So, to improve the job attitude, developing their ability for employment preparation, educational programs should be arranged in school and continuous researches are needed.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the degree of satisfaction in using rehabilitation exercise rooms in public health centers. A total of 100 subjects were participated in the study who were clients of rehabilitation exercise rooms in two public health centers in one city of Kyunggi Do, Korea. Data were collected from March 1 to 30, 2003 using questionnaire. The data were analyzed using SPSS/PC computer program. The result are as follows : 1. The mean age of subjects was 62.6 years old, and men constituted $67.0\%$ of the participants. Most participants $(64\%)$ were in the middle socioeconomic status, and $(65\%)$ of subjects was diagnosed as stroke. 2. Regarding the source of information about rehabilitation exercise room in public health center, $56.0\%$ obtain information from colleagues or neighbors, and for most participants the time required to travel to rehabilitation exercise room was less than 30min on foot. Among rehabilitation services, Taping therapy $(53.0\%)$ was most frequently used among participants, 3. Sum of all satisfaction score was $71.10(\pm6.60,\;range:\;1-90)$ showed higher level of satisfaction. Cost, reliability, and kindness were main factors that affect the degree of satisfaction among participants. 4. Twenty-four percent of the respondents utilized clinic services in the health centers, and $27.4\%$ stoped rehabilitation services from hospitals and/or clinics due to high cost. 5. Objectives: As in many low-income and middle-income countries, out-of-pocket (OOP) payments by patients or their families are a key healthcare financing mechanism in Bangladesh that leads to economic burdens for households. The objective of this study was to identify whether and to what extent socioeconomic, demographic, and behavioral factors of the population had an impact on OOP expenditures in Bangladesh. Methods: A total of 12 400 patients who had paid to receive any type of healthcare services within the previous 30 days were analyzed from the Bangladesh Household Income and Expenditure Survey data, 2010. We employed regression analysis for identify factors influencing OOP health expenditures using the ordinary least square method. Results: The mean total OOP healthcare expenditures was US dollar (USD) 27.66; while, the cost of medicines (USD 16.98) was the highest cost driver (61% of total OOP healthcare expenditure). In addition, this study identified age, sex, marital status, place of residence, and family wealth as significant factors associated with higher OOP healthcare expenditures. In contrary, unemployment and not receiving financial social benefits were inversely associated with OOP expenditures. Conclusions: The findings of this study can help decision-makers by clarifying the determinants of OOP, discussing the mechanisms driving these determinants, and there by underscoring the need to develop policy options for building stronger financial protection mechanisms. The government should consider devoting more resources to providing free or subsidized care. In parallel with government action, the development of other prudential and sustainable risk-pooling mechanisms may help attract enthusiastic subscribers to community-based health insurance schemes.
Background: Traditional Korean medicine (TKM) is widely used to treat children with cerebral palsy (CP) in Korea; however, studies investigating factors that influence the use of TKM are scarce. Thus, we investigated the clinical factors that might influence the use of TKM. Methods: A population-based, cross-sectional, multicenter survey was performed from August 2014 to May 2016. The history of TKM use, type and severity of CP, current treatment characteristics, presence of accompanying disabilities or other health problems not directly related to CP, and monthly cost for the treatment of CP were surveyed. Results: In total, 182 children were recruited, and 78 children (42.9%) had used TKM. Among these 78 children, 50 (64.1% of the TKM-use group) had used both acupuncture and herbal medication, 15 (19.2%) had used acupuncture only, and 13 (16.7%) had used herbal medication only. Children with non-typical CP, accompanying disabilities and general health problems tended to use TKM. The monthly cost of treatment for CP was significantly higher in the TKM-use group than that in the no-TKM-use group, suggesting that economically disadvantaged children may have difficulty in accessing TKM. Dietary supplements, conventional pharmacological treatments, and rehabilitation therapies did not affect TKM use. Conclusion: Children with non-typical symptoms or those with poor overall health status are likely to use TKM. Additionally, TKM use leads to increased treatment costs. Studies investigating the motivation for starting or ceasing TKM therapy, socioeconomic factors and the attitude of parents towards complementary and alternative medicine should be performed.

