청주 원도심 내 현존하는 옛마을의 공간구성 변화 - 탑동 '양달말'을 대상으로 - (The Transitional Process of Spatial Configuration of Existing Old Settlements in Cheongju City - with Case Study on Topdong 'Yangdalmal' -)

  • The purpose of this study is to clarify the transitional process of spatial configuration of 'Topdong Yangdalmal'; One of the existing 22 old settlements in cheongju city. The results are as follows. 1) Side roads are derived from Inner road until 1970, so large-scale lots are subdivided small-scale lots. The houses are mostly in 1970s and 1980s. The existing old houses are 11, their orientation are East South, and the entrance gives on side road. The orientation, court yard, and entrance of the houses nearby side roads keep ongoing, in spite of alteration and extension. Especially, Entrance is changed by the new arterial roads and subdivided lots, but, the houses nearby side roads are continued as in the past. 2) The newly built houses in 1970's are 20, and it's arrangements are equal to existing old one. The orientation of houses after 1980's is the same in 1970's. But, the entrance is changed by subdivided lots, and the size of the court yard are reduced or disappeared. In other hand, the houses as the same size of the existing houses, and Storyincrease continue court yard as in the past. Therefore, the houses which are nearby inner road, and increase story, are continued, in spite of the newly built one.

  • 모바일매핑시스템은 차량에 GPS(Global Positioning System), IMU(Inertial Measurement Unit), CCD 등을 탑재하고 대상에 관한 위치 및 영상 정보를 취득하는 효율적인 시스템이다. 모바일매핑시스템은 현재 도로 시설물 관리, 지도 갱신 등 다양한 분야에 활용되고 있으며 앞으로 그 활용도가 더욱 증가할 것으로 보인다. 항공사진측량과 같은 기존의 일반적인 사진측량의 경우, 영상 외부표정요소를 구하기 위해서는 지상기준점이 필요하다. 이러한 기준점들은 자료취득 전후에 현장측량을 통해 좌표가 결정되는데 일반적으로 많은 비용과 시간이 소요되고, 사실 영상을 취득할 도로를 따라 필요한 만큼 충분히 많은 기준점을 설치한다는 것도 거의 불가능하다. 하지만 모바일매핑 시스텔의 경우 GPS/INS를 이용해 영상촬영당시의 카메라의 위치 및 자세, 즉 외부표정요소를 직접적으로 구할 수 있어 시간과 비용 면에서 훨씬 효율적이다. 즉 외부표정요소를 결정하기 위해 영상표정기법은 지상기준점이 필요한 반면, 직접위치참조기법은 GPS/INS를 이용해 직접 외부표정요소를 구할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 영상표정 기법과 직접위치참조기법에서 산출되는 영상외부표정요소를 이용해 지상점의 위치정확도에 대해 비교 분석해 보았다.

觀稼亭'의 경계구조분석을 통한 공간적 특성 (A Study on the Spatial Characteristics of 'Gwan-gajung' by Analysis of Boundary)

  • The purpose of this study is to make clear the identity of Korean traditional housing. And I'm trying to search characteristics of boundary in Korean traditional housing. In this study, I have analyzed boundary of ‘Gwan-gajung’. It is constructed on a square shaped plan, there is an elegant middle court, and a counter-roofed shrine house in the rear of the inner building. In this study, the definition of boundary is made based on what has been perceived as the proper structure, whose characteristics can be described in terms of openness, inside and outside parts and orientation. As a critical factor to spatial qualities, boundary is closely related with the connection and disconnection, background and atmosphere, and inferior and superior relations and hierarchical order from the view of space. The result of study is like followings. The characteristics of boundary in Korean traditional housing is 1. one way direction of penetrability, 2. having the face and the back 3. orientation 4. duplication.

SPATIAL DISTRIBUTION OF THE SPIN VECTORS OF THE DISK GALAXIES IN THE VIRGO CLUSTER

  • In order to investigate the spatial orientation of the spin vectors of galaxies in the Virgo cluster, we carried out a detailed identification of all the certain and possible member disk galaxies with four UK Schmidt Telescope (UKST) III a-j direct plates digitized by the Automated Plate Measuring System (APM). As a result, a relatively large and complete database with no selection effect of the member galaxies has been established. We provide the APM measured values of the position angle (P.A.) and diameters at the isophotal level of 24.5 $m_j / arcsec^2$. Based on this newly generated database, an initial study on the spatial orientation of the spin vectors of galaxies in the Virgo cluster is shown.

Characteristics of Visuo-Spatial Information Processing in Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder

  • Although atypical sensory processing is a core feature of autism spectrum disorder (ASD), there is considerable heterogeneity among ASD individuals in the modality and symptoms of atypical sensory processing. The present study examined visual processing of children with ASD, focusing on the complexity and orientation of visual information. Age- and -IQ-matched Korean children (14 ASD and 14 typically-developing (TD) children) received an orientation discrimination task involving static spatial gratings varied in complexity (simple versus complex) and orientation (horizontal versus vertical). The results revealed that ASD children had difficulty perceiving complex information regardless of orientation, whereas TD children had more difficulty with vertical gratings than horizontal gratings. Thus, group-level differences between ASD and TD children appeared greater when gratings were presented horizontally. Unlike ASD adult literature, however, ASD children did not show superior performance on simple gratings. Our findings on typical and atypical processing of ASD children have implications for both understanding the characteristics of ASD children and developing diagnostic tools for ASD.

