Unlike the past, efforts must be made to interpret physical distribution from a network perspective as the service area expands spatially. In addition, logistics networks are undergoing rapid changes due to various changes in the environment. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze the changes in the structure of maritime cargo and the centrality of ports using social network analysis. Using the trade data of domestic maritime at five-year intervals, we investigated changes in the network structure and identified the main factors that affect the centrality of domestic ports. Ports with the highest centrality, which is seen as a port that plays the role of an intermediary, emerged in the order of Busan and Ulsan. This study predicts patterns of domestic cargo trade over the next 20 years based on changes in port centrality and understanding of maritime cargo network, and can be used as reference materials for risk preparation.
This study aims to find out the ESG management keywords in the logistics industry through social network analysis using news article and sustainable management reports. In recent years, global climate change and Covid-19 have spurred companies to step up their new management system called ESG management. ESG is a combination of Environment, Social, and Governance. In the past, companies' financial performance was the most important, but in the current investment market, the movement to reflect ESG management factors in investment decisions is strengthening. This study aims to find out degree centrality, betweenness centrality, and closeness centrality through social network analysis after collecting related keywords to derive ESG management issues of logistics companies. This study collected 2,359 news articles searched under the keywords "ESG", "Logistics". In addition, data on ESG activities were also used for analysis by referring to the sustainable management reports of logistics companies. As a result of the analysis of degree centrality, it was found that ESG management of logistics companies is in progress, focusing on small enterprises and eco-friendly keywords, and is concentrated on social responsibility and eco-friendly activities. In the betweenness centrality analysis, logistics companies such as HMM and CJ Logistics were derived in a high ranking. In the closeness centrality analysis, eco-friendly keywords topped the list, while the number of keywords related to governance was relatively small, suggesting that logistics companies need to improve their governance structure.
A Skeletal Class III malocclusion may be the result of a large mandible, a small maxilla or combination of the two. Protraction devices for the maxilla are used to promote the growth of a deficient maxilla by applying extraoral force to actively growing patients. This study has been performed to determine whether there are significant differences in skeletal and dental changes between FH/Pal 1 and FH/Pal 2 group, SNA 1 and SNA 2 group, SNB 1 and SNB 2 group, and LFH 1 and LFH 2 group after RME and facial mask therapy. The results of this study can be summarized and concluded as follows ; 1. In all patients after maxillary protraction, the maxilla and maxillary dentitions moved forward, and the mandible rotated backward and downward. In most of them, palatal plane is tends to have an upward inclination. 2. The FH/Pal group 1, having an upward inclination of the palatal plane as a result of Facial mast showed statistically significant maxillary forward movement compared to the FH/Pal group 2. 3. The SNA group 1 showed significantly less mandibular backward movement and there was a tendency for the palatal plane to upward inclination compared to SNA group 2. 4. The SNB group 1 showed significantly less maxillary forward movement, but the vertical dimension, especially the lower facial height increased by mandibular downward rotation compared to SNB group 2. 5. LFH group 1, which had large saddle angle and posterior positioned mandible in the pre-treatment stage, showed maxillary protraction effect without significant increase in lower facial height compared to LFH group 2.
Objective: The purpose of this prospective study was to evaluate the dentofacial effects of conventional and modified facemask therapies with rapid maxillary expansion, in a group of Class III patients; and compared with an untreated control group. Methods: The conventional facemask group (Group 1) comprised of 24 patients, 13 girls and 11 boys (mean age, $9.2{\pm}1.4$ years); the modified facemask treatment group (Group 2) comprised of 24 patients, 12 girls and 12 boys (mean age, $9.3{\pm}1.6$ years); and the control group (Group 3) comprised of 21 subjects, 11 girls and 10 boys (mean age, $9.8{\pm}1.9$ years). Treatment and control changes within the groups and the differences between the groups were analyzed statistically. Intra-group comparisons were evaluated using the non-parametric Wilcoxon's test and intergroup changes were analyzed using the Kruskal-Wallis test. The statistical significance of intergroup differences was further assessed with the Mann-Whitney test for independent samples and applying Bonferroni's correction (p < 0.016). Results: In group 1, SNB changes were less than the control. There were increases in SNA, ANB, SN-MP, A to N perp and Upper lip to E plane. In group 2, SNB, U1-NA (mm) U1-NA (${\circ}$) and Pog to N perp (mm) changes were less than the control. There were increases in SNA, ANB, SN-MP, A to N perp and Upper lip to E plane. Conclusions: Modified facemask appliance can be used effectively in Class III patients with a retrognathic maxilla. Facemask therapies with expansion resulted in an anterior advancement and translation of maxilla without rotation; and the mandible moved downward and backward ward in both treatment groups.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the trends in domestic and international gifted education in the last six years (2010-2015) by utilizing social network analysis methods. For papers of gifted education in Korea, two KCI (Korea Citation Index) rated journals, the 'Gifted/Talented Education' (The Korean Society for the Gifted) and 'Gifted and Talented Education' (The Korean Society for the Gifted and Talented Education) were selected and 457 pieces published in two journals were collected. The papers of 347 published in SSCI rated journals, 'The Gifted Child Quarterly,' 'Journal for the Education of the Gifted,' and 'High Ability Studies' were selected. English keywords were extracted from 457 papers from Korean journals and 347 papers from foreign journals and the Social Network Analysis (SNA) way was utilized for keyword frequency and central network analyses. It was appeared that the trends of paper keywords from domestic and foreign countries showed common keywords, 'academically gifted', 'science gifted', and 'gifted' as center keyword frequency, and keywords, 'achievement', 'identification', 'intelligence' appeared as the most frequent ones. For domestic papers, keywords, 'creativity', 'gifted education', and 'gifted education teacher' were the highest frequent keywords while keywords, 'foreign countries', and 'student attitudes' were most frequent ones for the foreign countries. For the analysis of papers from five journals as one group, it was found that keywords, 'identification', 'intelligence', and 'achievement' were the most important common ones and keywords, 'cognitive', 'motivation', and 'self-concept' were appeared as important keywords. The trend of gifted education in Korea seems to be different from ones of foreign countries, domestic papers of gifted education rarely included keywords of 'foreign examples', 'student attitudes', and 'gender differences.' Consequently, the trend of gifted education in Korea called for various research perspectives.
