Purpose: The purpose of this study was to supply basic data for a health promoting program and to elevate the level of it by examining whether university students' health promoting behaviors were related to health perception, health concept, self- esteem, perceived benefits of action, perceived barriers of action, perceived self-efficacy, activity-related affect, social support, preference, prior related behavior, and a plan for action. Method: Subjects were 192 university students in K city. Data collection method was a structured questionnaire. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, and stepwise multiple regression. Result: The most powerful predictor was previous related behavior (36%). Altogether previous related behavior, health status, a plan for action, perceived self-efficacy and number of admissions were proven to account for 57% of health promoting behaviors. Conclusion: It suggested that prior related behavior, health status, a plan for action, perceived self-efficacy, and number of admissions should be considered when developing a students' health promoting program.

Daycare center is an important space for children's mental, physical and social development. Each space of daycare center should be designed and constructed considering interests of end-users such as children and teachers. However, insufficient related guidelines and standardized design and construction of daycare center to moderate potential risks of each space. This arises from the difference in perception of each space between end-users (head and sub teachers) and construction experts (designers and contractors). Therefore, research framework was developed for analyzing the factors of perception differences of each space in daycare center between these groups applied traditional and modified Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA). By comparing risk perception between end-users and experts in two methods, it can be support as construction guide for daycare center in the future and will help minimize conflicts in construction among stakeholders. Moreover, it was found that traditional IPA is comfortable to catch prior project perception of participants, and revised IPA is considered to judge outputs by identifying participant's importance based on the satisfaction of the project performance. Therefore, if IPAs are applied according to the characteristics of the circumstances, it is possible to analyze the perception difference between end-users and construction experts based on the context before and after the construction of the daycare center.

Objective : The purpose of this study was to investigate strategies used to cope with stress and the cognitive characteristics of somatic symptom perception in patients with generalized anxiety disorder(GAD). Methods : A total of 55 patients meeting DSM-5 criteria for GAD and 55 normal controls were recruited for participation in this study. We evaluated subjects using The Way of Stress Coping Questionnaire (SCQ), Somato-Sensory Amplification Scale (SSAS), Symptom Interpretation Questionnaire (SIQ), and the Generalized Anxiety Disorder for 7 Item (GAD-7). We analyzed data using an independent t-test and Pearson's correlation analysis. Results : In terms of SCQ, GAD patients presented significantly lower scores on seeking social support and higher scores on wishful thinking than normal controls. GAD patients had significantly greater amplification of physical sensation in SSAS and higher scores in physical, psychological interpretation subsets of SIQ than normal controls. GAD-7 scores were positively correlated with physical interpretation scores on SIQ. Conclusion : Results reveal that patients with GAD have insufficient coping strategies for stress, greater amplification of body sensations, and tendency towards a physical, psychological interpretation of somatic symptoms.

This paper describes a Q-methodological study on the Perception of comfort in hospital in-patients. The participants completed a 37-item Q sort made up of statements which could be ranked in terms of their relevance to the subjective meaning of comfort. Three interpretable types of comfort were identified through this Q study : Type I, positive medical action style, feel secure and satisfied when medical staff show a positive attitude towards them as patients. They put a high value on prompt responses from medical staff and physical aspects of care like non-invasive procedures or comfortable position. Type II, social relation style, experience a state of comfort when they perceive support or concern from medical staff, relatives or other patients suffering from similar diseases. They feel safe and secure when medical staff are kind and have a good reputation or when the size of the hospital is big enough, Type III, emotional wellbeing style, feel that hope for a healthy life or maintaining self-care activities are highly valuable. They feel safe and comfortable when their privacy is protected. They put worth on independent thinking, strong will, and emotional or psychological comfort. The results of this study can be used as a basis to develop nursing measures for comfort. Further studies on factors which influence perception of comfort and intervention strategies according to the above types of comfort need to be done.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the perception and needs on development of lecture to promote creative personality of pre-service teachers. The subjects were 161 students in 4th grade in early childhood education department. The questionnaire was composed of 3 items of 'recognition of creativity personality lecture' and 7 items of 'demand of development for creativity personality lecture'. The data was analyzed frequency and percentage by descriptive statistics. In the results, first, most of pre-service teachers recognized the importance on development of creativity personality lecture, and support of 'development and application of creativity personality lecture'. They recognized that creativity personality lecture was effective. Second, more than half of them responded that they would take creativity personality lecture, and this lecture was most appropriate 2 courses and 3 hours 10 weeks per semester. They demanded a lot of propensity element among creativity education elements, convergence classes in various fields, teaching medium for 'movie and music', and 'portfolio evaluation'.

