This study was designed to explain the intentions and consumption of dairy foods among university female students. The factors related to intentions of consumption or actual consumption of dairy foods were identified within the theory of planned behavior. The survey questionnaire, developed using open-ended questions (n=35) , was administered to university female students (n:184) Subjects completed information regarding attitudes, subjective norms, perceived control, intentions and consumption of dairy foods. Correlation analysis and multiple regression were used to study the association of factors with intentions and consumption of dairy foods. Subjects showed relatively low intention to consume dairy foods (-0.4 $\pm$ 1.6 from a scale of -4-14). They ate 1.2 $\pm$ 0.9 servings of dairy foods a day and 52.2% of subjects had less than a serving a day, showing inadequate consumption of dairy foods. All three factors, attitudes, subjective norms and perceived control were significantly correlated to the intentions to take dairy foods regularly (r : 0.26-0.27) . Multiple regression results, however, revealed that subjective norms (p < 0.01) and perceived control (p < 0.05) contributed to the model of explaining intentions, while attitudes did not (model $R^2$ : 0.154) . To predict and explain actual consumption of dairy foods, two regression models were examined. In the first model, perceived control was significant in predicting dairy foods consumption, while attitudes and subjective norms were not. In the second model, intentions and perceived control were significantly related to actual consumption of dairy foods, providing the empirical evidence of the theory (model $R^2$: 0.121) These results suggest that perceived control was significant in explaining actual behavior as well as intentions. This study suggests that nutrition education to increase dairy foods consumption for young adults should focus on increasing perception of control and eliciting social support from respected others.
Purpose: This study aimed to explore the effects of a community-based first and third Intergenerational Exchange Program (IGEP) on older adults' health-related quality of life (HRQoL), loneliness, depression, and walking speed, and on 4~5-year-old preschool children's learning-related social skills. Methods: This study employed a non-equivalent control group pre-post-test design. The experimental group included 42 older adults and 42 children who participated in the IGEP for 8 weeks, and the control group included 39 older adults. The experimental group participated in the IGEP once a week for 8 weeks. It comprised a traditional play program based on the intergroup contact theory. Results: Compared to the control group, there was a significant increase in scores on the HRQoL-Visual analogue scale (VAS) and a decrease in loneliness and depression in older adults in the experimental group (p<.05). Children who participated in the IGEP showed an improvement in their learning-related social skills (p<.001). Conclusion: These results confirm that the IGEP is an effective intervention to improve HRQoL-VAS, loneliness, and depression among older adults and learning-related social skills among preschool children in the community.
Based on Goffman's dramaturgical theory and self-objectification framework, this study examined: 1) Chinese female's WeChat self-presentation, 2) the impact of WeChat usage on female self-objectification, and 3) the impact of self-objectification on WeChat self-presentation tactics. An online survey was conducted. The main findings include: 1) most of the participants chose to beautify their pictures and videos before they posted them, 2) the respondents attached higher importance to appearance-based body attributes than competence-based ones, 3) the most frequently applied self-presentation tactic was ingratiation, 4) WeChat usage was not a predictor of Chinese women's self-objectification, and, 5) along with extroversion, self-objectification had an impact on ingratiation, supplication, self-promotion, and exemplification. Meanwhile, use of the electronic curtain and audience sifting to control who can see a post and for how long demonstrated the empowerment of the users when they conduct self-presentation.
The purposes of this study were to(a) develop theoretical modifications of the extended gate control theory of pain using Fishbein's model and(b) test the efficacy of these modifications. Attitude, social subjective norm, personal subjective norm, habit and state anxiety were operationalized to represent internal stimuli for the cognitive-evaluative and motivational-affective dimensions of the theory. Pain expression was operationalized as sensory and affective responses to pain, and pain endurance. Sixty-two female nurses from 20 to 50 years of age participated. A semantic differential scale measured attitude and motivations to comply; a Likerty-type scale measured personal and social norms and habit. Spielberger's STAI measured state anxiety, Pain was produced using a modified submaximum effort tourniquet technique. Pair expression was measured using ratio scales of sensory intensity and unpleasantness developed by Gracely and his associates. Pain endurance was measured by subtracting time of pain threshold from pain tolerance. The first hypothesis examining whether pain endurance would be more significantly related to the affective response than to the sensory response was net rejected. Four remaining hypotheses, testing the ability of the five variables to predict the sensory and affective responses were not rejected. However, the habit of pain expression and the attitude toward pain expression contributed to the prediction of both sensory and affective responses to pain. The interaction between the cognitive-evaluative and the sensory-discriminative dimensions and the interaction between the cognitive-evaluative and motivational-affective dimensions were partially supported by the data from these two variables. The interaction between the motivational-affective and the sensory-discriminative dimensions was also supported by the relationship of sensory to affective responses. The variables which did not significantly predict pain expression appeared to have potential for prediction. Revision and testing of the tools for better reliability, validity, and clinical usuability are needed. The study contributed to theory building. The identification of variables which pre-dict pain behavior must occur before effective nursing interventions can be developed.
Objectives : In order to understand and apply Lee Jema's emotion control method, the basic concepts of his nature-temperament theory was examined. Lee's thoughts on emotion control, and the basic principles of his method were deduced from this process. Methods : The meaning and set-up of basic concepts in his nature-temperament theory as written in text such as the Donguisusebowon, Gyeokchigo, and Donguisusebowon Sasang Chobongwon were examined, and compared with similar concepts of Confucianism. Results & Conclusions : Out of concepts set by Lee, the Ae(哀)-No(怒)-Hui(喜)-Rak(樂) nature-temperament is the condition for emotion control. Junghwa(中和) is the aim of emotion control according to different stages of emotional expression, and Jiin(知人) is the precondition for emotion control. Lee's basic principles of emotion control could be summarized as following. First, it must be done with the aim for 'Goodness[善]' to be manifested. Second, it must be based on clear understanding of 'Insa(人事)'. Lastly, Hoyeonjigi(浩然之氣) and Hoyeonjiri(浩然之理) must be consistently cultivated for stable emotion control.

