Since the variations of illumination, the irregular changes of human shapes, and the partial occlusions, multiple person tracking is a challenging work in computer vision. In this paper, we propose a graph clustering method based on spatio-temporal information of moving objects for multiple person tracking. First, the part-based model is utilized to localize individual foreground regions in each frame. Then, we heuristically leverage the spatio-temporal constraints to generate a set of reliable tracklets. Finally, the graph shift method is applied to handle tracklet association problem and consequently generate the completed trajectory for individual object. The extensive comparison experiments demonstrate the superiority of the proposed method.

In this paper we propose a feature point tracking algorithm using optical flow under non-prior taming active feature model (NPT-AFM). The proposed algorithm mainly focuses on analysis non-rigid objects[1], and provides real-time, robust tracking by NPT-AFM. NPT-AFM algorithm can be divided into two steps: (i) localization of an object-of-interest and (ii) prediction and correction of the object position by utilizing the inter-frame information. The localization step was realized by using a modified Shi-Tomasi's feature tracking algoriam[2] after motion-based segmentation. In the prediction-correction step, given feature points are continuously tracked by using optical flow method[3] and if a feature point cannot be properly tracked, temporal and spatial prediction schemes can be employed for that point until it becomes uncovered again. Feature points inside an object are estimated instead of its shape boundary, and are updated an element of the training set for AFH Experimental results, show that the proposed NPT-AFM-based algerian can robustly track non-rigid objects in real-time.
The term residence time is defined as the time taken for substances in a system to leave the system and is a useful concept to explain the physical environment characteristics of a coastal area. It is important to know the spatial characteristics of the residence time to understand the behavioral properties of pollutants generated in a marine system. In this study, the spatial distribution of average residence time was calculated for Gangjin Bay, Korea, using a hydrodynamic model including a particle tracking module. The results showed that the average residence time was about 10 days at the surface layer and about 20 days at the bottom layer. Spatially, this was the longest residence time in the southwestern sea. There was no significant difference in average residence time at the surface layer due to freshwater discharge, but spatial variation at the bottom layer was larger. The average residence time at the bottom layer decreased in the southwestern area due to freshwater discharge and increased in the northern area. This result suggests that the residence time of anthropogenic pollutants may have a large spatial difference depending on the freshwater discharge, and thus the time taken to influence cultured organisms may also vary.
This paper presents a numerical study of the spatial behavior of a linear absorbing solute in a heterogeneous porous medium. The spatially correlated log-normal hydraulic conductivity field is generated in a given two-dimensional domain by using the geostatistical method (Turning Bands algorithm). The velocity vector field is calculated by applying the two-dimensional saturated groundwater flow equation to the Galerkin finite element method. The simulation of solute transport is carried out by using the random walk particle tracking model with CD(constant displacement) scheme in which the time interval is automatically adjusted. In this study, the spatial behavior of a solute is analyzed by the longitudinal center-of-mass displacement, longitudinal spatial spread moment and longitudinal plume skewness.

This paper deals with human spatial cognition using visual and auditory stimulation. More specially, this investigation is to observe the relationship between the head and the eye motor system for the localization of visual target direction in space and to try to describe what is the role of right-side versus left-side pinna. In the experiment of visual stimulation, nineteen red LEDs (Luminescent Diodes, Brightness: $210\;cd/^2$) arrayed in the horizontal plane of the surrounding panel are used. Here the LEDs are located 10 degrees apart from each other. Physiological parameters such as EOG (Electro-Oculography), head movement, and their synergic control are measured by BIOPAC system and 3SPACE FASTRAK. In the experiment of auditory stimulation, one side of the pinna function was distorted intentionally by inserting a short tube in the ear canal. The localization error caused by right and left side pinna distortion was investigated as well. Since a laser pointer showed much less error (0.5%) in localizing target position than FASTRAK (30%) that has been generally used, a laser pointer was used for the pointing task. It was found that harmonic components were not essential for auditory target localization. However, non-harmonic nearby frequency components was found to be more important in localizing the target direction of sound. We have found that the right pinna carries out one of the most important functions in localizing target direction and pure tone with only one frequency component is confusing to be localized. It was also found that the latency time is shorter in self moved tracking (SMT) than eye alone tracking (EAT) and eye hand tracking (EHT). These results can be used in further study on the characterization of human spatial cognition.

