The data analysis was done by SPSS, t-test, ANOVA and the Pearson correlation coefficient. The results of were as follows. 1. The level of burden showed a mean score of 54.47, the level of social support, a mean score of 86.00 and the level quality of life, a mean score of 140.20. 2. The level of burden differed according to mother's religion, patient's purpose for admission and perceived patient's condition by mothers. 3. The level of social support and the level of quality of life differed according to perceived patient's condition by mothers. 4. There was a negative correlation between burden and social support(r=-.348, p<.001). Also, burden was negatively related with quality of life(r=-3.97, p<.001). Social support was positively related with quality of life(r=.064, p<.001).
The purpose of this study is to find out the role of social support and self-esteem in the relationship between gaming disorder and suicidality of college students. A survey and analysis were conducted on 1,154 students in a four-year university in Gyeonggi-do of Korea. With analysis of the Internet Gaming disorder scale, 162 people (14%) were subjected to gaming disorder and 992 (86%) were non-gaming disorder. The hypothesis of this study was verified as follows. First, college students with gaming disorder have higher suicidality and lower social support and self-esteem than those with non-gaming disorder. Second, gaming disorder of college students have a positive correlation with suicidality, while gaming disorder will have a negative correlation with social support and self-esteem. Third, social support and self-esteem mediate the relationship between gaming disorder and suicidality of college students. These results show that social support and self-esteem can act as protective factors. The results are very meaningful in that they have verified the high risk of suicidality of college students with gaming disorder. It is suggested, when college students show signs of Internet gaming addiction, a more active prevention for suicidality should be considered as they can become a suicidal high risk group.

Objectives : This study was designed to clarify population-social characteristics that influence the utilization patterns of hospitalized patients in a traditional korean hospital, thereby providing clinical data which would help further improvements of traditional korean medical service in particular the Acupuncture and Moxibustion. Methods : We investigated population-social characteristics and annual utilization patterns of all patients who were hospitalized for more than 24 hours in a Korean Medical Hospital from January 2005 to December 2014. The obtained data were recorded in the EMR chart and statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 21.0. Additionally, data from the patients admitted to the department of Acupuncture and Moxibustion were analyzed separately. Results : 1. All inpatients had a significant annual difference in age, gender, hospitalized department, and disease code annually but not in re-hospitalization number. Inpatients of the department of Acupuncture and Moxibustion also varied in their age, gender, and disease code annually, but not in re-hospitalization number. 2. Pearson correlation analysis on all inpatients showed that the mean days of hospital treatments had a negative correlation with all variables except medical care insurance. Total cost, cost per day per person and recuperation cost had a positive correlation with all variables except medical care insurance. There was no meaningful relationship between nonrecuperation cost and the variables. 3. Stepwise multiple regression analysis on all inpatients showed that the mean days of hospital treatments had a negative correlation with all variables except automobile insurance. The total hospitalization costs had a positive correlation with both general insurance and medical care insurance. Cost per day per person and recuperation cost had a positive correlation with the females. There was no meaningful relationship between non-recuperation cost and the variables. 4. Pearson correlation analysis on inpatients of the department of Acupuncture and Moxibustion inpatients showed that the mean days of hospital treatments had a positive correlation with all variables except general insurance and automobile insurance. Total cost and recuperation cost had a positive correlation with all variables except medical care insurance, and cost per day per person had a positive correlation with females and general insurance. There was no meaningful relationship between non-recuperation cost and the variables. 5. Stepwise multiple regression analysis on inpatients of the department of Acupuncture and Moxibustion inpatients, the mean days of hospital treatments, total cost, cost per day per person and recuperation cost had a positive correlation with general insurance. There was no meaningful relationship between non-recuperation cost and the variables. Conclusion : Population-social characteristics of inpatients annually varies, and the change influences the utilization pattern.
This study examined different individual, family factors and classroom environment that affect children's perceived competency. For classroom psycho-social environment, teacher support, peer relations, classroom involvement and teacher control were used. The sample consisted of 565 fifth and sixth grade children. Statistics and methods used for the data analysis were Cronbach's alpha, Factor analysis, frequency, percentage, t-test, Pearson's correlation, and Hierarchical Regression. Several major results were found from the analysis. First, boy's perceived academic competency was higher than girl's. And no sex difference was in children's social and athletic competency. Second, boy's and girl's perceived academic and social competency and boy's perceived athletic competency had a positive correlation with achievement motivation, intrinsic locus of control, parental support, teacher support, peer relations and classroom involvement. And girl's perceived athletic competency had a positive correlation with achievement motivation, intrinsic locus of control, parental support and peer relations. But boy's and girl's perceived academic and social competency and boy's perceived athletic competency had a negative correlation with anxiety and parental marital conflict. Third, the most important variable predicting boy's and girl's perceived academic competency was achievement motivation. The most important variable predicting boy's and girl's perceived social competency was peer relations. And the most important variable predicting boy's perceived athletic competency was peer relations. This study was conducted with male/female teenagers to examine the interaction between their attachment to social media and their self-identity in both real space and cyberspace. Among the subjects, male teenagers tended to use social media more than female teenagers. Also, the more friends/followers they have, the more they would use the service itself. In the subordinate correlation of the subjects' self-identity in both cyberspace and real space, most areas showed positive correlation. And each subregion of the areas of real-space ego-identity and social media addiction showed positive correlation with them as well. On the other hand, in areas of social media addiction and cyberspace ego-identity, all areas showed negative correlation except the area of dominance. Through this experiment, it was proven apparent that there needs to be proper management of teenagers that are overusing and are addicted to social media, and that programs should be developed to mediate the subjects in regards to each subregion of real space and cyberspace ego-identity.
By extracting the variables related to the work stress generated from dental hygiene, identifying their relationships, this study aims to contribute to academic progress on work stress. The test results of this study are as follows for each hypothesis: 1. Among the work stress sensing factors, role ambiguity showed correlation to the active coping strategy and the passive coping strategy, whereas it did not have any correlation to the evasive reation. However, the physical resource environmental factor showed correlation to the active coping strategy, whereas it did not have any correlation to the other reation. 2. The passive coping strategy, among the work stress coping strategies, influences the role ambiguity, B type, work ambiguity, physical resource environmental factor by about 18.7%. 3. The active coping strategy, among the work stress coping strategies, influences the social support, role ambiguity, work place of health center factor by about 18.9%. 4. The evasive reaction, among the work stress coping strategies, was influenced by only the 36 years old over factor by approximately 4.2%. 5. It was found in all work stress sensing factors that the group with lower social support had a more degree of experiencing stress than the group with higher social support. In case of the behavior pattern, the type A experienced more stress than the type B only in role ambiguity. 6.