This study will explain the determinants factors that can increase donation behavior in public funding. The originality of this study is the use of Agreeableness Personality and Social Exclusive as predictors in Theory of Planned Behavior. Besides that, this study involves Attitude, Perceived Behavioral Control, Religiosity, Intention to Donate, and Donation Behavior. The population of this research is all people registered as active participants of BPJAMSOSTEK in East Java Province, of which 400 people are used as samples. The data analysis method used to test the hypothesis is SEM, which was conducted by utilizing the WarpPLS 6.0 software. The study found that Agreeableness Personality significantly had a positive effect on Attitude and Perceived Behavior Control, while Social Exclusive only significantly had a positive effect on Perceived Behavior Control. Attitude and Perceived Behavior Control influence the Intention to Donate positively, then consequently had a positive effect on Donation Behavior. Religiosity tends to strengthen the influence of the Intention to Donate to Donation Behavior. To improve donation behavior in the general public, BPJAMSOSTEK must organize a form of labor protection efforts to bring prosperity to all workers in Indonesia.
This study examined the influence of the antecedents of knowledge transfer from both the knowledge source's and recipient's perspectives using a social network survey. Prior research usually focused on either perspective of the knowledge source or recipient, thus could not include both. Analyzing the responses from 335 R&D employees of the five firms, the study showed that all antecedents of knowledge transfer - reward, reciprocity, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control - are influential on knowledge transfer from the knowledge source's perspective. However, from the knowledge recipient's perspective, perceived behavioral control was influential on the quality of knowledge transfer and subjective norm was on the number of knowledge recipients. Expected reward and reciprocity did not show significant influence. This study proved that the necessity of considering both the knowledge source's and the recipient's perspectives when measuring knowledge transfer and the importance of intrinsic motivations, such as subjective norm and perceived behavioral control.
This study aimed to examine the mechanisms underlying digital game usage behavior by applying the Theory of Planned Behavior and the Balance Theory. It investigated the influences of attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control on the intention to use digital games, as well as the differences in the application of the Theory of Planned Behavior model based on the balance state among individuals, significant others, and digital games. A total of 315 responses from adult PC game users were collected through an online survey conducted from October 21 to 25, 2021, and were analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The results revealed that attitude and perceived behavioral control had a significant positive impact on the intention to continue using digital games, while subjective norms did not exert a significant influence. By categorizing groups into balanced, unbalanced, and imbalance states based on the balance relationship, the application of the Theory of Planned Behavior model showed that in the unbalanced and imbalance groups, both perceived behavioral control and attitude had a positive impact on the intention to continue using digital games. However, in the balanced group, attitude only had a positive impact on the intention to continue game usage. This study contributes to understanding digital game users by examining both individual psychological factors and the influence of others on digital game usage behavior.

The current study aims to investigate the relationship between CSRD and firm performance, as an indicator for corporate socially responsible behavior, and corporate market performance of listed companies on the Amman stock exchange (ASE). The study adopts a quantitative methodology and utilizes pooled data sets that was collected following content analysis approach of the annual reports for the period 2014 to 2019. The study sample consists of 42 listed companies. The study ran a multiple regression model in order to capture the relationship between the independent variable CSRD and the dependent variable that is Firm performance which was measured using Tobin's Q. The study also utilized five control variables in order to control the hypothesized relationship between CSRD and Firm Performance. The results indicate a negative but significant relationship between CSRD and corporate market performance measured by Tobin's Q. The results stand against the notion of the business case for CSR, and indicate the opposite position, so, the higher CSRD, the lower will be Tobin's Q. Such results support the notion of the institutional theory, and provide an initial evidence for legitimacy seeking behavior in Jordanian companies. However, the results indicate a lower level of awareness of CSR across investors and market players, which support arguments of the difference in market perceptions towards CSR.

Entrepreneurship research has focused on several factors that might affect the intention of an individual to start an enterprise. Using principles from social network theory and the entrepreneurial intention model (EI), the current research intends to investigate how social capital is formed on Social Networking Sites (SNS) and how the resulting social capital influences entrepreneurial intention. Using an online survey, 151 valid responses were received from university students. Applying partial least square structural equation modeling, positive and significant relationship was found between the SNS usage and bonding and bridging social capital. Further, it was also found that online-bonding social capital does not impact any of the three antecedents of entrepreneurial intention. On the other hand, online-bridging social capital significantly influences personal attitudes and subjective norms. It was also found that both personal attitude and perceived behavioral control significantly relate to EI, while the subjective norms do not relate significantly to EI. The paper contributes to the literature on technology-based human behavior and entrepreneurship in emerging countries, opening some areas for future research, while also providing some managerial insights. It also should be beneficial to educational institutions in understanding how the use of SNS use by students may be optimized.