Recently, a tracking algorithm called the spatial-temporal context model has been proposed to locate a target by using the contextual information around the target. This model has achieved excellent results when the target undergoes slight occlusion and appearance changes. However, the target location in the current frame is based on the location in the previous frame, which will lead to failure in the presence of fast motion because of the lack of a prediction mechanism. In addition, the spatial context model is updated frame by frame, which will undoubtedly result in drift once the target is occluded continuously. This paper proposes two improvements to solve the above two problems: First, four possible positions of the target in the current frame are predicted based on the displacement between the previous two frames, and then, we calculate four confidence maps at these four positions; the target position is located at the position that corresponds to the maximum value. Second, we propose a target reliability criterion and design an adaptive threshold to regulate the updating speed of the model. Specifically, we stop updating the model when the reliability is lower than the threshold. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm achieves better tracking results than traditional STC and other algorithms.

With the advent of the fourth industrial revolution, studies on driving management and driving strategies of autonomous vehicles are emerging. While obtaining microscopic traffic data on vehicles is essential for such research, we also see that conventional traffic data collection methods cannot collect the driving behavior of individual vehicles. In this study, UAV videos were used to collect traffic data from the viewpoint of the aerial base that is microscopic. To overcome the limitations of the related research in the literature, the micro-traffic data were estimated using the multiple object tracking of deep learning and an image registration technique. As a result, the speed obtained error rates of MAE 3.49 km/h, RMSE 4.43 km/h, and MAPE 5.18 km/h, and the traffic obtained a precision of 98.07% and a recall of 97.86%.

In this paper, we propose a new color histogram model for object tracking. The proposed model incorporates the color arrangement of the target that encodes the relative spatial distribution of the colors inside the object. Using the color arrangement, we can determine which color bin is more reliable for tracking. Based on the proposed color histogram model, we derive a mean shift framework using a modified Bhattacharyya distance. In addition, we present a method of updating an object scale and a target model to cope with changes in the target appearance. Unlike conventional mean shift based methods, our algorithm produces satisfactory results even when the object being tracked shares similar colors with the background.

The real-time traffic data is generated continuous and unbounded stream data type while intelligent transport system (ITS) needs to provide various and high quality services by combining with spatial information. Traditional database techniques in ITS has shortage for processing dynamic real-time stream data and static spatial data simultaneously. In this paper, we design and implement an advanced traffic monitoring system (ATMS) with the integration of existed data stream management system (DSMS) and spatial DBMS using IntraMap. Besides, the developed ATMS can deal with the stream data of DSMS, the trajectory data of relational DBMS, and the spatial data of SDBMS concurrently. The implemented ATMS supports historical and one time query, continuous query and combined query. Application programmer can develop various intelligent services such as moving trajectory tracking, k-nearest neighbor (KNN) query and dynamic intelligent navigation by using components of the ATMS.
This research is about the characteristics of the saccades that occurring in the process of observing the spatial. The size of the saccades is the visual activity for acquiring the information, and the search trace that left by the spatial visitor. Reviewed over the saccade through the analysis of observation process that appeared in the eye-tracking experiment of sports store from the department store, the saccade is defined as the sight movement in the process of finding a component to view in the spatial. If some spatial component induces saccade, and able to know which specific component acquired through the saccade, then the designer will have a clue which able to provide the spatial desired by the consumer. The results of analyzing the process in the deriving the spatial component and saccade characteristic from industrial space, can be summarised as follows. The first, the average fixed number of [IN].[OUT] zone appeared similarly, and it leads to knowing that the time used for attention with one frequency is about 0.3 seconds. Second, there were more saccades toward [$IN{\rightarrow}OUT$] (13 persons, 76.5%) than [$OUT{\rightarrow}IN$] (4 persons, 23.5%). The Los Angeles area has lots of interesting things to watch, so it able to thinks to begins with small saccade and then occur to bigger saccade activity to find new interests shortly after [OUT] saccade. Third, according to time range changes, keep eyes on the characteristics of saccade, [IN].[OUT] frequency has slightly decreased the changes of viewing time, but there was no significant change in an average number of observations. This means that the frequency and the number of observations are decreased together. Therefore, it can be seen that the amount of information to be acquired (frequency) is decreased (count) as the observation time elapses.
