Trump's withdrawal from the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) and his "America First" trade agenda ignite a second round of interest in mega-free trade agreements in the Asia-Pacific. Countries are evaluating alternative trade policy actions in a post-TPP era. Using national real GDP gains estimated by a modified GTAP model to construct "preference ordering" for 10 Association of Southeast Asian Nations members and their six regional dialogue partners, this paper comes up with several policy-oriented findings. First, when multilateral agreements are not possible, countries are better off with a regional trading agreement than without one. Second, the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership is likely to have higher beneficial impacts than the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership. Third, for dual-track countries, implementing both agreements is better than each separately. Fourth, impacts of open regionalism are likely to be higher than those of a closed and reciprocal one. Going forward, this paper argues that countries should adopt a "multi-track, multi-stage" approach to trade policy.
This study aims to analyse the demand of people living in Songnam city for social education. The results of this study were intended to serve as basic material for the social education institution to work out policies for its development. Data, which reached a total of 435, were collected from parents of students, bank clerks, factory workers, and distribution workers, who were living in Choongwon, Sujeong, or Boondang ward of songnam City. The findings of the study were as follows. 1. About 85.7% of the respondents were applying for a social education program : However, given that 63.2% of the positive respondents presented conditional answers, adequate programs to meet their demand should be developed for turning it into effective demand. 2. Specialized vocational training Programs. family life Programs, health and hygienic education program, foreign language learning programs and hobby and leisure programs turned out to be favored. 3. Respondents showed a preference for active participation in the process of education including experiment and field work over remaining passive listeners to a lecture. As to the period of education, 1 to 2 months were most favored; two classes of about 2 hours per week, met on weekdays, were strongly recommended.
Although a variety of customer relationship management (CRM) activities have been provided by many hospitals in Korea, there lacks empirical evidence on the effect of CRM. The present study was conducted to examine the effect of CRM in terms of the customer response to CRM in a woman's hospital setting. A total of 380 patients receiving inpatient or outpatient care from woman's hospital between October 25 and November 4, 2005 were surveyed for the degree of their experience of and preference for CRM activities of the hospital by 5-point Likert-type scale. Patients were also asked about the level of customer loyalty to the hospital. Eighteen CRM activities offered by the hospital was classified into 4 types of CRM strategies according to Berry and Parasuranman: price, social, structural, and relationship recovery strategy. There's a significant positive correlation between the degree of experience of CRM and preference for CRM(r=0.49, p<0.001). Regression analysis results showed the significant positive relationship between the degree of experience of CRM and customer loyalty(${\beta}$=0.448, p<0.05). Among the 4 CRM strategies, only social(${\beta}$=0.127, p<0.05) and structural strategy(${\beta}$=0.266, p<0.05) showed signifiant positive relationship with customer loyalty. Overall, the favorable customer response to CRM in terms of preference for CRM and customer loyalty indicates that there's a positive effect of CRM on the continuity of the relationship between patients and health care providers.
In this study, on the basis of an analytic hierarchy process (AHP) method and through a questionnaire on subjective preference and importance, various power supply systems were comprehensively compared with multiple decision criteria such as environmental, social, healthy, and economic viewpoints and then overall priority was assessed. When a decision-making problem is modelled by a hierarchy structure, the AHP method is regarded as a useful tool for extracting subjective opinions via the aforementioned questionnaire. Here, the overall preferences were obtained by linearly aggregating weighting vector and preference matrix. The energy systems such as nuclear, coal, and LNG power plants were selected because they took share over 90% of domestic electricity supply in Korea. Furthermore, wind power and photovoltaic solar systems were included as representative renewable energy systems in Korea. According to the results of this demonstration study, the following comprehensive comparison indicators were yielded: 1) weighting factors for 4 types of main criteria as well as for 11 types of sub-criteria; 2) preference valuation for 7 types of energy systems under consideration; 3) overall score for each energy systems.

This paper aims to grasp the characteristics of the cognition and preference on the continents, their relationship, and then each nation's location and direction in case of Korean high school students. First, there exists difference of cognition by six continents as well as by gender and experience of foreign visit among the students. The students have somewhat different preference by each continent, which was affected by gender and experience of foreign visit as well. Second, the cognition of the students on each nation's location showed a positive relation with that on the continents, which was decided by adjacent distance with Korea. The empirical results showed that the higher the gaps of latitude over longitude are, the lower the cognition of the students on direction among nations are. Moreover there are significant gaps by gender and experience of foreign visit in orientation ability. As a result, the geography education may have to be develop the high school students' balanced cognition ability in relation to continents and nations.

