As the demands for traditional Korean housing has been increased in recent years, modernized Korean traditional housing (Hanok) was developed as a way of providing Hanok for the public. Modernized Hanok attempts to remedy the shortcomings of the traditional hanok (i.e., high unit cost of building and low energy performance). In the previous researches, standardization and productivity improvement for modernized Hanok dissemination have been intensely developed. Above all, cost estimating for modernized Hanok is also an important factor. In an effort to provide effective system for Hanok construction, this paper developed 'standard cost data' for modernized Hanok. Distinct characteristic of modernized Hanok construction were analyzed first. Then, basic structure was identified, and major items were selected for Hanok standard cost data. However, this set of cost data was developed based on two mock-up Hanok projects actually constructed. Accordingly, this standard cost data will be further updated and modified by continuously accumulating real-world Hanok projects
Mix-used development in urban renewal project is done to effectively utilize the limited downtown. Generally unlike a single project, It features placing a large number of different facilities(residential, commercial, business, cultural, etc.) which is each other organically linked. The purpose of this study is to suggest the method of modeling guide for 3D preliminary cost estimation considering visual and intuitive judgement of space in mix-used development Urban Renewal project. In this research, introducing SME(Standard Module and Element) breakdown structure, FID(Finish Identity) for estimating building space unit-based quantity take off was implemented. It could narrow the discrepancy of opinion between the stakeholders with more accurate cost-estimates, comparing to the traditional methods.

The reliability of 1.550m-wavelength InGaAs mesa waveguide photodiodes(WGPDs), which developed for 40-Gbps optical receiver applications, fabricated by metal organic chemical vapor deposition is investigated. Reliability is examined by both high-temperature storage tests and the accelerated life tests by monitoring dark current and breakdown voltage. The median device lifetime and the activation energy of the degradation mechanism are computed for WGPD test structures. From the accelerated life test results, the activation energy of the degradation mechanism and median lifetime of these devices in room temperature are extracted from the log-normal failure model by using average lifetime and the standard deviation of that lifetime in each test temperature. It is found that the WGPD structure yields devices with the median lifetime of much longer than $10^6$ h at practical use conditions. Consequently, this WGPD structure has sufficient characteristics for practical 40-Gbps optical receiver modules.

When decommissioning nuclear power plant (NPP), the first task performed is cost estimation. This is an important task in terms of securing adequate decommissioning funds and managing the schedule. Therefore, many countries and institutions are conducting continuous research and also developing and using many programs for cost estimation. However, the cost estimated for decommissioning an NPP typically differs from the actual cost incurred in its decommissioning. This is caused by insufficient experience in decommissioning NPPs or lack of decommissioning cost data. This uncertainty in cost estimation can be in general compensated for by applying a contingency. However, reflecting an appropriate standard for the contingency is also difficult. Therefore, in this study, data analysis was conducted based on the contingency guideline suggested by each institution and the actual cost of decommissioning the NPP. Subsequently, TLG Service, Inc.'s process, which recently suggested specific decommissioning costs, was matched with ISDC (International Structure for Decommissioning Costing)'s work breakdown structure (WBS). Based on the matching result, the guideline for applying the contingency for ISDC's WBS Level 1 were presented. This study will be helpful in cost estimation by applying appropriate contingency guidelines in countries or institutions that have no experience in decommissioning NPPs.

Despite the recognition of the need for productivity information and its importance, the feedback of productivity information is not well-established in the construction industry. Effective use of productivity information is required to improve the reliability of construction planning. However, in many cases, on-site productivity information is hardly management effectively, but rather it relies on the experience and/or intuition of project participants. Based on the literature review and expert interviews, the authors recognized that one of the possible solutions is to develop a systematic approach in dealing with productivity information of the construction job-sites. It is required that the new system should not be burdensome to users, purpose-oriented information management, easy-to follow information structure, real-time information feedback, and productivity-related factor recognition. Based on the preliminary investigations, this study proposed a framework for a novel system that facilitate the effective management of construction productivity information. This system has utilized Sketchup software which has good user accessibility by minimizing additional data input and related workload. The proposed system has been designed to input, process, and output the pertinent information through a four-stage process: preparation, input, processing, and output. The inputted construction information is classified into Task Breakdown Structure (TBS) and Material Breakdown Structure (MBS), which are constructed by referring to the contents of the standard specification of building construction, and converted into productivity information. In addition, the converted information is also graphically visualized on the screen, allowing the users to use the productivity information from the job-site. The productivity information management system proposed in this study has been pilot-tested in terms of practical applicability and information availability in the real construction project. Very positive results have been obtained from the usability and the applicability of the system and benefits are expected from the validity test of the system. If the proposed system is used in the planning stage in the construction, the productivity information and the continuous information is accumulated, the expected effectiveness of this study would be conceivably further enhanced.

The ESD(electrostatic discharge) protection performance of PPS(PMOS pass structure) embedded N-type silicon controlled rectifier(NSCR_PPS) device with different GPNS(Gate to Primary $N^+$ Diffusion Space) structure was discussed for high voltage I/O applications. A conventional NSCR_PPS standard device with FPW(Full P-Well) structure and non-CPS(Counter Pocket Source) implant shows typical SCR-like characteristics with low on-resistance(Ron), low snapback holding voltage(Vh) and low thermal breakdown voltage(Vtb), which may cause latch-up problem during normal operation. However, our proposed NSCR_PPS devices with modified PPW(Partial P-Well) structure and optimal CPS implant demonstrate the improved ESD protection performance as a function of GPNS variation. GPNS was a important parameter, which is satisfied design window of ESD protection device.

An analog array with a 1.2 double poly floating gate transistor has been developed with a standard CMOS fabrication process. The programming of each cell by means of an efficient control circuit eliminates the unnecessary erasing operation which has been widely used in conventional analog memories. It is seen that the path of the signal for both the programming and the reading is almost exactly the same since just one comparator supports both operations. It helps to eliminate the effects of the amplifier input-offset voltage problem on the output voltage for the read operation. In the array, there is no pass transistor isolating a cell of interest from the adjacent cells in the array. Instead of the extra transistors, one extra bias voltage, Vmid, is employed. The experimental results from the memory shows that the resolution of the memory is equivalent to the information content of at least six digital cells. Programming/erasing of each cell is achieved with no detectable disturbance of adjacent cells. Finally, the unique shape of the injector structure in a EEPROM is adopted as a cell of analog array. It reduces the programming voltage below the transistor breakdown voltage without any special fabrication process.

In this paper, we propose a novel method for converting the existing 2D processes in the design and construction phase of civil engineering, to the future BIM-based processes. First, we compare and analyze the actual application processes of the outputs of the existing 2D method and the outputs of the 3D BIM method, for the whole process of BIM design of earthworks and road structures and integrated utilization of quantity, process(4D) and construction cost(5D), in view of life-cycle. The proposed method acquire the outputs of the design phase integrating IFC international common standard file information and CBS/OBS/WBS standard classification scheme information, and acquire the outputs of the construction stage by using an integrated utilization module for quantity, process(4D) and construction cost(5D). Ultimately, we intend to commercialize the step by step technologies for BIM design and construction in civil engineering by using the proposed method.
