron scatter and designed to be attached easily to the LINAC collimator and controlled cones length to be contacted smoothly between the patient and the cone tip. Two types of intracavitary cones were designed. One is the straight end cones with circular opening on the distal end and the other is 30 degree beveled end cones with elliptical opening on the distal end. Each type of intracavitary cone ranged in daimeter from 2.5 cm to 3.5 cm and required a separate set of lower trimmer annulias cone diameter. The film phantom was designed with an internal cassette that accurately aligned the film edge with the film phantom surface. Film optical density data were measured by photodensitometer(Wellhofer 700i) Dosimetry measurements were made to commission the LINAC for 6 - 20 MeV electron using the intracavitary cones. Isodose curves were measured for all energy and cones combinations. Output is defined as the maximum dose per MU along the clinical central axis in water at 113 cm SSD. Calibration output, defined to be the output for the 15cm$\times$15cm diameter straight cone, was adjusted to 1.00 cGy/MU at each energy according to the TG-21 protocol.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of various factors in keratotomy for astigmatism correction on surgical outcomes by finite element method as well as animal experiments. Three kinds of surgical techniques were mechanically investigated : arcuate, straight, and inverse arcuate keratotomy. Among the three techniques the arcuate keratotomy is the most popular one while the other two techniques are being investigated in this area. The arcuate keratotomy was found to be more controllable and effective in reducing the refractive power than the others. In arcuate keratotomy it was found most effective when the incision was located in the middle position between the apex and the edge of the cornea from the results of experiment as well as finite element study. Regarding to the range of the corneal incision in arcuate keratotomy, the incision angle of 90$^{\circ}$ was found th be most effective in reducing refractive power than other angles even it was incised up to 150$^{\circ}$. Therefore, it was concluded that 90$^{\circ}$ of incision angle results in the largest decrease in refractive power in arcuate keratotomy. However, other important findings were that the effect of the surgery decreased with time so the visco-effect of the cornea and auto-healing process. Therefore, these factors should be considered in future studies.
The object of this article is to examine the shapes and the development of the costume worn in the early and middle Yi Dynasty from the viewpoint of the history of customes with the excavated clothing from Chung-Ju (1530 A.D.), Wool-San (1650 A.D.), An-Dong (1650 A.D.) etc. The study of the history of costumes of the early years of the Yi Dynasty has been mainly dependent upon fiblirographical records sofar. So I have arranged in order some excavated clothing of the early Yi Dynasty, which gives us some means for the study of Korean historical costumes. It is noticeably remarkable that the daily wear of the early Yi Dynasty period was excavated for the first time from Chung-ju. The results drawn from this research are: It is argued that the original from of Chul-nik(天翼) has been excavated. This is the remnants Mongolian clothing of the Koryo Dynasty, and it is sketched in the Dai-Myong-jib-lei(大明集禮) as Yo-sun-o-ja which the lower classes usually put on. The similar clothing is also handed down as a Dan-po(緞袍) from the ming Dynasty, and we can presume that Chul-nik was a common clothing regardless of the social status of their wearer. It is also remarkable that even women at those times wore the Chul-nik. The length of the Cheo-go-ri of the early Yi Dynasty was the middle hip length, and the edge of the sleeves was very wide which called Cham-soo, and it was handed down to the middle period of the Yi Dynasty which can be seen in the coat (po) of women(直領袍). The systems of the straight-collar Po(袍) during the early Yi Dynasty were discovered for the first time. This Po(袍) which would represent the po-system of the early years of Yi Dynasty, is handed down even to the middle of Yi Dynasty. The collars of the Po(coat) of the early Yi Dynasty are mostly double collars(二重衿) and these give us the advantage in reconsidering of the cheo-go-ri(赤古里) of the Kingdom of Shin-la, or Koryo Dynasty. The edge of the women's Ba-ji(袴) of the early Yi Dynasty was wide and the Ba-ji had a shoulder belt which connect the front part with the back one, which showed the practical point of Ba-ji. The men's Ba-ji of the middle Yi Dynasty was the same as can be seen today and it is clear that the Mongolian Ba-ji dated to B.C. 1 was the same one also. In the system of the Chi-ma(常), there seems to be no differences between the ancient styles and those of these times.

This comparative study analyzes and compares tight skirt sewing methods which are found in the clothing configuration reference text books available in contemporary universities and which are used in commercially-available domestic consumer products. The study samples included 15 text books and 12 tight skirt consumer products of different brands on sale at three department stores in Seoul each of which had a belt, a back-centered zipper, and back double slits. The findings of the study are summarized as follows: First, text books mainly show very basic sewing methods of using zippers on both sides of the straight-lined waist belt. This indicates that it is necessary for such methods to be complemented so that they cover a recent variety of designs, materials, and sewing machines. For consumer products, the main sewing method is to use a curved waist belt and a console zipper in silhouette running across half the hipbone. Second, consumer products employ three different types of cutting and sewing methods for putting an inseam on the center of the back slit part: to leave the whole inseam hemmed in the back center, to cut the left side of the inseam to the upper part of the back slit, and to cut the inseam to both the upper parts of the back slit. However, a method shown in most of the sampled text books is to cut the inseam of the back center to both the upper parts of the back slit. Third, the way of finishing a bottom edge hem in the text books is to do slip-stitch, herringbone stitch, and slinting hemming, in order after doing over-lock stitch, or to cut the hem on the bias and then slip-stitch, while for the consumer products the most frequently used sewing method is to finish the bottom edge hem by doing secoui-stitch. Finally, while in the text books the method of stitching darts and tucks is used for lining, the main lining method used in consumer products is to make tucks only. Also in the way of stitching the side seams of lining or the seams of the back center, there is a difference between the two sample groups of text books and the consumer products: while the former suggests using both open seams and over-lock stitch, the latter is found to finish the seams using an over-lock stitch only.

