이상단열 모델에 의한 자유피스톤 스털링엔진의 동적거동 해석 (Dynamic Analysis of Free-Piston Stirling Engine Using Ideal Adiabatic Model)

  • A new set of governing equations is derived for the dynamic analysis of the Free-Piston Stirling Engines(EPSE). Equations from the ideal adiabatic model for the thermodynamic analysis of the working fluid are incoporated with the equations of motion for the moving masses of the system, resulting in a set of nonlinear differential equations. The coupled set of equations are numerically integrated with proper intial conditions to obtain a steady state response of the engine. The proposed method is compared with the conventional method of analyzing EPSE based mainly on the ideal isothermal model. The results clearly shows the limitationsl of the conventional methods and the relative advantages of the method proposed in the present study.

  • 본 논문에서는 algebraic matrix Lyapunov equations과 a1gebraic matrix Riccati equations에 관하여 잘 알려져 있는 중요한 결과를 확장한다. 본 연구는 Matrix 미분 방정식에서 양단 경계조건이 존재하는 문제를 다루며 여기에서 얻어지는 결과는 기존하고 있는 결과를 포함하게 된다. 특히 선형 시스템이 periodic feedback gain control로 안정화되는 필요충분조건을 구하며, two-point boundary Riccati equations의 해를 쉽게 구하는 반복 계산방법을 제시한다. 또한 interalwise reeceding horizon을 이용한 새로운 periodic feedback gain control이 시스템을 안전화시켜줌을 보여준다.

Oligosaccharides are a key factor in prediction of amino acid digestibility in soybean meal of different origins when fed to growing pigs

  • Objective: The objective of this experiment was to determine apparent ileal digestibility (AID) and standardized ileal digestibility (SID) of crude protein (CP) and amino acid (AA) in 15 sources of soybean meal (SBM) produced from soybeans from different countries and subsequently to establish equations for predicting the AID and SID in SBM based on their chemical composition. Methods: Eighteen barrows ($57.9{\pm}6.1kg$) fitted with a simple T-cannula were allotted into three $6{\times}6$ Latin square designs. Each period comprised a 6-d adaption period followed by a 2-d collection of ileal digesta. The 15 test diets included SBM as a sole source of AA in the diet. Another nitrogen-free diet was used to measure basal endogenous losses of CP and AA. Chromic oxide (0.3%) was used as an inert marker in each diet. Results: The AID of lysine in SBM from China and USA tended to be greater than in SBM from Brazil (p<0.10). The SID of valine and proline in SBM from China was greater than in SBM from Brazil (p<0.05). The SID of lysine, threonine, cysteine and glycine in SBM from China tended to be greater than in SBM from Brazil (p<0.10). From a stepwise regression analysis, a series of AID and SID prediction equations were generated. The best fit equations for lysine in SBM were: AID lysine = 1.16 sucrose-1.81 raffinose+82.10 ($R^2=0.69$, p<0.01) and SID lysine = 1.14 sucrose-1.93 raffinose-0.99 ether extract (EE)+85.26 ($R^2=0.77$, p<0.01). Conclusion: It was concluded that under the conditions of this experiment, the oligosaccharides (such as sucrose and raffinose) can be used to predict the AID and SID of AA in SBM with reasonable accuracy.

Dynamic response of underground box structure subjected to explosion seismic wave

  • In this paper, the underground box structure is discretized as a system with limited freedoms, and the explosion seismic wave is regarded as series of dynamic force acting on the lumped masses. Based on the local deformation theory, the elastic resistances of the soil are simplified as the effects of numbers of elastic chain-poles. Matrix force method is adopted to analyze the deformation of the structure in elastic half space. The structural dynamic equations are established and by solving these equations, the axial force, the moment and the displacement of the structure are all obtained. The influences of size ratio, the incident angle and the rock type on the dynamic response of the underground box structure are all investigated through a case study by using the proposed method.

  • The natural frequencies of a flexible spinning disk misaligned with the axis of rotation are studied in an analytic manner. The effects of misalignment on the natural frequency need to be investigated, because the misalignment between the axis of symmetry and the axis of rotation cannot be avoided in the removable disks such as CD-R, CD-RW or DVD disks. Assuming that the in-plane displacements are in steady state and the out-of-plane displacement is in dynamic state, the equations of motion are derived for the misaligned spinning disk. After the exact solutions are obtained for the steady-state in-plane displacements, they are plugged into the equation for the dynamic-state out-of-plane motion. The resultant equation is a linear equation for the out-of-plane displacement, which is discretized by the Galerkin method. Based on the discretized equations, the effects of the misalignment are analyzed on the vibration characteristics of the spinning disk, i.e., the natural frequencies and the critical speed

Nonlinear formulation and free vibration of a large-sag extensible catenary riser

