  • This study has importance of that it verifies applicability of a new interpretation of surrealism to spatial design. Transcendental cognitive form of idealism, concept of time and space are premise of reality and surreality is finally condensed to the matter of time and space. Surrealistic techniques are automatic description, double association, montage and etc, and all of them are trials to approach to essence of images expressing unconsciousness through spatiotemporal changes of object. The purpose of this study is to find the surrealistic methods that can be applied to spatial design.

  • Several models predict large and potentially abrupt ocean circulation changes due to anthropogenic greenhouse-gas emissions. These circulation changes drive-in the models-considerable oceanic oxygen trend. A sound estimate of the observed oxygen trends can hence be a powerful tool to constrain predictions of future changes in oceanic deepwater formation, heat and carbon dioxide uptake. Estimating decadal scale oxygen trends is, however, a nontrivial task and previous studies have come to contradicting conclusions. One key potential problem is that changes in the historical observation network might introduce considerable errors. Here we estimate the likely magnitude of these errors for a subset of the available observations in the Southern Ocean. We test three common data analysis methods south of Australia and focus on the decadal-scale trends between the 1970's and the 1990's. Specifically, we estimate errors due to sparsely sampled observations using a known signal (the time invariant, temporally averaged, World Ocean Atlas 2001) as a negative control. The crossover analysis and the objective analysis methods are for less prone to spatial sampling location biases than the area averaging method. Subject to numerous caveats, we find that errors due to sparse sampling for the area averaging method are on the order of several micro-moles $kg^{-1}$. for the crossover and the objective analysis method, these errors are much smaller. For the analyzed example, the biases due to changes in the spatial design of the historical observation network are relatively small compared to the tends predicted by many model simulations. This raises the possibility to use historic oxygen trends to constrain model simulations, even in sparsely sampled ocean basins.

  • This study includes spatial variations in the catch of billfishes in the Pacific Ocean and examines factors affecting interannual changes in the catch. Main billfish species caught by Korean tuna longline fishery were blue marlin and swordfish. A main fishing ground of the species was the tropical Pacific Ocean, while additional fishing ground of billfishes tended to be formed in the Pacific coast of Mexico in the El Nino periods. Further, the catch of billfishes was significantly related to CPUE (tons/average of the used hooks/vessel) in the entire Pacific Ocean as an index of stock abundance and equatorial SOI (EQSOI) as an index of El Nino event. Annual changes in the catch of billfishes in the Pacific Ocean could be regulated mainly by variations of stock abundance. In addition, increase of the density of billfishes in the tropical Pacific and additional formation of fishing ground by El Nino event possibly contribute to increase of the catch of billfishes in the Pacific Ocean. On the other hand, linear regression model may be more adequate in the analysis of relationships between fisheries data and indices made from using some environmental factors.

  • Purpose: Recently, a sudden increase in one household in Korea has become an important social problem. Changes in lifestyles such as population change, marriage, childbirth, and divorce are becoming increasing factors for single-family households. As a result of these changes, the government has implemented policies for one accredited state. However, the policy for one domestic applicant is insufficient compared to other countries. As a measure to cope with the increase in the number of applicants, Shared House has emerged and research on Shared House is necessary. Method: First, we analyze the overall characteristics of domestic share house. And it does a spatial analysis of domestic share house. Especially, it analyzes the relationship between private space and public space. Finally, the plan characteristics are derived based on the analysis results. Result: The results are as follows. First, the type of share house is classified according to the combination of the arrangement of private space and the public space. Second, the larger the scale, the more vertical arrangement than horizontal arrangement. Finally, the character of the share house changes according to the characteristics of the resident.

  • Trying to estimate variations of the riverbed is basic and important for river management. When new dam constructed in upstream and a structure were planned, impact of the riverbed changes in downstream should be considered for stably maintained and sustained rivers in the future. In this study, long-term riverbed changes analyzed using aerial photographs in Naeseongcheon. Also applying one-dimensional numerical model, GSTARS analyzed the effects of bed deformation in critical points. Based on Changing Patterns of long-term riverbed, it is possible that after the dam was built, to explore how to manage Naeseongcheon.

  • The purpose of this study is that suggest space composition in rural village so that it can had foundations for Activation of regional community by analysis and re-organization of rural community places based on regionality and historicity. First, this study have been investigated about changes of overall space configuration and community places that has been lost or were ongoing in rural village. Factors of changes were changes in lifestyle, rural policy, social and political system, economic principles and ect. Therefore, This study focused on understanding basic principles of rural village space configuration and inherited it. Second, basic principle of the space configuration of rural village were entryway and center that improve community cohesion in the community space. This study figured out improving of "Ma-Dang" and functional mix-use community hall was important for more efficient management. Third, This study set direction according to characteristic of space configuration of each village and suggested detail plans.

  • During the period of 2002 to 2017, the Gravity Recovery And Climate Experiment (GRACE) had observed time-varying gravity changes with unprecedented accuracy. The GRACE science data centers provide the monthly gravity solutions after removing the sub-monthly mass fluctuation using geophysical models. However, model misfit makes the solutions to be contaminated by aliasing errors, which exhibits peculiar north-south stripes. Two conventional filters are used to reduce the errors, but signals with similar spatial patterns to the errors are also removed during the filtering procedure. This would be particularly problematic for estimating the ice mass changes in Western Antarctic Ice Sheet (WAIS) and Antarctic Peninsula (AP) due to their similar spatial pattern to the elongated north-south direction. In this study, we introduce an alternative filter to remove aliasing errors using the Empirical Orthogonal Functions (EOF) analysis. EOF can decompose data into different modes, and thus is useful to separate signals from noise. Therefore, the aliasing errors are effectively suppressed through EOF method. In particular, the month-to-month mass changes in WAIS and AP, which have been significantly contaminated by aliasing errors, can be recovered using EOF method.

  • The study used the whole-life carbon assessment method to conduct a thorough carbon-neutral evaluation of a standard steel structure. To further assess carbon emissions, 11 design-changed models were evaluated, with changes made to the span between beams and columns. The results of the carbon emission assessment showed savings of approximately 13.1% by implementing the stage of the beyond life cycle. Additionally, the evaluation of carbon emissions through design changes revealed a difference of up to 42.2%. These findings confirmed that recycling and structural design changes can significantly reduce carbon emissions by up to 48.6%, making it an effective means of achieving carbon neutrality. It is therefore necessary to apply the stage of beyond life cycle and structural change to reduce carbon emissions.

  • In this study, the change characteristics of urban spatial structure in Daegu were analyzed connecting with urban planning for efficient urban management. Urban development process from 1970 to 2010 in Daegu was analyzed utilizing Getis-Ord $G_i^*$ methodology, a spatial statistical method, and it was identified that Daegu was in the stage of disurbanization. However, as Daegu orients multi-nuclei city, it was difficult to explain the stage of urban development after disurbanization in 2000. Accordingly, to analyze detailed changes in spatial structure in multi-centric areas after 2000, population, land price and employment factor changes were analyzed using Bachi Measurement. According to analytical results, multi-centralization process has been continued in Daegu. Urban core area and Chilgok area showed spatial structure change into distribution process, Ansim area into concentration process, and Seongseo and Talseo area into concentration and distribution process. Therefore, urban planning considering the regional characteristics are needed for efficient urban management.
