호텔 로비공간에서 시지각적 인지에 영향을 미치는 랜드마크 공간요소의 표현 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the special property in presentation of spatial factors in a landmark of a hotel lobby, which affects visual cognition)

  • A lobby of a hotel is an important space by which the image of a hotel as a whole, the brand-identity, is determined. This study has researched and analyzed the special property in presentation of a landmark in a hotel lobby for its spatial factors, which affects visual cognition, and it is to provide information that can set out the foundation of space design for the appropriate landmark in a certain hotel lobby corresponding to the unique characteristics of a hotel. The regional range of this study includes the lobby spaces of 10 five-star hotels in Shanghai China and Seoul Korea. The types of spatial factors as landmarks and manifestation of those, which affect the visual cognition of the users are the range of context in this study. For this study, field-study and survey were both used in research. The results that have been concluded through this study are as follow. First, manifestational quality of a landmark in a hotel lobby is represented in its size, figure and contrast of 'shape', in its visibility and territory of 'space' and in its symbolic value and historical property of 'meaning', and each of those factors are related to the others. Secondly, the types of spatial factors in a landmark are displayed as being focused on the openness of the space or with large-scaled spatial factors. Light and lumination intensify the manifestation of various spatial factors in a landmark. Thirdly, each representational characteristic of spatial factors in a landmark, which are closely linked to each other should be controlled precisely in order to bring out functional and symbolic feature of a hotel lobby.

  • 공간 지각은 일반적으로 물체(형태)를 인식하는 능력에 대한 문제로 여겨진다. 대안적으로, 형태 지각 연구는 시각 공간의 기하학에 관한 논의에 기여한다. 이러한 공간의 기하학은 일반적으로 유클리드가 아닌, 타원, 유사성, 또는 아핀(affine) 기하학으로 알려져 왔다. 다시 말해, 많은 형태 지각 연구들에서 보여 왔듯, 공간은 변형된 기하학으로 지각된다. 이 논문의 목적은 지각된 형태와 시각적으로 유도되는 행동과 관련된 시각 공간의 기하학에 대한 이해를 돕기 위함이다. 따라서 지각과 행위의 관계에 대해 설명하고 있는 두 이론을 비교해 본다. 제한된 인지와 더 나아가서, 인공 지능 연구와의 융합에 있어서 이러한 인간의 기본적인 공간 지각 능력과 시각적으로 유도되는 행위를 먼저 이해하는 것이 중요하다.

유럽형 디지털 지상파 방송 서비스와 스펙트럼 인지 기반 개인/휴대형 TVBD와의 간섭분석 (Interference Analysis of the European Digital Terrestrial Broadcasting Service and the Personal/Portable TVBD based on Spectrum Cognition)

  • 본 논문은 TV 화이트 스페이스(TV white space) 대역에서 1차 우선 사용자인 DVB-T2(Digital Video Broadcasting - Second Generation Terrestrial) 차세대 유럽형 방송 서비스와 스펙트럼 인지 기능이 탑재된 IMT-Advanced LTE 기반 개인/휴대용 TVBD(TV Band Device) 무선기기와의 공존 가능성 파악을 위해 간섭분석을 수행하였다. 이를 위해 실제 유럽에서 적용되는 DVB-T2와 TVBD 각각에 대해 방사 및 블로킹 마스크, 안테나 높이 및 이득, 전송전력 및 대역폭, 송수신 링크에 대한 채널모델을 적용하였다. 이를 기반으로 DVB-T2의 인접채널에서 동작 가능한 TVBD 사용자의 허용가능 전송전력과 개수, 간섭환률 변화량에 대한 분석을 수행하였다. 또한 스펙트럼 인지 성능에 따른 허용가능 TVBD 총 개수의 변화량에 대해서도 분석을 수행하였다.