  • The nonlinear formulation using the principle of virtual work-energy for free vibration of a large-sag extensible catenary riser in two dimensions is presented in this paper. A support at one end is hinged and the other is a free-sliding roller in the horizontal direction. The catenary riser has a large-sag configuration in the static equilibrium state and is assumed to displace with large amplitude to the motion state. The total virtual work of the catenary riser system involves the virtual strain energy due to bending, the virtual strain energy due to axial deformation, the virtual work done by the effective weight, and the inertia forces. The nonlinear equations of motion for two-dimensional free vibration in the Cartesian coordinate system is developed based on the difference between the Euler's equations in the static state and the displaced state. The linear and nonlinear stiffness matrices of the catenary riser are obtained and the eigenvalue problem is solved using the Galerkin finite element procedure. The natural frequencies and mode shapes are obtained. The results are validated with regard to the reference research addressing the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed nonlinear formulation. The numerical results for free vibration and the effect of the nonlinear behavior for catenary riser are presented.

JWL 상태방정식을 활용한 실린더 팽창 실험 모델링 (Modeling of Cylinder Expansion Test Using JWL Equation of State)

  • 폭약은 다양한 종류가 존재하며, 각 폭약마다 내수성, 폭굉에 필요한 에너지, 파쇄력 등의 특성이 상이하기 때문에 폭약의 특성에 대한 이해는 폭약의 안전한 사용 및 성능 향상에 중요하다. 폭약의 특성의 이해를 위해 다양한 실험들과 더불어 간접적인 방법으로 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션이 활용되고 있으며, 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션으로 폭약의 폭굉 과정을 표현하기 위해서 상태방정식을 활용하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 폭약의 상태방정식 중 주로 사용하는 JWL EOS의 대한 설명과 JWL EOS의 계수를 산정하기 위한 실린더 팽창 실험을 ANSYS AUTODYN으로 구현하여 실제 실험 결과와 비교, 분석하였다. 그 결과, 20% 내외의 오차율이 발생하였으며, 압력과 에너지의 전체적인 변화 양상이 기 발표된 실험 결과와 일치함을 볼 수 있었다.

  • The radioactive experiments are carried out for diagnosis of a variety of industrial processes in terms of the operation condition and the efficiency by measuring the residence time distribution. However, it is not easy to interpret the residence time distribution using the conventional methods when the flow rate is not constant and a number of processes are coupled in a complicated manner. In these cases, they can be analyzed by describing the system with mathematical models that can be defined with the state-space equations. In this paper, the residence time distribution of sludge was measured with a radiotracer, $^{46}Sc-EDTA$, in the digester of which the flow rate varies with time. The digester was assumed as a linear time variant system since the flow rate changed during the experiment and the operation efficiency of the digester was calculated by applying the state-spae equations.

PLD 설계용 툴 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of a Tool for PLD Design)

  • 본 논문에서는 디지틀 회로를 PLD 소자로 설계하는 PLD 설계용 툴인 PLD Designer 을 개발하였다. PLD Designer는 FSM(finite state machine)의 상태수가 제한적(20개 미만)일 경우, 상태표로부터 부울식을 추출할 수 있는 상태 그래픽 편집기(state graphic editor)와 상태 그래픽 편집기에서 생성된 부울식에 적합한 PLD 소자 (PAL 16R4, PAL22V10, GAL16V8 등)를 선정하여 핀 할당을 실현하는 핀 맵 편집기(pin map editor)로 구성되어 있다. 또한 핀 맵 편집기는 fuse map, checksum, JEDEC화일을 생성하며 PLD 디바이스 구현에 사용한다. 생성된 부울식을 검증하기 위해 테스트 벡터 (test vector) 생성 알고리즘을 개발하였으며 PLD Designer에 의해 생성된 JEDIC화일 과 PALASM의 JEDEC화일과 비교한 결과 동일함을 입증하였다.

질소, 산소, 아르곤에 대한 상태방정식의 신뢰도 (A Reliability of Equation of State for Nitrogen, Oxygen and Argon)

  • 가스물성의 계산방법으로 상태방정식이 널리 사용되고 있으나 상태방정식의 종류에 따라서 물성예측에 서로 다른 차이를 보이고 있다. 본 연구는 가스의 액화온도에서 상온에 이르는 온도범위와 1bar에서 30bar에 이르는 압력범위에서 질소, 산소, 아르곤에 대한 상태방정식의 물성계산 신뢰도를 검토하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 Aspen plus에서 제공하는 Soave-Redlich-Kwong, Peng-Robinson, BWR-Lee Staring 상태방정식을 비교대상으로 하였고 계산결과는 문헌치 및 virial식과 비교하였다. 또한 물성계산식이 공정에 미치는 영향을 고찰하기 위하여 초저온 공기분리장치의 증류탑 및 팽창터어빈 계산을 수행하여 상태방정식 차이에 의한 공정계산 차이를 비교, 분석하였다.
