  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the sports injuries of korea women hockey players before and during the international KT Cup game This study was done by survey questions about injuries of 20 players. The results were as follows: 1. Before game types of injuries are muscular strain ($51\%$), ligament injury ($25\%$), contusion ($8\%$), fracture ($8\%$), abrasion ($8\%$). But the types during game appeared as contusion ($50\%$), ligament injury ($33.3\%$), muscular strain ($16.7\%$). 2. Before game regions of injuries are lower limbs ($45.5\%$), back/torso ($36.4\%$), upper limbs ($18.2\%$). But the regions during game appeared as upper limbs ($71.4\%$), lower limbs ($28.6\%$). 3. During the game, the injuries were caused by ball ($66\%$), collision ($17\%$), that fall ($17\%$). These results indicate the importance that players need enough stretching before they start exercise. Also, in order to protect their upper limbs, players must wear gloves before games

  • As the quality of life has improved with development of science and technology, desire for better quality of life of disable people has also increased. Currently, prejudiced views of disabled people in South Korea are changing, but sports for all disabled people is not revitalized and social support is also inadequate. In developed countries, administration and systems for sports among people with disabilities are provided at the consumer level, and many companies willingly provide support to disabled athletes. However, in South Korea, low awareness of sports for disabled people is companied by minimal support companies. In order for South Korea to advance, support for the disable sports players is needed, especially sports-wear that fits their body conditions and differences game playing from ordinary sports players. This study specifically focused on the ice sledge hockey players, taking into account the complaints on their jersey and their special conditions through motion analysis while sleds. For the easy use of the hockey, armhole depth and sleeve breadth was reduced and sleeve hem was designed for flexibility of sleeve such that it does not slide down. Also, because only the front of the Jersey is tucked in the pants, the side vent was designed to be deep such that the back hem is prevented from being pulled. Sportswear pattern making for the players with disabilities required to account for distinct body characteristics, as compared to the ordinary players. Thus, studies that develops sports-wear design for those with disabilities contributes to the qualitative development of sports for people with disabilities.

  • This study examines the factors influencing e-sports product consumption among Chinese e-sports game players. We focus on the popular game "King of Glory" and use surveys to collect player data. Our findings show that e-sports product characteristics significantly impact consumption experiences, while incentive factors also influence consumption willingness. External factors have minimal impact. Additionally, souvenir products and festival events are key in driving e-sports consumption. This research explores the consumption willingness of Chinese e-sports players, the world's largest consumer market. Understanding their needs can help companies develop targeted marketing strategies, unlocking the commercial potential of e-sports and promoting industry growth.

  • When enjoying sports activities with friends or others, sportswear has symbolic meanings to express and expect self-concept. Sports players sometimes have trouble when they feel embarrassed by their low skills or care about other people too much. Therefore, researchers tried to find out which feature of sports players affects dependence on brand sportswear along with the effect of wearing conspicuous sportswear on wearer when sports players have a conflict based on Solomon's symbolic interactionism. We proposed that role knowledge and attention to social comparison information (ATSCI) influenced people to depend on and use brand sportswear that influences a reflexive evaluation. Finally, we suggested that a changed self-concept would exert influence commitment to sports. A quantitative study was conducted employing an online survey of 121 people by convenient sampling. In this process, Google Docs was to create the online survey and to collect responses by participants. In data processing, via SPSS 21.0 version for Windows, exploratory factor analysis, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, ANOVA, t-test, discriminant and regression analysis were conducted to study the relationship between variables. The finding provided evidence that low role knowledge and high ATSCI create high dependence on brand sportswear and influence people to buy sportswear. When people bought and wore a brand sportswear, they evaluated themselves as professional sports players who were more committed to sports. This study confirmed that brand sportswear was useful for sport players to change self-evaluation and enjoy sports.

  • PURPOSE: This study examined sports injuries among national sitting volleyball players and to provide baseline data for the development of programs to prevent injuries and enhance performance. METHODS: The study surveyed 21 national team athletes (12 males and nine females) participating in the 4th Hangzhou Asian Para Games. The questionnaire consisted of 17 items, including general information, type of disability, sites and types of sports injuries and their causes, the current state of sports injuries and the treatment and management of injuries. RESULTS: The survey results suggested that the most common injury sites were the finger, shoulder, and waist. The most frequent types of injuries were sprain, muscle cramp, and LBP. The causes were insufficient warm-up, playing unhealed and carelessness. Injuries were most prevalent during morning training and in the winter. Most injuries occurred in practice, and the actions most likely to cause injuries were blocking, spike and sitting movements. Ice and spray were the most common treatments, usually administered by the athletes themselves. Physical therapy was the most common post-injury management, and the most common sequelae involved continuing to use despite pain. CONCLUSION: Based on these results, systematic and individualized training and therapeutic support tailored to the characteristics of sitting volleyball and the types of disabilities are necessary to prevent and manage sports injuries among national players. Continuous injury management by medical staff, particularly physical therapists, is essential to maintain the health of disabled athletes.

  • Over the years application of computer vision techniques in sports videos for analysis have garnered interest among researchers. Videos of sports games like basketball, football are available in plenty due to heavy popularity and coverage. The goal of the researchers is to extract information from sports videos for analytics which requires the tracking of the players. In this paper, we explore use of deep learning networks for player spotting and propose an algorithm for tracking using Kalman filters. We also propose an algorithm for finding distance covered by players. Experiments on sports video datasets have shown promising results when compared with standard techniques like mean shift filters.

The sports injuries due to football play occurred most commonly in soil play-ground(79.6 %), during training(52.3 %), and in winter time(33.7 %). 3. The commonly occurred injuries by motion were coalition(39.2 %), tackle(12.9 %), dribble (11.4 %) in order; those by sorts were contusion(34.4 %), sprain (32.9 %), spasm(9.0 %) ; and those by body portions lower extremities(82 %), trunk(17.6 %), upper extremities(12.5 %). 4. The frequently used treatment area was home care as in 42.7 % ; treatment methods were physical therapy, acupuncture/moxacautery, rest, operation in order; choices of treatment method were recommendation by coach/manager, and that by medical professional was the lowest as in 2.2 %. 5. If sports injury occurred during play, coach or manager let the players take rest in 56.2 %, but emergent management by medical professional was done only in 1.9 %. The return to play was decided mostly by the player himself(52.8 %), but that decided by a doctor was only in 1.0 %. In conclusion, to lessen the sports injuries due to football play, annual physical check-up, strengthening of play rules, improvement of playground, conditioning exercise, regulation of body protectors, and preventive training for expected injuries behaviors should be done and the decision to return to play and emergent management should be done by a medical professional as well.