This study tried to analyze the social perception of news coverage on inclusive education by using big data analysis techniques. News articles were collected according to the 5-year policy period for the development of special education, and news big data was analyzed. As a result, the frequency of media reports during the five-year policy period of special education development from 1998 in the first year to 2022 in the fifth year was steadily increased. During this period, the top topic words in news coverage changed from words conceptualizing simple definitions to words expressing the active will of students with disabilities for the actual right to education. In addition, as a result of emotional analysis of the overall keywords in the inclusive education news coverage, it was found that the positive word ratio was high. Through this study, it can be seen that interest in news coverage on inclusive education is increasing quantitatively in accordance with changes in special education policies, and the demand for inclusive education is being concreted in the direction of guaranteeing the actual right to education of students with disabilities.
Background: Work and work environment have a critical influence on adolescent workers' health. They are subjected to more risks than adults. The aim of this study is to examine psychological health outcomes in adolescent workers in the areas of depression, somatization, anxiety, hostility, and negative self-concept, and to investigate any related factors. Methods: This is a descriptive and cross-sectional study. Research samples were collected from adolescent workers between 15 and 18 years old attending a 1-day mandatory education course at vocational training centers, working 5 days per week in small enterprises. Data were collected using the following instruments: Brief Symptom Inventory, Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support, and Descriptive Characteristics of Children's Assessment Form. Results: The investigation covers 837 young workers, of whom 675 were males and 162 were females. The majority of the families had low incomes (68.1%). Overall, 33.5% of the adolescents had been hospitalized because of health problems. Their average weekly working hours were $78.1{\pm}10.7$. Almost 50% of adolescent workers scored above the mean average in the Brief Symptom Inventory, indicating serious pschological health symptoms. Those who scored high for hostility, depression, negative self-concept, anxiety, and somatization were between 45.4% and 48.9% of the sample. Logistic regression analysis was conducted to determine the underlying factors: a perception of "feeling very bad" health conditions was 2.07-fold whereas the rate of "no annual leave" was 0.73-fold, and both were found to be effective on psychological problems. Conclusion: In this study, it seems likely that psychological health problems are the result of multiple adverse factors including working conditions, annual leave, and health considerations.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the cognizance of AIDS by applying the Q methodology, as well as to provide preliminary data for developing AIDS prevention campaigns. A Q population was identified from a literature search and in-depth interviews. The study process analyzed the P sample, the study participants, using the Q-sorting methodology to produce the Q sample, which is composed of statements from October 20 to 27, 2014. 20 participants (analyzed) 27 statements and 3 types of AIDS cognizance were produced as a result. These types are 1(N=9), 2(N=6), and 3(N=5), which correspond to denial, social support, and selfish motivation, respectively. The members of the denial type had a strongly negative opinion about AIDS, whereas the social support type showed a friendly gesture. The selfish motivation type took a neutral stance. The common and different points, as well as the distinctive features of these types, were studied. The accomplishments of this study include suggesting an efficient strategy for making an AIDS control policy, as well as a qualitative analysis, through the employment of the Q-methodology, which is useful for understanding human beings' (internal viewpoint).

Background: Since 2010, Korea has maintained a DNA database of those convicted of or awaiting trial for certain crimes. There have been proposals to expand the list of crimes included in this database, or conversely, omit certain crimes if they are committed during protests. An understanding of the feelings of the public as we consider the ethical, legal, and social aspects of a DNA database and as revisions to laws are made is required. Methodology: Questions related to the DNA database were included in the nationally representative Korean Academic Multimode Open Survey (KAMOS) panel (June-August 2016). Results: Of 2,000 randomly selected panel members, 1,013 respondents participated in this survey, including 89.2% who supported the existence of a criminal DNA database. The current system of storing DNA profiles until a suspect's acquittal or a convict's death was supported by 79.5% of respondents. In addition, 70.8% of respondents agreed with the expansion of crime categories included in the criminal database. Many (93.4%) respondents favored genetic testing and data storage to determine the identity and cause of death for people who die of unnatural causes. Some differences in attitude related to social class were noted, with those who self-identified as members of the upper class more likely to support the database and its expansion to include additional crimes than those who self-identified as middle or lower class. Conclusion: Our findings suggest that Koreans generally support the criminal DNA database.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to clarify the social stigma phenomenon in teachers' perceptions and attitudes toward students who are classified as mental health support needs students in middle and high schools. Methods: Qualitative research was conducted through in-depth interviews and observations of 17 teachers and 2 consultants from 2 middle and high schools in Green City, which were evaluated as successful among the six pilot project schools designated by the Ministry of Education in 2013. The study's analysis is based on Hatch's hermeneutical method. Common categories were developed from the interviews and observations. Then, inferences were made per category and given importance to draw conclusions and lessons. Results: Teachers had a strong stigma in their perceptions of and attitudes to special needs students. Their perception was that those students are bound to go wrong due to family problems, even some having difficulty breathing, and that it's beyond their limit to help them. In addition, their attitudes included stereotypes, favoritism, punishment, and referral to experts. As a result, teachers did not expect those students would be cured or change and showed passive attitudes while shifting the responsibility to families and experts. Conclusion: This study is meaningful in that it showed the limitations of the role of teachers regarding mental health support needs students from the perspective of the teachers themselves. Today, when students' mental health problems are emerging as a serious issue, it is necessary to provide support to improve teacher's awareness and capabilities regarding adolescent mental health problems. In addition, we suggest the current selective policy that sorts out special needs students and provides care for them to evolve into a universal policy that improves public awareness and focus on prevention.