In recent years, due to rapidly increasing user-created internet contents coupled with the development of community-based websites, the internet resource recommendation systems are attracting attentions of the users. However, most of the systems have failed in properly reflecting users' characteristics and thus they have difficulty in recommending appropriate resources to users. In this paper, we propose an internet resource recommendation method using FOAF and SNA which fully reflects the characteristics of users. In our method, 1) we extract the data about user characteristics and tags using FOAF; 2) we generate graphs representing users, user characteristics and tags after inserting data into 3 matrixes and integrating them; 3) we recommend the appropriate internet resources after selecting common characteristics of the recommended items and Hot tags by analyzing social network. For verification of our proposed method, we implemented our method to establish and analyze an experimental social group. We verified through our experiments that the more users added in the social network, the higher quality of recommendation result we got than the item-based recommendation method. By using the suggested idea in this paper, we can make a more appropriate recommendation of resources to users while effectively retrieving explosively increasing internet resources.
This study identified terminologies related to the proximity and frequency of disaster by social network analysis (SNA) and text mining, and then expressed the outcome into a mind map. The termdocument matrix of text mining was utilized for the terminology proximity analysis, and the SNA closeness centrality was calculated to organically express the relationship of the terminologies through a mind map. By analyzing terminology proximity and selecting disaster response-related terminologies, this study identified the closest field among all the disaster response fields to disaster response and the core terms in each disaster response field. This disaster response terminology analysis could be utilized in future core term-based terminology standardization, disaster-related knowledge accumulation and research, and application of various response scenario compositions, among others.
Nematophagous fungi were successfully isolated by baited plating, centrifugation technique of soil, and direct isolation from naturally ingested nematodes. Predominant seven fungi isolated were identified as Artheobotrys arthroboteyides, A.conoides, A. oligospora, Dactylella lobata, Fusatium oxysporum, Monacrosporium ellopsoporum and Harposporium anguillu-lae. Of these, six fungi were tested for cultural characteristics except. H, anguillulae, extre-mely fastidious fungus in artificial media. Among 14 media tested in this experiment, Corn-meal Agar (CMA) and Oatmeal Agar (OMA) were the most suitable media for growing all six nematophagous fungi. Weakly saprophytic M. ellipsospoyum also grew vigoroualy on these two media. The radial growth, dry weight and sporulation of the fungi tested were quite diverse depending on the culture media. D. lobata revealed good growth and abundantly sporulated on Glucoes Peptone Agar (GPA). Although over-all growth of F, oxysporum was not satisfactory on Sucrose Nitrate Agar (SNA), the sporulation was best on this medium. Optimum conditious for mycelial growth and sporulation of nematophagous fungi ranged pH 5-8 and 20-$30^{\circ}C$ on SNA. D. lobata and F, oxysporum grew vigorously and most profusely sporulated on all media tested. They turned out an most promising biocontrol agents for their aggressive growth and sporulation over the ranges of temperature and pH ranges.
This study examines the cruise course network structure in the Asian regions and the centrality of ports using social network analysis (SNA). For network analysis of Asian cruise courses, a data network of cruise courses was constructed using data on courses of cruise ships operating in Asian ports collected from the reports of the Cruise Lines International Associations. There are 249 nodes or ports of ship companies that provide cruise courses to Asia between from October 2015 to June 2016, and these nodes connect 545 ports. Density analysis based on ports where cruise ship companies operated cruise ships showed that, from October 2015 to June 2016, the density was 0.009, which was lower than the average of global port network density (2006 to 2011) and railroad network density. In addition, was calculated to be, which means that connection with all ports was possible through 2,180 steps. In the analysis of the Asian cruise course network centrality, Singapore ranked first in both out-degree and in-degree in connection centrality, followed by Hong Kong, Shanghai, Ho Chi Minh, and Keelung. Singapore also ranked first in the result betweenness centrality analysis, followed by Penang, Dubai, and Hong Kong. From October 2015 to June 2016, the port with the highest Eigenvector centrality was Hong Kong, followed by Ho Chi Minh, Singapore, Shanghai, and Danang. In the case of the domestic ports Incheon, Busan, and Jeju, connection centrality, betweenness centrality, and Eigenvector centrality all ranked lower than their competitor Chinese ports.
Competitiveness of container ports has been traditionally evaluated by capability of individual ports to provide services to customers or their service quality. However, since container ports are connected by container shipping networks to varying degrees, the status of the ports in liner shipping service networks also determines competitiveness of the ports. Sometimes same ports may play different roles in different forms of shipping networks. Shipping network connections that formulate in container ports therefore have more significant impact on their performance than service capabilities they have. This study aims to explore how the shipping and port network has been structured and changed in the past and to examine the network characteristics of ports using Social Network Analysis(SNA). In this SNA study, nodes in the network are the ports-of-call of the liner shipping services and links in the network are connections realized by vessel movements, such that the liner shipping networks determine the port networks. This study, therefore, investigates the liner shipping networks and through its results demonstrates the network characteristics of the ports that are represented by the four centrality indices. This provides port authorities and terminal operating companies with managerial implications to enhance competitiveness from customers' perspectives.