Perceived crowding is known as a necessary method to evaluate social carrying capacity in recreational settings. But according to the results of previous research, perceived crowding, use density, and satisfaction have shown weak and indirect correlations. The theory of visitors’ adjustment is one of several possible explanations for this poor relation. But the validity of the visitors’ adjustment theory has not been not inspected clearly. Therefore, the purposes of this study are to understand visitors’ adjustment theory and to examine visitors’ adjustment to the overuse of recreational settings. Study hypotheses were formulated through literature review and related to visitors’ adjustment in recreation density. Pour hypotheses were established and inspected with the case study, i.e., Rationalization : Visitors’ satisfaction isn't related to use density in recreation setting, 2) Product-shift : Preference norm is related to current use density, 3) Self-selection : Visitors’ satisfaction for the use level is generally high, and 4) Displacement : Norm interference is related to willingness to revisit. The case study was conducted during May and June,2001. According to the results of this survey, visitors adjust to overuse of recreation setting through rationalization and product shift (hypotheses l/2 acceptance). Current use density isn't related to visitors’ satisfaction and willingness to revisit (see table 3). And visitors’ preference norm is modified by situation (see table 4). Visitors’ satisfaction and willingness to revisit don't show a high correlation but moderately high (see table 5, hypothesis 3 acceptance). Differences between visitors’ preference norm and current use density is norm interference. Norm interference isn't related to willingness to revisit (see table 7). Therefore, the norm interference concept is not a useful method to explain visitors’ adjustment to the degree of overuse in a recreational setting (hypothesis 4 rejection). As for future directions, the following are proposed: 1) correctly understanding and reestablishing the visitor norm and norm interference concept, 2) introducing a composite research method to monitor visitors’ behavior and survey visitors’ attitudes and coping responses. These efforts would be helpful in the Planning and management of recreational settings to improve the quality of visitors’ experiences.
Regarding leisure and work as very important in residential life of old ages, this study analyzed their preference by leisure and work for senior congregate housing, which can provide proper work and leisure activities for older people who are able to manage their social activities with healthy condition. It conducted a survey of middle aged of the 50's who would face problems of senior housing in 2010, with stratified sampling by region, sex and housing structure type. Totally 556 Questionnaires were used for the final analysis. The research results showed that, first, the group which was positive toward their works mostly had spouse of the age of early 50' s and work for professional, technological, managerial positions with good health. Second, the more positive group towards their work showed high willingness to move in senior congregate housing, than a negative group towards their work, and put a weight on the openness of shared space and facilities as well as various alarming equipments, common space, common programs and the ability of managers. Third, according to the attitudes toward leisure activities, there were differences in each group by housing structure type, education of their own or their spouses, monthly income, property, economic ability, health condition, living together with spouse, housing tenureship, and usable area of houses. The fourth was that those who enjoy active leisure activities presented high willingness to move in senior congregate housing than those of negative attitude and also there was a difference in managerial ways. Throughout the results of the study, it appeared that a group of positive attitude toward work and leisure, than that of negative attitude, recognized the importance of senior congregate housing which social and leisure programs could support. It implied necessary to develop housing for the older people who have enough ability to manage their leisure activity as well as their work. The study is likely to have a contribution to suggest practical data for helping the development of housing for self-reliant seniors by analyzing their preference on senior congregate housing by their attitudes toward work. The research for the factors of various designs and managements by leisure and work may become the following research theme of the study.
The aim of this study is to estimate the recognition of ex-prisoners and experts on rehabilitation programs and family support programs by Korea Rehabilitation Agency, which plays a responsible role in promoting social reintegration. Estimation and comparison method was used to assess between the efficiency and the importance of the rehabilitation business which was respectively recognized by ex-prisoners and experts. The subjects of this study who have received the support from the agency were composed, and the effectiveness was identified. In addition, to measure the importance of the rehabilitation business, a group of experts were made up of professors, the agency employees, and correctional officers with expertise and experience of this field of reintegration and recidivism. Collected data were shown in quadrants by setting preference and importance on each axis through IPA. As a result, there was a significant difference between the preference and importance, and based on this result, the discussion was suggested in relation to the rehabilitation business and family support business.
Objectives: A higher consumption of vegetables is emphasized as the core component of most dietary guidelines. Thus, this research investigated the dietary habits and influencing factors of vegetable preferences of adolescents. Methods: This study was conducted by using a self-administered questionnaire. 400 students from two high schools in Gyeongnam (193 boys, 207 girls) participated in the survey. The questionnaire consisted of the following variables: dietary habit, dietary action guide and factors based on Social Cognitive Theory (SCT). Results: The dietary habits of subjects showed significant differences depending on whether they prefer vegetables or not. The subjects in the group who liked vegetables had better dietary habits than the other group. Also, the study determined that the most important reason for liking or disliking vegetables is due to the taste. In the practice of dietary guidelines, the group of subjects who liked vegetables followed dietary guidelines more closely than the other group (p < 0.001). When the factors based on SCT were analyzed, personal factors showed significant differences between the groups: outcome expectation (p < 0.001), self-efficacy (p < 0.001) and affective attitude (p < 0.001). Personal factors and rated vegetable preferences showed a significant correlation in multiple regression analysis (F=42.015, p < 0.001). Conclusions: These results showed that vegetable preference is associated with a key point of desirable dietary habits among subjects. In order to increase vegetable preference or consumption, it is important to focus on strengthening not only self-efficacy of students, but also affective attitude of vegetable.