This paper theoretically explores the calculation of development impact fees focusing on urban growth, new urban development, developer, urban planner, housing, real estate market, community planning, community financing, local government, land use planning, public facilities, and development cost. Many questions related to who bears the burden of paying impact fees beg for answers based on empirical analysis. Those questions involve the extent to which landowners bear the burden, the effect of different levels of impact fees on the socioeconomic mix of communities, the distribution of fiscal benefits within a region where urban communities assess different levels of impact fees, and the preparedness of urban communities to accommodate development displaced by impact fees. Broader questions also relate to how urban and regional form is affected by differential application of impact fees throughout an area and whether money gained from the impact fees makes regional growth more or less efficient. Who ultimately pays development impact fees? There has been little empirical evaluation of how the market responds to development impact fees, but there is considerable information to suggest that, on the whole, the occupants - residents and users - pay the majority of the development impact fees.
Purpose: This study was conducted to identify the factors influencing of HPV vaccination and vaccination intention among Korean adult women through a systematic review. Methods: A systematic review was conducted across international and domestic electronic databases and nine of 193 studies were identified for this review. Results: Meaningful variables influencing HPV vaccination and its intention included socioeconomic status (age, economic level, and education level), knowledge level, health beliefs, attitudes toward HPV vaccination, and previous experiences. Economic level and knowledge influenced HPV vaccination and vaccination intention, which was consistent with the results of previous studies. Eight studies measured knowledge level regarding cervical cancer or HPV vaccination; however some instruments lacked reliability and validity report. Conclusion: There is a need for governmental support to reduce the burden of HPV vaccination cost, to publicize the benefits and to provide general information regarding HPV vaccination. Finally, it is necessary to develop an instrument with confirmed reliability and validity to measure HPV knowledge.
After the reversion of Okinawa (Ryukyu Islands) to Japan in 1972, extensive urban and agricultural development resulted in a significant increase in sediment discharge to coastal waters. The release of sediment has caused the degradation of freshwater and coastal ecosystems and biodiversity. A consideration for catchment-to-reef continua, as well as agricultural (socioeconomic) factors is necessary to establish proper land-based management plans for the conservation of the island environment. We have set up a framework to integrate biophysics and socioeconomics: 1) setting a conservation target and threshold, 2) identifying the sources and processes, and 3) examining cost-effectiveness and management priorities. The framework may be applicable to other tropical and subtropical islands with similar characteristics.

For rebuilding and managing fish stocks and fisheries, the biological and socioeconomic evaluations on fisheries management regulations are important. This study aimed to estimate the economic effectiveness of different mesh sizes in the yellow croaker gillnet fishery. In particular, by comparing economic effects of mesh sizes, 50mm and 52mm, it aimed to provide the economic validity for increasing mesh sizes. Analytical results showed that the fishing revenue was higher in the vessels using a mesh size over 52mm than that in the vessels using a mesh size less than 50mm. In addition, the effect of fishing cost reduction was also larger in the vessels using a mesh size over 52mm than that in the vessels using a mesh size less than 50mm.
Gastric cancer is prevalent in Korea and ranked as the third most common cancer in 2019, followed by lung and thyroid cancers. The National Cancer Screening Program (NCSP) for gastric cancer has been implemented in adults aged ≥ 40 since 1999 and involves endoscopic screening every 2 years. The beneficial effects of the current NCSP on early cancer detection, cost-effectiveness, and mortality reduction are evident. However, the screening program results in a large socioeconomic burden and the consumption of medical resources, as it focuses solely on secondary prevention (early detection) rather than primary prevention of cancer. Helicobacter pylori is defined as a group I carcinogen by the International Agency for Research on Cancer. Hence, its eradication has been suggested as an important primary gastric cancer prevention strategy. Well-designed randomized controlled trials involving high-risk groups (post-endoscopic resection of early gastric cancer and family history of gastric cancer) and long-term follow-up studies in the general population have provided high-quality evidence regarding the effects of H. pylori eradication on gastric cancer prevention. In this review, we discussed the evidences for a possible modification of the current gastric cancer secondary prevention strategy by introducing primary prevention through H. pylori eradication. Areas for future research to optimize primary prevention strategies were also suggested.

As the Jordanian government is in the process of implementing accrual-based IPSAS, this study aims to provide academics' perspectives on the effective implementation of accrual-based IPSAS in Jordan to authorities and regulators. The findings of a survey of 124 accounting professors at Jordanian institutions reveal that adopting accrual-based IPSAS will aid in presenting the realistic financial status of governmental bodies, with various advantages to adopting accrual-based IPSAS (e.g., enhance assets and liabilities management, decision-making process, transparency, expenditures management). On the other side, we discovered that change is met with reluctance because the majority of public-sector accountants are untrained and unqualified to apply the accrual-based IPSAS. Another main challenge is the cost of implementing the accrual-based IPSAS in the Jordanian public sector is very high. To address these issues, employees should be motivated by providing suitable training programs, reward systems, and top management support and commitment to a successful transition. Finally, we suggested that Jordanian governments commit to using IPSAS in the public sector to increase residents' socioeconomic advantages. Public sectors should implement IPSASs for improved management, transparency in financial reporting, accountability, and regulatory and supervisory agencies.
