기상청에서 운용 중인 지역별 지표 홍반자외선(EUV-B) 복사의 특성 (Characteristics of Erythemal Ultraviolet Irradiance operating at Korea Meteorological Administration)

  • We analyzed the monthly and seasonal mean of the daily Erythemal Ultraviolet-B (EUV-B, $280{\sim}320nm$) irradiance operating in Pohang, Anmyeon, Gosan, Mokpo and Kangnung with UV-Biometer (Solar Light Co., Model No. 501) at clear-sky noon during the period from 1999 to 2004. Also, we investigated the seasonal and regional characteristics for the UV index over the Korean Peninsula. The daily maximum occurred near solar southing time and the highest monthly accumulated EUV-B irradiance appeared in July and August at each regional observatory. The monthly mean value of the clear-sky EUV-B irradiance in Pohang, Anmyeon, Gosan, Mokpo and Kangnung showed 196.6, 161.8, 221.9, $171.5mWm^{-2}\;and\;179.7mWm^{-2}$ near noon in July respectively. The annual mean value of the daily accumulated EUV-B irradiance in Pohang, Anmyeon, Gosan, Mokpo and Kangnung were 1.8, 2.1, 2.2, $1.8kJm^{-2}\;and\;1.5kJm^{-2}$ respectively. The UV Index (UVI) showed above UVI 7(High) more than 90 days during one year over the Korean Peninsula.

일사량 변화를 고려한 개선된 MPPT 알고리즘 (The Improved Maximum Power Point Tracking Algorithm under varying of irradiance)

  • The MPPT(Maximum Power Point Tracking) techniques are employed in photovoltaic (PV) systems to maximize the PV array output power which depends on solar irradiance and temperature. The dynamic MPPT performance under varying irradiance conditions affects the impact on overall PV system performance. This paper presents the improved MPPT algorithm by the simulation comparison with other algorithms. The simulation models are made by the Matlab & Simulink. The result of simulation, the dynamic MPPT efficiency of proposed algorithm is higher than the other algorithms.

지형보정계수를 이용한 복잡지형의 일 적산일사량 분포 추정 (A Simple Method Using a Topography Correction Coefficient for Estimating Daily Distribution of Solar Irradiance in Complex Terrain)

  • 기상대에서 측정한 '일적산수평면일사량'을 토대로 임의 경사면 상의 '일적산경사면일사량'을 비교적 정확하고 간편하게 알아낼 수 있는 지형보정계수를 고안하였다. 주어진 시간대의 수평면 청천일사량에 대한 경사면 청천일사량의 비율을 '매시일사보정계수'라 정의하고, 청천일사량을 기준으로 수평면의 시간대별 상대 일사강도와 수평면에 대한 경사면의 일사수광비율의 곱으로 표현하였다. 매시일사보정계수를 하루 단위로 적산한 것이 해당 날짜의 지형보정계수이다. 제주도 내 기생화산 '높은오름'의 등고도면 8 방위에서 사면일사수광량을 1년간 관측하는 한편, 이들 지점의 일사량을 지형보정계수에 의해 추정하여 서로 비교하였다. 지형보정계수에 의한 일사추정값의 편차평방근오차는 연평균 $1.61MJ\;m^{-2}$ 이었으나, 4월부터 10월 사이 영농기간에는 절반 이하로 줄어들었다. 경사향에 무관하게 10월에 가장 오차가 작은 반면, 11월에는 경사향에 따른 오차의 변동폭이 가장 컸다. RMSE 값의 연중변동폭은 남향과 북향사면에서 가장 컸고, 남서-남동-북서사면 순으로 줄어들었다. 어떤 경사면이든 365일 동안의 지형보정계수를 한번만 계산해 두면 인근 기상대에서 관측한 임의 날짜의 전천일사량에 이 계수를 적용함으로써 그 날의 적산일사량을 실용적인 오차범위 내에서 추정할 수 있어 복잡지형의 일사수광량 분포를 용이하게 파악할 수 있다.

  • 본 연구에서는 태양광 발전량 예측에 필요한 일사량을 예측하기 위해 다양한 기상변수를 활용한 다중회귀, ARIMA, ARIMAX 모형을 사용하여 각 모형의 예측 성능을 비교하고자 한다. 예측에 사용된 변수와 시계열 모형에 대해 소개하고, 실제 일사량 예측에 적용하여 일사량을 예측한 결과 운량, 기온, 습도, 대기권 밖 일사량을 활용한 ARIMAX 모형의 성능이 가장 우수하였다.

한반도를 포함한 동아시아 영역에서 오존전량과 유해자외선의 특성과 예측 (Characteristics and Prediction of Total Ozone and UV-B Irradiance in East Asia Including the Korean Peninsula)

