Lap splice is used in building construction up to recently. As buildings become higher and larger, the use of high tensile bar is increasing due to increasing in the use of high compression concrete. However the using of high tensile bar in lap splice causes eccentricity and difficulty in placing of concrete inside the form, therefore not allowing enough intervening material. Various mechanical connection are being developed but the coupler of today needs either a secondary intervening material or secondary processing that consumes much time. Therefore a coupler, needing neither a secondary intervening material nor secondary processing, was made in this study which lead to following results. (1) Breaking occurred in all experimented rebar. (2) Acquirement of tension exceeding the standard requirement. (3) Acquirement of elongation percentage within the standard requirement.

This paper proposes an efficient predictive image-compression technique based on vector quantization of blocks of pels. In the proposed method edge contents of blocks control the selection of predictors and block shapes as well. The maximum number of bits assigned to quantizers has been in creased to 3bits/pel from 1/5bits/pel, the setting employed by forerunners in predictive vector quantization of images. This increase prevents the saturation in SNR observed in their results in high bit rates. The variable block shape is instrumental in eh reconstruction of edges. The adaptive procedure is controlled by means of he standard deviation ofp rediction errors generated by a default predictor; the standard deviation address a decision table which can be set up beforehand. eh proposed method is characterized by overall improvements in image quality over A-VQ-PE and A-DCT VQ, both of which are known for their efficient use of vector quantizers.

함수근사는 과학과 고학부야에서 공범위하게 응용된다. 시포트 벡터 기계(support vector machine, SVM)는 원래 분류를 위해 계안되어져 문자인식, 얼굴인식 등의 응용분야에서 좋은 결과를 보여주고 있다. 최근 SVM이론 함수근사로 확장되어 많이 활용되려 하고 있다. 그러나 함수근사를 위한 SVM 알고리즘은 QP(quadratic proramming)문제와 관련되어있어 계산에 시간이 걸리며 QP를 위한 패키지가 있어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 함수근사를 위해 커널-애더트론 알고리즘을 이용한 SVM을 제안하고 QP를 이용한 SVM과 성능을 비교하고자 한다.

The standard of crop quality is required to promote the consumption and produce the high quality products. It will contribute the stability for processing products and the marketability of crops. Upland crop quality is considered to the three categories; the marketing value such as grain size, shape and appearance; the eating and processing value such as milling rate, dehulled ratio and kernel hardness; the nutritional value such as protein, lipid and isoflavone content. Even though many characters were analyzed for crop quality, effective method of evaluation to enhance the control of quality was not performed till now. Therefore, in the future, research in upland crop quality should emphasize to establish the standard evaluation method.

Apartments construction is a one of largest parts in buildings construction. In apartments construction, work interferences are frequently occurred in work processing because workspaces are very various and numerous. However, though work process is important for mainly influencing to the schedule, quality and cost of apartments construction, these work interferences are considered a kind of uncertainty, which is difficult to anticipate at construction planning stage, in work processing. Therefore, this study proposed the measures for work interference reduction in apartment buildings construction and the actual planning for practices. The results can be summarized as follows: (1) the standard of work process is checked regularly. (2) The scope of work and work process is adjusted. (3) The standard of drawings process and cost about work interferences work profess is established.

본 논문에서는 일반적인 터치스크린의 단점을 보완하고, 새로운 형태의 입력장치로서 뿐만 아니라 게임 등에 이용할 수 있는 가상막을 이용한 가상 터치스크린을 구현했다. 기존의 터치스크린에서 요구되는 물리적인 막이 없이, 두 대의 웹캠만으로 가상막을 설치함으로써 크기의 제한이 없는 영상처리 기반의 가상 터치스크린이다. 본 논문에서 개발한 가상터치스크린은 가격이 저렴하고 쉽게 설치가 가능하여 새로운 형태의 게임을 구현하는데 사용할 수 있는 시스템이다.

This paper presents new approach to technology pattern recognition of camera back cover and test of soldering. In real-time implementing of pattern recognition camera back cover and test of soldering, the MVB-03 vision board has been used. Image can be captured from standard CCD monochrome camera in resolutions up to 640$\times$480 pixels. Various options re available for color cameras, a synchronous camera reset, and linescan cameras. Image processing os performed using Texas Instruments TMS320C31 digital signal processors. Image display is via a standard composite video monitor and supports non-destructive color overlay. System processing is possible using c30 machine code. Application software can be written in Borland C++ or Visual C++

Much research has been performed to represent music information on computers. However, one problem of the previous approaches is that music information cannot be hared with other music systems since they have used their own representation schemes. In order to resolve this problem, we have developed a new scheme for representing, editing, and playing rhythms among music information based on XML which is a web standard language. We present a RDML (Rhythm Description Markup Language) to exactly describe rhythm information such as beats, musical instruments, and performance information, which is much simpler thant previous representation schemes. Moreover, the RDML representation can be played by converting it into SMIL representation. Because our approach is based on the web standard, the music information can be shared on the web.

Digital photogrammetry workstations are usually based on independent systems which are both expensive and complex. In this paper, through Web Processing Service, which is an Open Geospatial Consortium standard for GIS, is applied to suggest a new approach for processing photogrammetry tasks. WPS profiling is a procedure that defines generic unit process and then categorizes these processes for a specific task. The WPS profile for aerial photogrammetry was designed in this paper to help users to reuse the processes of the profile in different combinations for different tasks.

In this paper, we propose a technical standard that applies to the MNP between 2G and 3G. We define network function, system function and information flow for MNP. We designed call processing mechanism for MNP by QoR. We also define the processing method of SMS according to the MNP.
