  • 기존에 개발된 사용자 선호 정보를 이용한 TV 추천 시스템은 대부분 사용자의 명시적인 요구에 따라 방송 프로그램을 추천하는 데 중점을 두고 개발되었다. 하지만, 유비쿼터스 환경이 도래함에 따라서 사용자의 요구에 따라 반응하는 수동적인 서비스 보다는 상황정보(Context)를 활용하여 능동적인 서비스를 지원할 수 있는 기술이 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 CAMUS(Context-Aware Middleware for URC Systems) 상황인식 미들웨어를 이용하여 사용자 위치 상황정보에 따라 능동적으로 추천할 수 있는 TV 추천 서비스 에이전트를 제안한다. 제안된 시스템은 CAMUS 기반 서비스 에이전트와 태스크를 구현함으로써, 상황정보에 따라 능동적으로 다채널에서 방송되는 프로그램 및 사용자의 선호도 정보를 분석하여 사용자가 원하는 프로그램을 추천한다.

SDN-Based Hierarchical Agglomerative Clustering Algorithm for Interference Mitigation in Ultra-Dense Small Cell Networks

  • Ultra-dense small cell networks (UD-SCNs) have been identified as a promising scheme for next-generation wireless networks capable of meeting the ever-increasing demand for higher transmission rates and better quality of service. However, UD-SCNs will inevitably suffer from severe interference among the small cell base stations, which will lower their spectral efficiency. In this paper, we propose a software-defined networking (SDN)-based hierarchical agglomerative clustering (SDN-HAC) framework, which leverages SDN to centrally control all sub-channels in the network, and decides on cluster merging using a similarity criterion based on a suitability function. We evaluate the proposed algorithm through simulation. The obtained results show that the proposed algorithm performs well and improves system payoff by 18.19% and 436.34% when compared with the traditional network architecture algorithms and non-cooperative scenarios, respectively.

  • Softswitch is the core BcN equipment which voice and multimedia switching based on the IP Technologies. It is designed to replace the Class 5(local Exchange) and Class 4(Toll Exchange) switch based on the circuit wired and wireless switching network technologies. Softswitch gets its name because typically it is a software based solution implemented on general purpose computers/servers. While the traditional PSTN switches are rely on dedicated facilities for T and S inter-connection and are designed primarily for voice communications. Packet based Softswitch is divided the control of call and bearer, very different from Public telephone network. Sometimes Call Agent or Media Gateway Controller, a key component in the VoIP solution, is also called Softswitch. This paper will suggest the software architecture of softswitch for performance in call processing part, also suggest the session management model to cover call setup latency.

  • In this paper we describe SLA metrics and software architecture for newly upcoming IP TV service. Firstly we show the general description for IP TV. This consists of brief description of IP TV, the general figure of configuration and elements of IP TV network and communication protocol stack of IP TV data transmission for deriving communication quality parameter. And we propose SLA metrics depending on quality measurement point. According to the measurement point the measurable SLA metrics are different. The total view of the IP TV SLA measurement and management architecture is shown. When the quality measurement point is the routers that consist of internet node, the IP media NMS is the quality collection system. And when the quality measurement point is the IP TV STB(Set-Top Box), the IP media collector and Quality Collection Server are the quality collection system. And we show the software block diagram of IP TV SLA processing system and the other related network management systems.

  • Applications of the digital computers in the control systems are not new. But when one tries to integrate the control system with a digital computer to form a feedback loop, he has to solve a great deal of problems in both hardware and software aspects. Such problems are investigated in this paper. For the hardware aspect, one has to design interfaces for both ADC and DAC. Since these are absolutely necessary pieces of hardware, one can notavoid from using them. The interface which employ the programmed data transfer method was designed for this research. For the software aspect, one has to build models for the digital compensator and the controlled system. In order to do that it is necessary to utilize the real time clock and to write his own interrupt service routine. As a sample case, a deadbeat compensator was desinged and tested.

  • Durability performance evaluation technology using Virtual Testing Method is a new concept of a vehicle design, which can reduce the automotive components design period and cost. In this paper, the fatigue life of an aluminum knuckle of a passenger car is evaluated using virtual testing method. The flexible multibody dynamic model of a front half car module is generated and solved with service loads which are measured from Belgian roads. Using a multibody dynamic analysis software, the flexible multibody dynamic simulation of a half car model is carried out and the dynamic stress profile of an aluminum knuckle is acquired. The stress profile is exported to a fatigue analysis software and durability performance of an aluminum knuckle is evaluated.

Dynamic BS-initiated idle timer for radio resource management in mobile wireless systems (동적 타이머를 이용한 기지국의 무선 자원 제어론)

  • Nowadays, an explosive increase of mobile devices has triggered a lot of research into radio resource management. Therefore, many studies have been done and still underway to use this limited resource efficiently. However, most of the existing studies focused on efficiency in mac layer. In this paper, I proposed a timer to manage radio resource, which refreshes the timer's values based on the number of connections dynamically. This dynamic timer enables Base Station (BS) to be able to manage available radio resources efficiently and accommodate much more Mobile Stations (MSs). Simulation result showed that BS with dynamic timer could accommodate the MS about 30% more, compared with BS with a static timer in terms of radio resource management. Dynamic timer is not restricted to any specific network standard. So its mechanism is practical and implementable without changing the original standard, which can contribute to service providers by increasing capability that BS can support.

  • The development of technology provides and increases security as well as convenience for humans. The development of new technology directly affects the standard of life thanks to smart home automatic control systems. This paper describes a door control, automatic curtain, home security (CCTV, fire, gas, safe, etc.), home control (energy, light, ventilation, etc.) and web-based smart home automatic controller. It also describes the use of ARM (Advanced RISC Machines) for automatic control of home equipment, a Multi-Axes Servo Controller using FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) and PLC (programmable logic controller). Additionally, it describes the development of a HTML editor using web auto control software. The tab loading time (7 seconds) is faster when using ARM-based web browser software instead of Chrome and Firefox is used because the browser has a small memory footprint (300M). This system is realized by web auto controller language which controls and uses PLCs that are easier than existing devices. This smart home automatic control technology can control smart home equipment anywhere and anytime and provides a remote interface through mobile equipment.

  • 인간관계 유지와 새로운 관계 형성을 지원하는 다양한 소셜 네트워크가 각광을 받으면서 사용자간 친밀도 분석에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. SNS에서 구성되는 사용자 개인 정보와 컨텐츠 공유 및 기타 활동에 대한 정보는 사용자의 특징을 파악할 수 있는 유용한 정보가 된다. 이러한 정보는 추천과 같은 여러 가지 서비스에서 사용될 수 있으며, 특히 사용자간 친밀도 분석을 통한 친구 추천에서 유용하게 사용된다. 기존 친밀도 분석 연구에서는 사용자간 프로필 유사도와 메시지 교환수 같은 양적 정보를 사용해 왔다. 본 논문에서는 사용자간 대화 내용을 분석한 내용적 정보를 친밀도 분석에 반영하기 위한 방법을 제안한다. 학습 데이터를 활용하여 구축된 친밀도 분별 시스템에서는 감탄사, 종결어미, 선어말어미, 이모티콘, 문장 길이의 내용적 자질 정보의 사용으로 기존 양적 정보 사용과 유사한 수준의 친밀도 분별 성능을 얻을 수 있었으며, 양적 정보와 내용적 정보를 동시 사용한 경우 소폭의 성능 향상을 얻었다.