Human Spatial Cognition Using Visual and Auditory Stimulation

  • This paper deals with human spatial cognition using visual and auditory stimulation. More specially, this investigation is to observe the relationship between the head and the eye motor system for the localization of visual target direction in space and to try to describe what is the role of right-side versus left-side pinna. In the experiment of visual stimulation, nineteen red LEDs (Luminescent Diodes, Brightness: $210\;cd/^2$) arrayed in the horizontal plane of the surrounding panel are used. Here the LEDs are located 10 degrees apart from each other. Physiological parameters such as EOG (Electro-Oculography), head movement, and their synergic control are measured by BIOPAC system and 3SPACE FASTRAK. In the experiment of auditory stimulation, one side of the pinna function was distorted intentionally by inserting a short tube in the ear canal. The localization error caused by right and left side pinna distortion was investigated as well. Since a laser pointer showed much less error (0.5%) in localizing target position than FASTRAK (30%) that has been generally used, a laser pointer was used for the pointing task. It was found that harmonic components were not essential for auditory target localization. However, non-harmonic nearby frequency components was found to be more important in localizing the target direction of sound. We have found that the right pinna carries out one of the most important functions in localizing target direction and pure tone with only one frequency component is confusing to be localized. It was also found that the latency time is shorter in self moved tracking (SMT) than eye alone tracking (EAT) and eye hand tracking (EHT). These results can be used in further study on the characterization of human spatial cognition.

The Impact of Social Network Service, Trust and Cognition on Customer Loyalty in Internet Shopping

  • The development of information technology improves the globalization of the world economy. This change was able to expand the cyber space, and the online community known as the cyber community is made within the existing offline community. From the cyber community's activity, the concept of social network services created, and recently developed social computing. Social computing is the current situation and the next step in the online community. Currently, most CIOs are using social computing for workplace empowerment. As online transactions become more active, the strategy to increase customer loyalty in Internet shopping is an effective tool to increase profit for the company, and as a method to maintain competitive. With the growth of electronic commerce, through insurance of customer loyalty on the Internet, a company can establish a long-term relationship with customers, so for this, it is important to have reliable relationship with customers. Also, through advertisement and commercial information, the cognition of Internet shopping looks can be effective in retaining customers. In this study, it explores how social computing and trust and cognition of Internet shopping are effective in maintaining customer loyalty. As the result of study, the trust and cognition of Internet shopping are significantly effective on customer loyalty, but the sense of social computing. Still, social computing has not matured enough to be as effective in retaining customer loyalty. However, it does indicate that social computing has significantly increased the trust and cognition in Internet shopping. In this study, as the concepts of the social network service and social computing are applied in Internet shopping, which are actively discussed by scholars, it is expected that the basis of the study could improve and present the idea of social shopping.

  • This study was intended to examine the changes of housing in the context of women's status since civilization in Korea. The purpose was accomplished by review of existing related literature. It was concluded that the changes of women's status due to social changes had meaningful influences on various characteristics of housing. The location of kitchen, housing service, there cognition of housing as a shared space for the family are those which were influenced by changes of women's status.

자연환경 기반형 관광.휴양목적지 시설물에 대한 방문객 공간인지도 분석 - 남이섬 관광지 사례를 중심으로 - (Analysis of Spatial Cognition of Visitors to Natural Environment-based Tourism.Resort Facilities - A Case Study of NAMI Island -)

  • 본 연구는 관광지 시설물에 대한 방문객의 공간인지도 분석을 통해 방문객의 공간인지도 향상을 위한 시설물 계획 및 관리적 측면의 개선방안과 시사점을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 연구의 목적달성을 위해 방문객의 시설물에 대한 공간인지도와 시설물 특성 및 방문객 특성 등의 공간인지도 영향요소에 대한 연구모형을 설정하였으며, 이를 토대로 남이섬 관광지 방문객을 대상으로 실증분석을 수행하였다. 분석결과, 시설물 유형, 입지 등의 시설물 특성과 성별, 연령, 안내지도 사용 등의 방문객 특성이 방문객의 공간인지도와 통계적으로 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 남이섬의 경우에는 식 음료시설에 대한 매력성, 상징성 강화 등의 재정비가 요구되며, 종반부 시설물에 대한 정보제공 시설의 추가설치 및 재배치가 필요한 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구의 결과는 관광지 시설물의 효율적인 계획과 관리를 위해 시설물 및 방문객 특성 등의 공간인지도 영향요소에 대한 면밀한 분석과 반영의 필요성을 시사한다. 특히, 방문객의 공간인지도는 관광지의 공간적 성격과도 연관성이 있으며, 여성의 공간인지도 향상을 위해 시설물의 독특성이 중요한 요소로 작용하고 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 또한, 본 연구의 결과는 관광지 시설물의 계획과 관리에 있어 관광지 정보제공 기능이 관광지의 공간구조의 복잡성과 관계없이 방문객의 공간인지도 향상을 위해 중요한 요소임을 시사하고 있다.