  • The average ratio of the daily UV-B to total solar (75) irradiance at Busan (35.23$^{\circ}$N, 129.07$^{\circ}$E) in Korea is found as 0.11%. There is also a high exponential relationship between hourly UV-B and total solar irradiance: UV-B=exp (a$\times$(75-b))(R$^2$=0.93). The daily variation of total ozone is compared with the UV-B irradiance at Pohang (36.03$^{\circ}$N, 129.40$^{\circ}$E) in Korea using the Total Ozone Mapping Spectrometer (TOMS) data during the period of May to July in 2005. The total ozone (TO) has been maintained to a decreasing trend since 1979, which leading to a negative correlation with the ground-level UV-B irradiance doting the given period of cloudless day: UV-B=239.23-0.056 TO (R$^2$=0.52). The statistical predictions of daily total ozone are analyzed by using the data of the Brewer spectrophotometer and TOMS in East Asia including the Korean peninsula. The long-term monthly averages of total ozone using the multiplicative seasonal AutoRegressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) model are used to predict the hourly mean UV-B irradiance by interpolating the daily mean total ozone far the predicting period. We also can predict the next day's total ozone by using regression models based on the present day's total ozone by TOMS and the next day's predicted maximum air temperature by the Meteorological Mesoscale Model 5 (MM5). These predicted and observed total ozone amounts are used to input data of the parameterization model (PM) of hourly UV-B irradiance. The PM of UV-B irradiance is based on the main parameters such as cloudiness, solar zenith angle, total ozone, opacity of aerosols, altitude, and surface albedo. The input data for the model requires daily total ozone, hourly amount and type of cloud, visibility and air pressure. To simplify cloud effects in the model, the constant cloud transmittance are used. For example, the correlation coefficient of the PM using these cloud transmissivities is shown high in more than 0.91 for cloudy days in Busan, and the relative mean bias error (RMBE) and the relative root mean square error (RRMSE) are less than 21% and 27%, respectively. In this study, the daily variations of calculated and predicted UV-B irradiance are presented in high correlation coefficients of more than 0.86 at each monitoring site of the Korean peninsula as well as East Asia. The RMBE is within 10% of the mean measured hourly irradiance, and the RRMSE is within 15% for hourly irradiance, respectively. Although errors are present in cloud amounts and total ozone, the results are still acceptable.

인공위성영상 예측기법을 적용한 태양광에너지 이용가능성 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Feasibility Evaluation for the Use of Solar Photovoltaic Energy in Korean Peninsula Using a Satellite Image Forecasting Method)

  • Images taken by geostationary satellite may be used to estimate solar irradiance fluxes at earth's surface. It is based on the empirical correlation between a satellite derived cloud index and the irradiance at the ground. For the validation, estimated solar radiation fluxes are compared with observed solar radiation fluxes at 16 sites over the Korean peninsular from January 1982 to December 2004. Estimated solar radiation fluxes show reliable results for estimating the global radiation with average deviation of -7.8 to +7.0% from the measured values and the yearly averaged horizontal global insolation of Korean peninsula was turned out to be $3.56kW/m^{2}/day$.

  • At present, the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) measures the horizontal solar irradiation with time in 33 areas. Among these measured data, this study analyzed the tendency of applying the new analysis method by using the horizontal solar irradiation with the time which was measured in 18 regions across the country for ten years from 2005 to 2014. The method applied to the analysis is to compare the value of the annual total horizontal solar irradiance for one year with the value of that for the previous year of each year, and give +1 when it is higher than the reference ratio, 0 if it is within the reference ratio, and -1 when it is lower than the reference ratio. The characteristics of each region and nationwide characteristics according to the change of each reference ratio were evaluated and analyzed. Through the analysis results, the analysis method applied in this study could be well describe the characteristics of the solar irradiance during some years.

수상태양광발전시스템의 출력 특성 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Analysis of the Output Characteristics of the Floating Photovoltaic System)

  • In this paper, the effects of environmental variables on the output of the floating photovoltaic water systems, which were installed at the Hapcheon dam in South Korea, were investigated, and the correlations between them were analyzed. The system output was linearly proportional to the solar radiation or irradiance. The output was large in spring and autumn because of high irradiance, but low in the summer when the solar module temperature was high. The influence of the module temperature on the system output was limited in the summer, during which the module temperature change affected the system output more than the change of the irradiance did. In addition, in winter and summer, the module temperature tended to decrease with increasing windspeed, but windspeed did not affect module temperature significantly in the spring and autumn. On the other hand, in winter and spring, the irradiance decreased as the windspeed increased because of movement (or circulation) of the photovoltaic modules.

  • 태양 일사량은 관측 지역의 대기 조성 및 기상에 따른 대기 투과율의 영향을 고려하여 계산된다. 특히, 태안 지역과 같은 복잡한 해안 특성을 가진 지역에서의 일사량 계산의 정확도를 높이기 위해서 국소 지역에 대한 연직 기상 환경 자료를 통해 대기의 지역적 특성을 파악하고 이를 바탕으로 한 대기투과율을 계산할 수 있어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 한반도 태안반도에 위치한 3개 지상관측소 및 라디오존데의 2018년도 기상 자료를 이용하여 청명일에 대한 대기투과율 및 직달일사량을 MODTRAN (MODerate-resolution atmospheric TRANsmission) 6를 이용하여 수치모사하였다. MODTRAN 6로 계산된 직달일사량 추정 값은 일사계의 실제 관측 값과의 비교 연구를 수행한 결과, 일사량의 규격화 잔차 평균(Normalized Residual Mean)은 기온에 의한 대기표준모델을 적용한 경우 0.28, 기압의 경우 0.32로 나타나서 타 연구의 0.1~0.2에 비해 높게 나왔으며, 이는 지역적 대기 특성의 차이에 기인한 것으로 이해된다. 또한 기온이 높아지는 여름철로 갈수록 일사량 규격화 잔차 평균이 커지는 경향을 확인할 수 있었다. 이를 통해 태안 지역과 같은 복잡한 해안 특성을 지닌 지역에서의 대기 모델 개선 가능성을 제시하였다.
