  • This research seeks to improve the understanding of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and its advantages in the shipping sector. Recently, an improved emphasis on CSR, which incorporates environmental and social concerns into economic considerations of firms, can be found in business management and marketing literature. This is mainly because of people's increased awareness in regards to the negative consequences of corporate activities such as increased environmental pollution and gaps between the rich and the poor. According to the previous literature, it has been revealed that responsible actions by companies can generate positive outcomes in terms of financial and time aspects, but more importantly, intangible equity of the company, including improved corporate reputation, image as well as brand. As the regulation is intensifying in regards to environmental and social responsibility in the shipping sector, shipping companies are trying to engage in CSR to gain competitive advantages. While the reputation and image of shipping companies play essential roles for developing sustainable maritime transport, few studies have been conducted for how the CSR of shipping companies influence the shipping companies' reputation and image relative to other industries. In this regard, this study aims to investigate the effect of the corporate social responsibility on corporate reputation and image of shipping companies on the basis of an exploratory study in the Republic of Korea. This research would be beneficial to both academics and practitioners for developing useful CSR strategies which could promote the public's recognition of the shipping sector.

The sample sizes for this paper were a total number of centenarians in the two countries. Centenarians from different regions were examined in conjunction with the social environmental factors of the longevity approach. Statistical analysis was done using the Pearson's coefficient of correlation and regression equations. It became evident that centenarians among two countries lived in regions with lower income levels, lower tobacco consumption, lower levels of air pollution, onion and barley productions, fewer motor vehicles, a lower divorce rate, lower unemployment, soybean and garlic productions, and less water pollution. The finding imply that centenarians among two countries lead to a life of longevity is the result not only social environmental factors reactions that have fresh air, clean water and health food but also of health behaviors that have bacco consumption and divorce rate. Also, these support future studies of improvement of social environmental pollution, agricultural products of health food, and health behaviors of nonsmoking for life of longevity.

  • As the social media which was simple communication media is activated on account of twitter and facebook, it's usability and importance are growing recently. Although many companies are making full use of its the capacity of information diffusion for marketing, the adverse effects of this capacity are growing. Because social network is formed and communicates based on friendships and relationships, the spreading speed of the spam and mal-ware is very swift. In this paper, we draw parameters affecting malicious data diffusion in social network environment, and compare and analyze the diffusion capacity of each parameters by propagation experiment with XSS Worm and Koobface Worm. In addition, we discuss the structural characteristics of social network environment and then proposed malicious data propagation model based on parameters affecting information diffusion. n this paper, we made up BA and HK models based on SI model, dynamic model, to conduct the experiments, and as a result of the experiments it was proved that parameters which effect on propagation of XSS Worm and Koobface Worm are clustering coefficient and closeness centrality.