In the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) of smart vehicle and Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) for to detect the boundary of lane is being studied a lot of Hough Transform. This method detects correctly recognition the lane. But recognition rate can fall due to detecting straight lines outside of the lane. In order to solve this problems, this paper proposed an algorithm to recognize the lane boundaries and the accumulator cells in Hough space. Based on proposed algorithm, we develop application for Android was developed by H/W verification. Users of smart phone devices could use lane detection and lane departure warning systems for driver's safety whenever and wherever. Software verification using the OpenCV showed efficiency recognition correct rate of 93.8% and hardware real-time verification for an application development in the Android phone showed recognition correct rate of 70%.

we improved the performance by parallelizing lane detection algorithms. Lane detection, as a intellectual assisting system, helps drivers make an alarm sound or revise the handle in response of lane departure. Four kinds of algorithms are implemented in order as following, Gaussian filtering algorithm so as to remove the interferences, gray conversion algorithm to simplify images, sobel edge detection algorithm to find out the regions of lanes, and hough transform algorithm to detect straight lines. Among parallelized methods, the data level parallelism algorithm is easy to design, yet still problem with the bottleneck. The high-speed data level parallelism is suggested to reduce this bottleneck, which resulted in noticeable performance improvement. In the result of applying actual road video of black-box on our parallel algorithm, the measurement, in the case of single-core, is approximately 30 Frames/sec. Furthermore, in the case of octa-core parallelism, the data level performance is approximately 100 Frames/sec and the highest performance comes close to 150 Frames/sec.
PURPOSE. The mechanical and interfacial characterization of laser welded Co-Cr alloy with two different joint designs. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Dumbbell cast specimens (n=30) were divided into 3 groups (R, I, K, n=10). Group R consisted of intact specimens, group I of specimens sectioned with a straight cut, and group K of specimens with a $45^{\circ}$ bevel made at the one welding edge. The microstructure and the elemental distributions of alloy and welding regions were examined by an SEM/EDX analysis and then specimens were loaded in tension up to fracture. The tensile strength (TS) and elongation (${\varepsilon}$) were determined and statistically compared among groups employing 1-way ANOVA, SNK multiple comparison test (${\alpha}$=.05) and Weibull analysis where Weibull modulus m and characteristic strength ${\sigma}_0$ were identified. Fractured surfaces were imaged by a SEM. RESULTS. SEM/EDX analysis showed that cast alloy consists of two phases with differences in mean atomic number contrast, while no mean atomic number was identified for welded regions. EDX analysis revealed an increased Cr and Mo content at the alloy-joint interface. All mechanical properties of group I (TS, ${\varepsilon}$, m and ${\sigma}_0$) were found inferior to R while group K showed intermediated values without significant differences to R and I, apart from elongation with group R. The fractured surfaces of all groups showed extensive dendritic pattern although with a finer structure in the case of welded groups. CONCLUSION. The K shape joint configuration should be preferred over the I, as it demonstrates improved mechanical strength and survival probability.

Purpose: This study was aimed to determine the effects of thoracic spine thrust manipulation on muscle activities of the scapular upward rotators and middle deltoid, active range of motion (AROM), shoulder pain, and rounded shoulder posture in young adults with rounded shoulder. Methods: The subjects were 30 young adults (14 males, 16 females) with rounded shoulder. Thirty subjects were randomly assigned to an experimental (manipulation) and control (placebo) groups of fifteen subjects respectively. The manipulation group received the manipulation (high velocity, low amplitude), which was performed by a physical therapist with the subject in the supine position and with the arms crossed over the chest and hands passed over the shoulders. For the sham group, the same procedure was performed, with the exception that the high-velocity thrust was not applied. Measurements were taken before and after the intervention. Muscle activity of upper and lower trapezius, serratus anterior, middle deltoid was measured using surface electromyography. Visual analog scale (VAS) was used for shoulder pain. Goniometry was used for shoulder abduction active range of motion (AROM). Straight edge was used for supine rounded shoulder posture (RSP) distance. Results: The muscle activity of the upper trapezius, lower trapezius and middle deltoid muscle increased significantly after the intervention (p<.05). However, no significant difference was observed in serratus anterior muscle (p>.05). The VAS was significantly decreased and AROM significantly increased after the intervention (p<.05). The distance of RSP were not significant (p>.05). The control group showed no differences before and after the intervention (p>.05). Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that thoracic spine thrust manipulation can be an effective component of treatment plan to improve pain and function.