마케팅패러다임에 의한 장소이미지 전략의 진화양상 연구 (A Study on the Evolutionary Aspects of Place Image Strategies through the Marketing Paradigm)

  • This study, by applying the experiential and psychological thought category of "impression" as the space design strategy for drawing out "sensitivity," aims to break down the psychological mechanism forming the image held by the subject, and based on such segmentation, seek and strategize an effective design methodology. The subject's memory, pure sensation, and movement sensation are set as the preceding determinants comprising the psychological mechanism of space impression. The control determinants for achieving activation of psychological effect are reinterpreted as the relations of memory-cognition, sensation-perception, and movement-sensation and categorized into a cognitive strategy based on association, metaphor and remembrance; a direct sensation strategy based on formation, superposition and transposition of sensation; and a sensation strategy of process-formation based on expectation organization and reversal, contraction and relaxation. Each strategy is achieved through the formal, material and structural control of architecture. As a restructuring of the design methodology that has been experientially applied, the strategy categorization is important in that, by presenting the usefulness and effect by strategy according to space experience, it makes concrete the basic data that are useful for designing experience of sensitivity.

실무 종사자들의 한국 전통성에 대한 인식 및 요구되는 전통관련 기초 이론 교육의 내용 (Cognition of Korean Tradition and the Required Basic Educational Contents Among Interior Architects)

  • The purpose of this study was to comprehend the cognition of Korean tradition and the required basic educational contents among interior architects. The survey had been made 277 designers and the major findings of this study are as follows. First. It is revealed that only a half of interior architect have been taught about Korean tradition in university and their level of knowledge is entry level. Therefore it is found that the education in university on the Korean tradition was not sufficient enough Second, it is believed that one ideal way of expressing Korean tradition is re-interpreting traditional motive with modern views and another way is to express abstractly about Korean traditional space arrangement, composition and space concept. It is found that substantial knowledge and information is required to express Korean tradition effectively. Third. it is found that a lot of interior architect has faced difficulties in carrying out projects because of not having sufficient knowledge related to Korean tradition. Therefore it is recommended to educate basic theory about Korean tradition first and then reinforce the program by including field trip In university curriculum. Fourth. it is necessary to re-educate to current Interior architect because of lacking knowledge about Korean tradition. The recommended area in priority order is traditional Interior space, traditional architecture, traditional color, traditional pattern and traditional furniture

아동의 그림을 통해 본 공간인지와 조작능력 (An Analysis of Spatial Cognition and Operation in Children's Drawings)

  • 이 논문의 연구목적은 초등학교 아동의 사회 교과서 내용 중 지리영역 학습내용구성의 개선에 기여할 수 있는 기초자료를 제공하는 데 있다. 이러한 목적을 위하여 공간인지발달이론을 초등학교 학생의 그림분석을 통해 검증하였다. 분석의 결과, 공간의 조작능력은 연령의 종가와 더불어 형상적 공간에서 투영적 공간을 거쳐 기하학적 공간을 조작하는 과정으로 진행됨을 알 수 있었다. 이는 피아제와 인헬데르의 인지발달이론에서 주장하는 바와 일치하였다. 그러나 그들이 제시한 각 조작기별 해당 연령은 실제와 비교하면 조작기 구분의 엄밀한 기준이 되지 않음을 보여 주었다. 그 이유는 같은 연령의 아동간에도 현격한 개인차를 지니기 때문이다. 이와 같은 연구의 결과는 지리 교육적으로 다음과 같은 시사점을 제공한다: 첫째, 초등학교 3학년 교과서의 내용 중 사진과 그림지도와 삽화 등이 아동의 지적 수준에 맞는지 의문스럽다. 둘째, 3학년 아동에게 그림지도를, 4학년 아동에게 실측도와 유사한 지도를 직접 그리게 하는 것은 기하학적 공간의 조작에 속하므로 큰 무리가 따른다.
