Choi Yoon Sik is a person who can not be omitted when discussing the history of mathematics in Korea. He is a mathematician who led Korean mathematics community after liberation from Japan. However, he took interests in mathematics education in middle and high school also. Choi Yoon Sik should be remembered as a leading person not only in the history of mathematics but also in the history of mathematics education in Korea. Choi Yoon Sik thought that histo-genetic principle, intuitive principle, and practical principle are important in mathematics education by help of Okura Kinnosuke's view, with hope to reform the mathematics education in Korea. He also argued that mathematics has educational values.

'confucian doctor' are typically people who study the principles of medicine based on Confusional concepts. In Korea, studying both medicine and Confucianism became a common practice since Confucianism became popular and the class of intellectuals were formed around Confucianism. This study is a research on the activity of confucian doctors in Korea. Many confucian doctors that were discovered in documents are organized according to their activity and books they wrote.

We investigate the history of the research of the existence of periodic solutions of a nonlinear wave equation with jumping nonlinearity, suggested by Mckenna and Lazer (cf. [15]). We also investigate the recent research of it; a relation between multiplicity of solutions and source terms of the equation when the nonlinearity -($bu^+$-$au^-$) crosses eigenvalues and the source term f is generated by eigenfuntions.

An understanding of the history of laryngology is both interesting and useful for those in the field so this study attempts to uncover some of the interesting aspects of its history. The oldest reference of laryngology in the Orient is in the medical documents called the "Whangjainaekyung",(황제내경) which was written over a time period between 3000-4000 B.C., and described the laryngeal function of respiration, protection of the airway and phonation. In the West, a drawing that seems to portray a tracheostomy was found in medical tombs in the plains of Saqqara in Egypt. These drawings date from approximately 3600 B.C. A watershed in laryngology occurred when a spanish music professor named Manuel Garcia in first successfully used a mirror to inspect the larynx. Since that time, laryngology has developed relatively quickly and clinical laryngology made it possible by means of a number of favorable developments. Great advances in laryngological diagnosis and treatment has occurred since the 1970s thanks to improvements in technology leading to the introduction of an operating microscope, endoscopes and lasers. Despite our recent advances in laryngology, we still have not achieved uniformly favorable outcomes and there is much that we do not know. Our future promises continued advances in the field of laryngology such as gene therapy to improve wound healing and tissue engineering to allow the recreation of normal mucosa. In this review, I divide the history of the larynx into the past, present and future. In the last section, I described the history of laryngology in Korea briefly.

"Sikui-simgam ("食醫心鑑", Book for Alimentotherapist)" written by Jameun, a doctor of Tang (唐) in the 9th century, propagated alimentotherapy in Korea, China, and Japan for a long time. In this study, Sikui-simgam medical theories were studied and the medicinal ingredients and types of food therapy were analyzed to understand alimentotherapy characteristics. "Sikui-simgam" is the first food therapy formulary diverged from herbal therapy forms. Various ingredients from "Sikui-simgam" show the food culture of the Tang age and report much about cooking and cultural history. Many prescriptions in the books are the origins of present-day food culture; thus, they are important clues to understand the present food culture. This book also describes actual prescriptions in detail. Various types of prescriptions with different ingredients are unique characteristics of food therapy and show the various possibilities for food therapy prescriptions. The food therapy prescriptions of "Sikui-simgam" were designed for medical specialists, as the book contains doses and incompatibilities for food therapy. Such food therapy prescriptions were used to treat diseases, so they were used with strict standards.

The concept of ideals has played an important role as an inception of the structural approach to algebra. As a sequel to [51], we first deal with the gradual emergence of tile abstract concepts of fields and rings, and study the history of ideals initiated fly Dedekind and then formalized by Noether for the structural research.

과학 수업에 과학사를 도입하자는 주장은 과학 지식과 과학적 방법의 이해, 과학의 본성에 대한 고찰, 과학과 사회와의 상호작용의 이해 등의 필요성에 따라 지속적으로 강조되어 왔다. 통합 과학 교육의 중요성이 강조되고 있는 오늘날, 과학사는 통합 과학 교육의 방안으로도 효과적이다. 이러한 배경 속에서 본 연구에서는 과학사를 과학 교육에 활용한 연구들을 분석하고 이를 토대로 통합 과학 주제로서 과학사를 활용할 수 있는 내용을 선정해 과학사 수업을 개발했다. 본 연구에서는 통합 과학의 주제로서의 과학사 수업의 개발을 위해 '지구의 연령'을 주제로 선정했다. 중 고등학생들을 대상으로 한 시범 적용 결과, 학생들은 수업을 긍정적으로 평가했다.

본 연구는 1991년부터 현재까지 이루어진 국내 구술사 연구 동향을 분석함으로써 구술사를 둘러싼 연구 지형을 파악하고 향후 구술사 연구의 방향성에 기초자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 한국교육학술정보원의 학술연구정보서비스에서 구술사로 키워드 검색을 시행하여 1991년부터 2018년까지 이루어진 국내 구술사 연구 논문 총 439건을 연구대상으로 선정하였다. 그리고 이를 시기별로 연구 논문 생산량과 주요 학술지, 연구자 및 연구 재원, 연구분야 및 연구 내용, 국제 협력으로 구분하여 국내 구술사 연구 동향을 다각도로 분석하였다. 마지막으로 도출된 연구 결과를 바탕으로 시사점을 정리하고 후속 연구의 방향을 제시하였다.

We present the physical and environmental properties of nearby dwarf elliptical-like galaxies. The present sample consists of ~ 1,100 dwarf elliptical-like galaxies within redshifts 0.01. The morphological types of the present study were determined by Ann, Seo, and Ha (2015) who classified the dwarf elliptical-like galaxies by the five subtypes of dS0, dE, dSph, dEbc, and dEblue. We examine their star formation history using STARLIGHT. The star formation history of dwarf elliptical-like galaxies depends on their subtypes. The luminosities of dS0, dE, and dSph galaxies are dominated by the extremely old stars (${\geq}10^{10}yr$) with $z{\approx}0.0004$ while those of dEbc and dEblue galaxies are mainly due to the young (${\sim}10^7yr$) stars together with the nearly equal contribution by extremely young stars (${\sim}10^6yr$) and old (${\sim}10^9yr$) stars. Young populations have a variety of metallicity, from z=0.0001 to z = 0.04, while old populations have metallicity of z = 0.0001 and z = 0.0004. While the formation history of stars older than ~1010yr depends mainly on the luminosity of galaxies, the formation history of stars younger than ~108yr is mainly affected by their environment. However, luminosity and environment are equally important for the star formation history if there is no star formation at the early phase of galaxy formation.

본 논문은 모던디자인 역사 서술의 구체적인 내용과 한계를 밝히는데 그 목적이 있다. 모던디자인 역사 서술의 전통은 다양한 개별적 디자인 현상들을 억압하거나 왜곡시키면서 지나친 일반화를 추구하였다. 뿐만 아니라 헤게모니를 장악한 제한된 디자인들을 단선적 흐름으로 서술하였으며, 일부 영웅적 인물 중심의 역사를 보편적인 것으로 만들었다. 이러한 전통이 일반화되면서 우리는 '디자인'이라는 자극에 '모던디자인'을 떠올리게 되었고 ‘모던디자인’이라는 자극에 일부 제국주의 국가의 영웅들과 그들의 무용담을 떠올려야 했다. 이러한 맥락에서 논문은 역사를 바라보는 주체적인 시각의 필요성과 그것을 바탕으로 한 다양한 디자인 역사들의 존재가능성과 필요성을 환기시키고 있다