Efficient Processing of Spatial Preference Queries in Spatial Network Databases

  • Given a positive integer k as input, a spatial preference query finds the k best data objects based on the scores (e.g., qualities) of feature objects in their spatial neighborhoods. Several solutions have been proposed for spatial preference queries in Euclidean space. A few algorithms study spatial preference queries in undirected spatial networks where each edge is undirected and the distance between two points is the length of the shortest path connecting them. However, spatial preference queries have not been thoroughly investigated in directed spatial networks where each edge has a particular orientation that makes the distance between two points noncommutative. Therefore, in this study, we present a new method called ALPS+ for processing spatial preference queries in directed spatial networks. We conduct extensive experiments with different setups to demonstrate the superiority of ALPS+ over conventional solutions.

단사진의 외부표정요소 결정을 위한 후방교회법 알고리즘의 비교 (Comparisons of Single Photo Resection Algorithms for the Determination of Exterior Orientation Parameters)

  • 본 연구는 사진측량, 컴퓨터 비전, 로보틱스 등의 분야에서 사용되는 외부표정요소를 결정하는 단사진의 후방교회법의 알고리즘을 비교하는 것이 목적이다. 이를 위해 항공사진 및 근거리 사진측량에서 사용되고 있는 카메라를 기준으로 지형을 시뮬레이션하여 실험 데이터를 생성하여 알고리즘을 비교하였다. 거의 수직으로 촬영되는 항공사진측량용 카메라에 대한 실험을 통해서 3개의 지상기준점으로도 외부표정요소를 결정할 수 있었으나 프로쿠르스테스 알고리즘은 지상기준점 배치에 민감하였다. 카메라의 자세각이 크게 변하는 근거리 사진측량용 카메라를 대상으로한 실험에서도 프로쿠르스테스 알고리즘의 지상기준점 배치에 민감하였으며 모든 알고리즘이 적어도 6개의 지상기준점이 필요하였다. 두 종류의 카메라를 대상으로 한 실험을 통해서 코사인법칙 기반의 후방교회법은 반복회수가 짧고 명시적인 초기값이 필요하지 않기 때문에 전통적인 사진측량 알고리즘과 유사한 성능을 나타내는 것을 알 수 있었다.

물(水)의 풍수론적 시각에서 본 전통마을의 입지와 공간구성의 해석에 관한 연구 - 하회.양동마을을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Interpretation of Spatial Composition and Location of Traditional Village from the Water of Feng-Shui Theory - in the case of villages of Hawei and Yangdong -)

  • This study, from conditions connected with water in Feng-Shui theory, is to find out their influence of the location and spatial composition of the studied villages, Hawei and Yangdong, and then to offer the result as basic data for the study of the traditional village in the future. The study method is to analyze topography by the map and present state of villages studied, to interprete them on the base of location, spatial composition, and chi, and then to analyze the relevancy of Feng-Shui theory of them. The result of the study are to be following: Houses of Hawei village are situated on the inside of a winding stream of waterway, while those of Yang dong village are located on the outside of a winding stream of waterway. In case of Hawei village, showed the close interrelation between the distribution of present houses and running speed of waterway by positin. Judging from the location, orientation and surroundings of mountains and waterway, topographical composition of Hawei village is Duk su guk, but that of Yang dong village is Juang feng guk. Comparing with Yang dong and Hawei in location and spatial composition, the conditions of waterway as being locational factor, for example, the geomancy of situation, orientation, and phisical phenomena(lenth, width, and depth of waterway in front of village) of waterway, are more importantly considered in Hawei village being situated on even land than in Yang dong located at the foot of the mountain.

교구를 활용한 중학교 공간능력 향상을 위한 수업에서 학습의 효과 (An Effect of Students' Learning for Spatial Ability Using a Geometric Manipulative)

  • The study was to investigate an effect of students' learning for enhancing spatial ability, using a geometric manipulative recently designed. A mixed methodology was chosen to achieve the purpose of the study. To find students' achievement, 152 of the 8th graders in Kyunggi Do participated in data collection. At the same time. students' performance of the class was videotaped and analyzed to see students' responses, The results showed that the effect of using the manipulative was statistically significant at level, p<.05 to enhance the spatial ability. Specifically, in comparison of each component. spatial orientation was more effective than spatial visualization. In the spatial orientation, the part of field was more effective than the reorganized whole. It showed that students were given more opportunities to find mathematical properties and relations between 2nd and 3rd-dimensional figures through their intuitive observation, and also the manipulative helped the students find the property of the part of field because it gave an easy way to manipulate the property of the find parts of whole which was composed of the frame of the solid figures without surfaces. In using the manipulative, students were very flexible in finding the number of plane figures, but the relations between the 2nd and 3rd dimensional figures need to be clearly guided in consideration of the characteristics of the manipulative, based on the definitions of geometric properties(cf. points can make lines, not surfaces directly).

초등학교 수학교과서에서 전개도 제시에 관한 국제 비교 (An International Comparison of Nets of Solids Presented in Elementary Mathematics Textbooks)

  • 전개도는 우리나라 제 1차 교육과정부터 초등학교 수학교과서에서 꾸준히 다루어져 온 전통적인 교육내용이며, 주로 입체도형의 성질을 알아보거나 겉넓이를 구하기 위해 지도되어 왔다. 하지만 공간 감각에 대한 중요성이 점점 강조되고 있는 현 시점에서 전개도는 공간 감각을 다루기 위한 매우 적절한 학습 소재가 될 수 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 우리나라 초등학교 수학 교육과정과 교과서에서 전개도가 어떻게 지도되어 왔는지 살펴보고, 이를 바탕으로 일본, 싱가포르, 핀란드, 홍콩의 교과서에서 다루고 있는 전개도 관련 내용을 분석하였다. 이를 통해 공간 시각화와 공간 방향화의 향상 측면에서 올바른 전개도를 찾는 활동의 강화, 다양한 각도에서 본 입체도형의 모습 제시, 무늬가 들어간 입체도형의 전개도 활용을 시사점으로 제안하였다.
